Samantha looks smashing tonight in purple. I am actually digging her dress and hair. I think wardrobe liked her this week. Tom said tonight will be the most dramatic elimination so far. Anyways, the judges picked the encore dance of Team Tango. Oh joy! Was I the only one who liked Team Mambo? Apparently so. We have recaps and backstage confessionals. They ended with poor Tony stating he was very nervous and hoped he will pull through. He still looked like a beaten down dog.
Now we get a cheesy taped package about the “offers that have come in for these stars.” There is some guy singing trying to make it funny. I just rolled my eyes and so did my fiance.
Our special guest tonight is Robin Thicke. I don’t know who this guy is and I’m not sure if I really care. The crowd roars and that is because our pros of Cheryl Burke, Edyta Sliwinska and Kym Johnson. They all have yellow dresses on all different styles. The men are also out wearing yellow tops and black pants. The men are Dmitry Chaplin, Alec Mazo, and Tony Dovolani. I feel so sorry for Tony. I think he feels he could win it this season with Melissa and to have this happen - he looks a bit devastated. I just hope the voters pulled them through. Yes, she was hurt and couldn’t dance, but she deserves to be in the competition.
First safe couple is Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough. Next safe couple is Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower. Wow - who will be in the bottom 2 tonight? More celebrity endorsements..this one is called Dance Match featuring Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks with Melissa Rycroft as the spokesperson. I suppose it was kind of cute. I do miss Dance Center though. They better be bringing that back here shortly.
Robin Thicke is back again. Here comes Anna and Pascha from So You Think You Can Dance.
Next safe couple is Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke. Mark Ballas looks a little on edge and possibly pissed. He is left along with partner Shawn, Melissa Rycroft and Chuck Wicks.
Now we see another “paid commercial” where all the professionals are putting disco balls in front of their private parts. Cheryl had two big ones in front of her ta tas. Tony Dovolani had a small one in front of his package and Derek Hough had a HUGE one in front of his. It was pretty funny actually. They all have nice bodies that is for sure.
Genya Mazo and Afton Del Grosso are back to be the next new pro. They have the quickstep this week. This quickstep is lovely and very in sync. I really liked it and so did the judges. We will now have to vote again and whoever has the most votes between the 4 they brought back tonight wins and will be the next pro for next season.
Next up are Mayo Alanen and Anna Demidova. They are dancing the jive. Both dancers are very tall and this jive could look really good if they do it right. This looks awesome with their long legs. I thought Mayo rocked this one!! Carrie Ann was shocked with Mayo’s performance as he really rocked it. All the judges liked it of course. They really liked Mayo too.
More results…next safe couple is Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas. He picks her up and kisses her back. He looked absolutely relieved. So the bottom 2 tonight is Chuck/Julianne and Melissa/Tony. I don’t want either to go home really.
Leaving us tonight is Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough. Melissa Rycroft is safe for this week. Melissa is crying…and Chuck blamed the team dance. haha! I hate to see him go, but I really didn’t think he could win it all. I just didn’t. See ya next week!

Tonight we have team dance. I’m interested in seeing just who is on a team together. Ty really needs to be on with Gilles and either Shawn or Lil’ Kim and again he will need to step it up this week or he will be a goner. Anyways, first impressions: Gilles and Cheryl look like clowns. Ty Murray looks hot in brown silk and Chelsie in gold. Lil’ Kim and Derek are decked out in black. Lil’ literally has it all the way up to her neck and long sleeves. Chuck and Julianne have royal blue on and I do believe he has on silk again as I’m sure it gave him luck last week. Shawn Johnson has on blue fringe and Mark’s tie matches with a black suit. And Melissa Rycroft is missing. WTH? Where is she? Tom is explaining that Melissa suffered an injury this week and isn’t with us. He will tell us more details later. I guess since Tony is there they will be judged on their practice maybe.
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke are up first dancing the Lindy Hop. No wonder he is dressed like a clown. Gilles is having shoulder problems and had to see the doctor. He received a cortizone shot and he is back to new. In practice Cheryl is getting mean b/c she keeps getting injured. They are doing lots of lifts and flips and that just isn’t working for Cheryl. We’ll see if it all came together. They play on the stairs and he jumps off the middle ones. He looks like he is off on his steps and his timing was a bit off in the beginning. Her flip turned out ok, but it seemed like he stalled for a bit. The transitions b/w moves weren’t smooth and seamless. It really didn’t feel like a smooth Gilles performance in my opinion. Len thought it was good (hmmm?). Bruno said he was a great dancer with versatility - he liked seeing the comedy and pointed out a little mis-step. Carrie Ann agreed with Bruno and loved this other side of Gilles and doesn’t think he has to worry about the audience at home voting for him. Hmmm…was I the only one who didn’t think it was THAT good? Maybe I have turned into critical Len. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough are up second dancing the Paso Doble. She is doing embarrassing moves in practice. I think they are embarrASSing, but she doesn’t apparently. She needs to give up the karate chops and do the Paso. They are starting out very powerfully which is perfect for this dance. She is right on point with her steps. Bruno was up clapping several times and the audience was clapping/screaming throughout. It was good. They seemed pleased. Bruno said “the bitch is back and she means business”. I think he said bitch?? He said it was a classic Paso - well done. Carrie Ann thought it was a great showcase for her and it showed us how much she had grown. Len thought it was going to be a disaster, but she came out with fire and passion. She goes and gives Len a kiss on the cheek and ends up giving them all kisses. Scores were 2 9’s and a 10 from Bruno for a 28 out of 30.
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough dance the (they are playing backstage and she looks like she is slapping him and then kneeing him in the “package” LOL!) cha cha cha. There is a lot of Julianne turning while he poses and that bores me. My fiance just yelled out “boring” and he thought he was too slow compared to her. I thought it was alright. Their dance last week was better I thought. Julianne thought it was the bomb. Carrie Ann thought he is now in the game and loved his hips. She told him to watch his chin. Len thinks this is turning into a fantastic competition. He loved the hips, but told him to work on his arms as they are wooden. Bruno thought he had great bum action, but thought his arms were too wooden. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Bruno for a 26 out of 30.
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas are up next dancing the Samba. Mark brings in his Mom so Shawn can see the feminine parts. They have a lot of bounce in their step. It seemed a bit controlled to me and I didn’t really like the choreography or something. It was just not THAT great…good but not great. Len said it lacked hip action, the dress was doing most of the work, too many running promenades and thought it was just good - not great. Bruno thought it was a good Samba and thought she has time to grow into it. Carrie Ann said she thought it was wonderful and loved the “sexy thing” Shawn was getting on. Scores were 1 10 from CA, 8 from Len, and a 9 from Bruno for a 27 out of 30. Not worth a 10 - hmmm.
Tom said Melissa suffered a rib injury and will be able to continue according to the doctors. We are going to look at her practices and see what is going on. They have the jive this week. She did a move and she experienced a blinding pain down her side. The doctor thinks it is a hairline fracture. The only thing Tony can’t do is throw her in the air. Melissa was able to rehearse this AM and the pain progressed - but the judges will be able to judge her on the rehearsal. She is wearing a little bra, jeans, and her dance shoes. Cute! It was very upbeat, but of course they aren’t putting it all there b/c it is practice and she had to stop and pull her jeans up. Of course it wasn’t professional at all, but what can you do? Bruno thought it was 50% effectiveness of a dance - kicks/flicks weren’t that great. Carrie Ann says they were marking meaning they weren’t going full out b/c there were no audience. Len said the arms were too soft and there was no bounce. Poor Tony looks like a beaten down dog. I hope America can pull them through this week - VOTE!!! Scores were all 7’s for a total of 21 out of 30.
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower have the Salsa this week. Latin is not Ty’s forte so he needs to rev it up this week. Dmitry is brought in to help out to show him the sexy-ness. Dmitry also thinks he needs to open his shirt and get a spray tan. We see Ty with a shower cap on getting spray tanned. This is edited for TV b/c they usually have to be all naked while they get spray tanned. Ty thinks the spray tan alone is worth a 7 at least. Me too! hehe! He is really hitting the steps hard tonight and letting loose. I just don’t see much hips from him as it doesn’t look like it was choreographed with much hips for him. Chelsie it seemed was the star of the dance in my opinion. Tom liked it though and so did Jewel who looked like an 80’s “hag” in the audience. Hag was my Fiance’s word for it. Carrie Ann loved it and said he is the most inconsistent dancer and never knows what to expect. She loved his upper body strength. Len said he has had the wildest of rides just like bull riding - he’s hung on for 8 weeks. Len said unless he comes out and really performs in the group tango - he needs to hit the trail. Boo Len! Bruno said he just went wild - perhaps it was the spray tan. Bruno enjoyed watching it, but thought the hip action came from the knees, but he seemed to still like it. Carrie Ann gave a 9, Len a 7, and Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 out of 30.
Group dance time: Team Mambo and Team Tango.
Team Mambo consists of Chuck Wicks, Melissa Rycroft, and Shawn Johnson. I’m not sure how Melissa is going to get judged on this. I guess the judges will judge Tony and that will count. Who knows? Here we go - Lacey Schwimmer is filling in for Melissa. Tom explained that Melissa will receive the same score as her teammates. That’s nice. They dance to Beyonce. Lacey and Tony were hot - would have loved to see Melissa. Shawn is always right on point with the music and never misses a step. I am liking their solo so far. Chuck and Julianne are up next and CA is right - he does have a chin problem. LOL! The guys remove the girls skirts and then they are standing up on the judges table stripping as well. The guys have on tights with white pantyhose, black socks and shoes. They look like they belong in Flashdance. That was soooo hilarious and cute. I loved Team Mambo! Len thought it was fun, entertaining, it was tight - Len loved the professionals and thought it was great that Lacey just stepped in like that. Bruno thought the boys stood out tonight and they are all hiding their packages. Carrie Ann thought the ending was distracting and a little much - she thought the music overpowered them stating it was more fun then they had in their number. WHATEVER CARRIE ANN! She’s been weird all night long. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from Bruno for a 25 out of 30.
Team Tango consists of Ty Murray, Lil’ Kim and Gilles Marini. Cheryl is really laying into Gilles. This is EXACTLY what she did with Drew and they won it. Lil’ Kim and Derek are arguing too b/c of the pressure. Hmmm… here we go. Audience is screaming up a storm already. They dance to “Womanizer.” Ty and Gilles have their shirts off. Kim looks a little loose and not as strong as she needs to be in her solo. She missed a step as well. Here comes Ty with a jacket on now. He has got his stern face on and is keeping great hold. I think the music is very slow and needs to be sped up. Lil’ Kim and Derek’s solo seemed a bit long compared to Ty’s. Gilles and Cheryl are up last pulling up the rear. They look great together and their faces tell the whole story - they have the best solo. They are perfectly in sync when they all three dance together. The crowd liked it. I didn’t think it was as good as Team Mambo. The music was too slow for my taste. Bruno thought it was powerful, naughty, and beautiful. He loved the end sequence. Carrie Ann said she thought team Tango takes it b/c of their team work. Len points out the little blunder with Lil’ Kim and Derek. Len thought Ty nailed it and Gilles had missteps with his footwork. Scores were 2 9’s and a 10 from Bruno for a 28 out of 30. Team Tango does take it.
Leaderboard:
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough 28 out of 30
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke 27 out of 30
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas 27 out of 30
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough 26 out of 30
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower 24 out of 30
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani 21 out of 30
Melissa and Ty could be in the bottom 2 and I hope that you will do what you need to do to keep Melissa. She deserves to be the competition so VOTE VOTE VOTE! See ya tomorrow night!

Oh yes, Joanne, I was taking big stab at the old broads who love Ty. That wouldn’t be you would it? LOL! You know I love you, Joanne. Anyways, just as predicted (yes, the show is becoming quite predictable) the encore dance is the group dance. Let’s take a gander at it again, shall we? Shawn did something different this time (standing on her hands moving her legs in the air) and I must say I liked her first bit better last night. Loved it all again. Good stuff! Recraps…
Len’s shirt and tie from last night was lovely - lovin’ the purple. Go Len. Oh here we go - injury drama. Melisa bruised her ribs in practice and still went out there and did her stuff. We still haven’t heard about Ty. Apparently Jewel tweeted (twittered) that Ty dislocated his rib last night. I want to know why we aren’t hearing any of this Ty drama. Perhaps he demanded they keep it under wraps. Jewel said this show is dangerous. Ya think? Oh here’s a taped package about the physical demands this show entails. Perhaps they will get into Ty’s injuries here. We have our very own expert talking in medical terms. Wow - they are talking about calorie burning and perhaps I should give up my running for dancing. Next up - Natasha Bedingfield singing her new single, “Soulmate.” Lacey and Dmitry are dancing all sexy to the song. Great job dancing Lacey and Dmitry - very sultry and sexy.
They are really drawing out this elimination - we now have more special guests. Apparently they are called “Burn the Floor.” Too bad I am live and can’t Fast Forward. I don’t really like group dances when it is people I do not know. I’m not saying they aren’t good, but I lose interest fast, ya know? I’ll check in after this is over with.
Samantha is backstage with Ty/Chelsie and Chuck/Julianne. Apparently Samantha tells us that next week there will be a team dance. Team Tango and Team Mambo. That should be interesting.
The moment we’ve been waiting for - first saved couple: Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani are safe as are Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas. No surprises there!
This season for the first time ever DWTS is giving us the chance to pick a new pro for next season. The judges will give their opinion, but won’t vote. We get that ultimate decision. Afton DelGrosso and Brent Borbon are up first. Afton is Ashley DelGrosso’s sister. They are dancing the Cha Cha Cha. They both did great. Not sure how America is going to choose. Len thought this is a wonderful competition. He thought Afton showed more flair than Brent. Ashley was in the audience and screamed for her. Bruno had great comments for both and is curious to see Brent in ballroom. Carrie Ann thinks Brent has a definite TV presence. She told Afton she is beautiful. Ashley was screaming her head off. I think this is an interesting competition.
Next up Anna Demidova - she’s Russian. Her partner is Mayo Alanen. He reminds me of a young Louis Van Amstel. Anna is beautiful. They are dancing the waltz. Mayo has a very nice skinny body with nice lines. Their dance was beautiful. Carrie Ann loved it. She loved Mayo’s distinguished character and Anna’s star quality. Len said they made the dance look fantastic and is interested in seeing them in Latin. Bruno thought Mayo’s lines were beautiful and something about Anna I didn’t quite understand. I often times think I need a translator to understand Bruno.
Next up is Snow Urbin who was on So You Think You Can Dance. Genya Mazo is her partner and his brother is Alec Mazo winner of season 1. They are doing the Rumba. They are having issues in practice because he thinks he is carrying her in the dance. Ouch! Is it just me or do the potential pros who has a bro or sister that was a pro before have an advantage? Bruno thought Snow was on fire and thought Genya was very supportive of her. Carrie Ann agreed. Len thought Genya danced like a real man and liked Snow’s passion - no raunchy and he liked it. He mentioned that Genya got smacked in the mouth and still carried on. I could tell there was blood on his teeth. I rewound it and couldn’t tell where he got smacked.
So who is your favorite new pro? Spill it!
More guest stars “Celtic Woman.” Let’s get this show on the road, shall we? I just fast forwarded it - it did sound beautiful, but I need this show on the road, seriously!
Finally - the elimination - no dance off either. Next saved couples are: Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough (Booo!) and Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke. Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska and Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are the bottom 2 (not necessarily the bottom though). Leaving us tonight is Lawrence and Edyta. Awww. It was about time. Tom calls him out on wanting to leave the show and get back to the golf course. He gushed about Edyta being the best partner. How sweet. He is ready to get back to his golf game. We were ready for him to go too.
I must say that when they showed the last 4 couples on the stage, it looked like the girls were Disney Princesses with their gold, blue, and pink gowns. It was actually pretty. Anyways, Ty better step his game up or he could be the next one outta here. You old broads better get your fingers rested so you can dial like a maniac next week for Ty. And don’t forget we have our first team dance. Let’s hope Ty is on a team with Gilles and Shawn to make him look good. He could use all the votes he can get.

Well I’ve been reading that Ty Murray was hurt last week in the group dance. His Mic. pack hit him in the eye causing some bleeding. You can bet the producers are gonna milk that drama! This week the dancers not only have to learn their normal dance routine, but the group dance routine. This should be interesting and fun! I always love a good group dance.
First impressions: Lil’ Kim looks lovely in pink. Lawrence has a blue velvet suit on. Gilles Marini is decked out in a black suit with gold shirt and matching gold tie. He looks handsome as usual. Chuck Wicks has on red silk with the middle of his shirt unbutton revealing a nice tan, non-hairy chest. Ohh lala. Ty Murray has on a suit without the jacket and a burgundy tie. Shawn Johnson has on a weird color combination with black on one side and pink/tan on the other and it is sequined. Melissa Rycroft has on red and black with lots o’ sequins and sparkles. I can say that I do not like Shawn’s costume at all. Yuck! Tom reminds us that the Stars helped design the costumes this week. I must say that Lawrence has Edyta all covered up in a long blue gown showing NO SKIN and she even has feathery/fur up around her face. I’m sure that will be coming off b/c who can dance in that getup? She looks like a blue snow bunny. For the most part, I think the Stars did a good job of designing the outfits except for Shawn. Although Shawn did dress Mark nice in black sequined tux and a tiny bow tie. Derek Hough is a bit boring with a tux and the pink tie open along each side of the lapel. I could go on, but I won’t. We’ve got dancing to judge.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani have the Argentine Tango this week. Melissa needs to become a maneater so they visit Terri Hatcher on Whisteria Lane (not sure if I spelled that right?). She is starting of with sharp movements and what appears to be a lift. Perhaps lifts are allowed in this dance - I dunno! I love the intricate leg work. She seems to be in the character here and another lift with splits. Niice! Another lift after lift and I must say I really digged this performance. It was sexy. Len thought it was fantastic with the intricate steps, the lifts were executed beautifully, but thought there was a tiny blunder. Bruno disagrees with Len stating this is the Revenge of the Maneater. He needs a drink after all that. Carre Ann thought it was the best Argentine Tango she’s seen and loved the lifts. Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from stingy ole Len for a 29 out of 30. Tony tells us that Melissa has bruised ribs and is a trooper. We would have never known she did that good!
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska have the waltz. She wants him to work on grace this week. They dance to “Open Arms.” And her furry coat comes off to reveal a pretty blue/purple/black gown and it really is gorgeous - great job Lawrence. They are gliding nicely, but during a move Lawrence puts his arm down on the ground and it looks like Edyta didn’t know what to do with that - so a misstep. It was still elegant and graceful though which is what they were striving for. Bruno thought he got the romance right, but he was clumsy in the turn and lost some balance - not terrible, but not brilliant. Carrie Ann saw more freedom in his movements and commented on her dress design. Len liked the tenderness, grace, elegance and he pointed out some missteps, but was overall shocked at how well he performed it though. Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30.
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough have the rumba and Derek mentions he needs to tone down Kims hotness. Derek is getting down to business and is really hard on himself with the choreography this week hoping to please everyone including Len. Kim is in character which works in this dance. She is being sexy and sultry, but not overdoing it. It was pretty sexy, but I would have liked to seen more movement as it seemed to be stuck in one place on the stage. It was ok! Carrie Ann thought it was understated and underwhelming, and she wants her to bring her best game forward. Len said be still my beating heart. He did agree with Carrie Ann though and don’t want them to please one person. Bruno thought it was a good rumba, but wanted more raunch (he pronounced it Roanch). Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 for a 26 out of 30.
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough are dancing the Samba. Chuck screams out in practice “All I want is a 9″ and it was so hilarious! They are doing basic Samba moves and really putting hips and flare into it. I think Len will be pleased. I really like him doing this dance! I think this might have been one of his best in my opinion! Len liked it a lot! Len thought it was his best dance to date - yep I thought so too. Bruno said he was working his butt and hips like he’s never seen before. Carrie Ann stands up and puts her arms up in the air waving them like she just don’t care. Chuck and Julianne are pleased as pie. I smell some 9’s and maybe some 10’s - we’ll see. Scores 3 9’s for a 27 out of 30. Chuck got his wish!
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are dancing the waltz. He is a little bit embarrassed because of the romantic aspect of it. His wife, Jewel, comes in to help things along. He is a bit awkward with Chelsie, but I’m sure he’ll do fine. He dedicated this waltz to his wifey. Looks like they are doing a lift here at the beginning - we’ll see if CA lets them get away with that. They have nice rise and fall and are gliding nicely. They are perfectly in-sync. I thought it was beautiful! Bruno thought it was a big comeback. Carrie Ann thought he was a beautiful frame for Chelsie and is glad he is back. Len thought the posture, hold, movement, rise and fall were all great. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas have the cha cha cha this week. Shawn has had a busy week and has to learn 2 dances. She will be learning the group dance by herself. Dang, that will be pressure packed for her. She is stressing out big time and Mark is too. They dance to Michael Jackson’s, “PYT” which explains Mark’s high water pants. This is fast and she is working her hips. They infuse Michael Jackson moves with cha cha moves and it realy works. Mark is always good with his cha cha chas. Wow, I loved this one. I hope they have the encore dance. It was fun, fast, cute, and hip. Carrie Ann loved and got so caught up in the technique - tonight she came alive and as she was showing that she almost fell off her chair. Len thought they blended the rythmn in really well and did a good job. Bruno thought she was flamboyant and vibrant. You can tell he loved it. Scores were 1 10 from Bruno and 2 9’s from the other two for a 28 out of 30. This is her first 10 ever.
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke are dancing the Viennese Waltz. Gilles is having issues with the softness of the dance. Cheryl gets him in the water with a synchronized swimmer and they dance in the pool. He seems to get it now because of how the water created resistance. Whatever, I think Cheryl wanted to get Gilles in a swimsuit and see his “stuff.” I’m not sure what this song is, but it sounds very Adam’s Family while trying to be beautiful at the same time. They look good together, have nice rise and fall, but I can still see the latin moves in him which are more sharp and less fluid. It was nice, but not great in my opinion. Len thought it had romance, lovely rotation, and it was overall superb. Bruno - liked it, but I didn’t understand a word he said. Whatever. Carrie Ann said he is the most graceful male dancer, but to watch his posture. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Group dance is next and it will be 70’s themed. I forgot we probably won’t have a couple’s encore dance because they will feature the group dance. Bummer. I wanted to see Mark and Shawn’s Cha Cha Cha again. Not sure why Kim and Derek have on huge sunglasses when they are getting interviewed for this dance. Weirdness. Ty comes into practice with long hair, headband, and ready to go to Woodstock. Embarrassing! The choreographer is going nuts and Gilles and Ty can’t keep up. Chuck was doing a good job of keeping up. Mark brought a cut-out of Shawn Johnson which was pretty fun. Apparently they won’t be dancing with their partners much in this which is good. Poor Lawrence is having issues and just doesn’t get it. He thinks everyone is acting like clowns. We get solos and the pros/stars have to come up with their own 60’s moves. Ty gets on top of Chelsie and rides her like a bull which was HILARIOUS. Chuck Wicks came up with Chuck Wheels which was a cartwheel. DUMB! I’m shocked they didn’t play up Ty’s injury. Maybe they will do that after the commercial break or not!
Here we go - group dance time. Can’t wait for this! It is in black and white. They are wearing gogo boots - the females anyway. Now as the guys come in we go to color. Ty and Lawrence can’t keep up with the fast moves. I loved their solos and Ty really did the bucking bull with Chelsie. Chuck really did the Chuckwheels and they put more in as well. Everything was soooo much fun. I LOVED IT!! Bruno thought it was fantastic fun. Carrie Ann thought the girls nailed it! Len didn’t want to pick out one person and loved the fun and energy - thought it was fantastic. I did too! I’m sure we will be seeing that again tomorrow night. I hope they have 2 encores - Shawn/Mark and the group dance. A girl can hope, can’t she? LOL!
Leaderboard
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani 29 out of 30
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas 28 out of 30
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough 27 out of 30
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke 27 out of 30
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough 26 out of 30
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower 24 out of 30
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska 21 out of 30
I think Lawrence Taylor and Lil’ Kim might be in trouble this week. I just don’t think Lil’ Kim was THAT good and Lawrence just isn’t that good. I think Ty did better and he did step it up, but who knows if it will be enough? I do think that Ty has a bigger fan base than either of the two and might pull through b/c lets face it - old ladies love Ty. Until tomorrow night…

We’re back to see who gets the ax tonight. Samantha looks lovely tonight with nice loose curls and a gorgeous purple gown. Smashing. She informs us that we have a jammed packed show tonight and we get started with the judges pick for the encore dance. We are treated to Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough doing their jive to “Jailhouse Rock” again. Now we get recaps…the backstage confessionals were all blah tonight. Nothing worth reporting. Kind of a downer if you ask me. Everyone is getting too serious for their own good.
We are seeing some of the cast from Revival: West Side Story doing “America”. They are doing the musical which I think is a bit much for Dancing with the Stars. Luckily I am on DVR so I am fast forwarding this. I normally like musicals, but not digging it tonight on this show. Maybe I’m the downer tonight? LOL!
Samantha is backstage with Lil’ Kim, Melissa, Ty, and Steve-O. Apparently next week is group dance week. Yayy - I love group dance. And, tonight we will not have a dance off. Why? I don’t know. Why have it some weeks and not have it others? Makes me feel like the dance off really doesn’t matter because the scores are already locked in. Whatever!
Now we are going to see 2 couples that are safe. They ask Lil’ Kim/Derek Hough and Lawrence Taylor/Edyta Sliwinska down to the middle of the stage. The rest remained on the steps which is another format change. Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough are safe and Derek’s hair is a little icky tonight. I don’t like the new cut! Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska are also safe. I was worried there. I hope Ty isn’t in the bottom 2 tonight, but I have a feeling he is.
Carmen Electra will be on tonight dancing. The choreographer is a former Pussycat Doll. Oh, joy! But before that we are treated to Rascal Flatts with “Goodbye.” Dancing to the song is Julianne Hough and Tony Dovolani. She is wearing a white flowing dress and no shoes. She comes out on his shoulders spinning. He is wearing a white silk shirt and black pants. Oh wow - he picks her up, she does the splits over his head and lands on her feet behind him. My mouth hit the floor. What a trick! I’m not sure how it didn’t kill her feet landing on the floor like that. The dance was full of tricks, lifts, and spins. The judges are on their feet. Julianne runs up on stage and gives Rascal Flatts high fives and Tony does the same.
Now we get a taped bit about costumes. Apparently the stars get to design the costumes this week as usually the professionals design them. And I take it the costumes are for next week dances. Whatever I didn’t get it.
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas as well as Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani are asked down to the middle of the stage. We’ll see if both of them are safe. Shawn and Mark are coming back next week as are Melissa and Tony. Tony looked scared to death.
Macy’s Dancers and Carmen Electra are dancing to a choreographed piece by a former Pussycat Doll who was in the audience, but I didn’t recognize. And who knew that Carmen was a dancer?? I didn’t..cept she does have those cardio strip teases out on DVD. My fiance goes “That looks like Carmen Electra” and I said, “It is.” He couldn’t believe it as he thinks she looks heavy. She did look a bit heavier in the mid-section, but her legs looked good. They danced to “Stuff Like That There.” Kind of glad that was over.
Rascal Flatts is back singing The Beatles hit “Revolution” and I hope they don’t butcher this song. I love this song and it is by my favorite group. And, they are making it super twangy sounding. Not good! There’s some dancers out there and I don’t know who they are. now Chelsie Hightower and Mark Ballas (who has a crazy bandana on and even crazier hair) are dancing. They are dancing as a four-some and then as couples. I hate when I don’t know who the other professionals are. I think one is Artem Chigvintsev from So you Think You Can Dance and Carrie Ann’s EX-boyfriend. I could be wrong though.
Now we’ve got a body language expert on talking about the stars body language and what it all means. Boring…yawn!
Next safe couple is: Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke. And one last safe couple is: Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough who almost fell to her feet. That leaves us with 2 bottom couples although it isn’t the TRUE bottom 2 of Steve-O/Lacey Schwimmer and Ty Murray/Chelsie Hightower. Leaving us tonight is Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer. I’m just glad Ty is safe! I think it was Steve-O’s time. And boy, behind Steve-O is tons of sequins sparkling all over the place. Tom told Steve-O that he has charmed this ball room and I thought that was nice of time.
No surprise tonight! It is getting down to the wire and Ty better step it up or he might be gone next week - same with Lawrence Taylor. Until next time…

We are at the halfway point and tonight we have jives and rumbas. I LOVE JIVES! Don’t you? Jives and Quicksteps are my faves. Can’t wait to see what everyone will do tonight. First impressions…
Derek Hough is drssed as Elvis - a blonde one. Lacey Schwimmer is looking hot as are Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough. Chelsie Hightower has the American flag on. Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas look super sexy tonight (as sexy as one can get as a 17 year old). Melissa looks the same as weeks past wearing some loud yellow. Ty Murray has his cowboy hat on and looks super cute…I’ll comment more about the outfits as we get going here.
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are up first dancing the jive. Chelsie is focusing on Ty not being so stiffy this week aka robotic. She brings in a hula hoop and a miniature trampoline so he can feel the bounce. The hoola hoop - not too sure on what that is for - oh I guess to loosen his hips although I didn’t think the jive had much hips in it, but we’ll see what they do. He is dancing with his hat on at least starting with it on. He does splits over her and now she is dancing around him. They do some country line dancing moves which is perfect for him and this song. He has some nice HIGH kicks. He gets a little off with the timing of the music, but got back on with Chelsie’s help. They do the Benji Schwimmer slide at the end and land it nicely. I really liked it. He seemed in his element. Len says he thinks Ty looks bewildered sometimes, likes how he gives his all, and it took awhile to get started - and once it did start it wasn’t that good. Bruno thought the line dancing was good then the jive started. He said he went after it like a wild animal and none of the kicks and flicks were right. Hmmm..what? Carrie Ann thought it was an exciting jive, but said she didn’t think he found his footing. By the way her hair is yuck - their are no bangs and she has it slicked back with a high wave on top. Gosh, I can’t describe it, but I don’t like it. Bring back the bangs I guess. Scores were all 6’s for a 18 out of 30.
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas have the sexy Rumba this week. She felt self conscious and embarrassed as I would too. Mark recreated her prom for her since she is missing it. Awww how cute is this! I’m not sure how much it will help, but I enjoyed watching it. She looks hot tonight with her hair and makeup. I’m not sure how the judges will feel, but I’ve got some goosebumps and yes, Carrie Ann, she kept her foot on the floor. They have short sexy moves where they pose and look all sexy. I liked it - it was hot! Crowd is on their feetsies. Bruno said it was so beautifully pure almost angelic and can see the hint of the devil - he tells her to work on the hip action. Carrie Ann thought this dance was difficult for her and can see the discomfort in her eyes at the beginning, but thought the second half was good. Len thought they got it just right - nice chemistry and he enjoyed the whole performance. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Carrie Ann for a 26 out of 30.
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska are jiving this week. I can’t wait to see the big guy do his flicks and kicks. He gets super irritated in practice and here comes Warren Sapp to cheer him up and give him a pep talk. He is going to “let it go” for Warren this week. Edyta has on hot pink as he does too. She looks kind of cute with these leg warmers and her front open. He is light on his feet, energetic and letting loose. His kicks look a bit controlled and I feel like he could even let more loose and really get in there and give the floor a beat down and did they just do a lift because it seems like it? Not sure if that is allowed in the jive or not. I’m sure Carrie Ann will tell us. Carrie Ann starts off saying he brought his groove back and she thought it was sooo enjoyable to watch - she did point out the lift. Len liked the basics and liked his lighter side of his personality and wants it to be lighter on his feet. Bruno thinks he should bring in Warren all the time and commented on his timing stating it was his best performance to date. Scores were 1 8 and 2 7’s from Carrie Ann and Len for a total of 22 out of 30.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani have the sexy rumba this week and it really looks from practice that this might be her week to get all 10’s. She is really putting on the sexy face. I am liking what I see in practice that is for sure..she tells us it will be hot. Can’t wait. They dance to “If I were a Boy.” It has lots of slow and quick movements alternated which is what the rumba is all about. My fiance keeps saying how hot she is so I think she is accomplishing what she wanted to. I really liked Shawn and Marks better though. Len thought it was clean and precise and had interesting choreography. Len wanted it more earthly meaning less ballatic. Bruno said she is so exotic and loves the shapes her body gets into - he wants to see Melissa, the maneater, in the future. Carrie Ann loved the emotional quality she brought, but to work on hip action. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough have the jive this week. They are probably doing it to an Elvis song because of Derek’s costume. I could be wrong though. It looks like Elvis in practice. If it is my mother will be sooooo happy. They go to a hoppin’ burger joint with classic cars to get Kim get into the jive vibe. Can’t wait for this!! She is showing LOTS O’ CLEAVAGE - I hope they don’t fall out when she does her kicks - ackk! They dance to “Jailhouse Rock.” Derek does the splits off the judges table - wow, they are spinning fast. Lil Kim is a cop in a sexy uniform and Derek is jailbate - cute. She gets off with the steps because it is just too darn fast, but quickly gets back on. It was high energy and fun and the crowd loved it, but she didn’t keep up with the timing or steps, but that wasn’t her fault - the choreography was too fast. The audience still loved it though cheering their faces off. Bruno says he’s guilty, arrest him, he’s guilty of love in the first degree. He thought they rocked! Carrie Ann stood up and screamed and lost some jewelry in the process. She screamed “Where’d my diamonds go?” LOL! She got her diamonds back. She thought Derek’s choreography was mind blowing. Len thought it was fun, had energy, and got carried away with the story of jailhouse rock (while Tom is getting in front of Lil’ Kim trying to hide her boobies - guess something did fall out). Len said it lacked a lot of jive and it was a tad theatrical. He didn’t consider it a ballroom jive and the audience boos. Scores were 2 10’s and an 8 from Len for a 28 out of 30. I’m sorry, but it wasn’t PERFECT - she got off on the steps and timing. Guess they didn’t see that due to the theatrics of it all. Oh well!
Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer have the rumba this week. This will be interesting to see Steve-O act sexy. LOL! Steve-O says this is the dance of love and intends to give the fans all the love he’s got. Lacey catches him picking his nose, itching his butt, and farting. Apparently the farts smell like mildew - ewww. She is wondering how she can fall in love with him when he is doing all these nasty things. Lacey brings in his dog and tells him to bring that softer side that he has with his dog to this dance. Um, we’ll see about that. Lacey is wearing sexy sleepwear (shorts, bra, robe) very pretty. His face isn’t so sexy here, but it will do i guess for Steve-O. They didn’t have much hips and she danced around him a lot. Hey look at that - wee man is in the audience and the crowd is standing - couldn’t tell that wee man was. LOL! Carrie Ann said there was something oddly mesmerizing about watching him dance. She was totally taken in - she loved his honesty and vulnerability. She loved the hand details and thought it was a long way from last week. Len said there was no hip action, footwork, and it was no good. Bruno said Lacey looked hot. Bruno liked his charm, but the dancing is bad. My fiance agrees that Lacey’s outfit is hot. Scores were 7 from Carrie Ann, 4 from Len, and a 5 from Bruno for a total 16 out of 30.
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke have the jive this week. He will need to let it out and have fun this week. He is looking a bit awkward and Cheryl is putting the smack down on him. She takes him to the soccer field and he kicks the ball and does jive moves which is pretty hilarious with his yellow tube socks all the way up to his knees. He is wearing all black with a nice vest showing his tan chest. He jumps off the stage and wow this dance is fast too like Derek’s. Derek has Cheryl’s number - he also does the Benji Schwimmer slide. Man, I couldn’t take my eyes off of them to even type. I didn’t want to. They were awesome!! Cheryl is pleased! Queen Latifah is on her feet and Cristian de la Fuente is in the audience as well clapping for his former partner, Cheryl. Len thought it showed a lot of the qualities needed for the jive: quick footwork, bounce and it was a pity that he went wrong on a few steps right in front of him. He also thought it was a little frantic. Bruno called it fast and furious and he likes how he puts 110% on everything he does, but to watch the speed b/c he is losing sharpness. Carrie Ann loves how he is showy and wants him to work on his shoulders/small hand movements. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a 26 out of 30.
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough will need to bring their romance to the dance floor tonight. This shouldn’t be too hard since they have a relationship. He doesn’t want to mess up b/c he doesn’t want the judges to think they don’t have chemistry. He is frustrated with her in practice because she is being aggressive and mean to him and he doesn’t like it. They go to the Santa Monica pier where they had their first date where they have a day of fun. They go on the ferris wheel where they had their first kiss and awwww..how sweet this all is. Now, let’s see what they’ve got. My fiance is loving her outfit which also looks like lingerie with black lace stockings. They do a lot of poses, but something is weird with his neck/chin. It reminds me of Jack Tripper from 3’s Company when he does that crazy face. I could feel the passion though and towards the end it was getting hot. I liked it. Bruno would like some more of that please. LMAO! And Carrie Ann does too who can’t contain herself. Bruno said he switched on the raunch factor and called them Mr. and Mrs. Wicks in reference to Mr. and Mrs. Smith (gag b/c it is Angelina and Brad), but I like the reference. Bruno said keep on in that same direction. Carrie Ann loved the passion and to work on technique like Bruno said - she thought it was very sexy. Len thought parts of that were more suited for the bedroom than the ballroom. He said he’s a problem b/c he is going from one extreme to the next and thought it was too raunchy and in his face. Len is driving me nuts tonight - he is always calling for more raunch and when it is given to him on a silver platter he doesn’t like it. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Len for a 23 out of 30.
Leaderboard
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough 28 out of 30
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani 27 out of 30
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas 26 out of 30
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke 26 out of 30
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough 23 out of 30
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska 22 out of 30
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower 18 out of 30
Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer 16 out of 30
Steve-O and Lawrence will be in trouble this week. I’m not sure how far Steve-O’s fans can take him anymore and tomorrow night his number might be up. It will all come down to fan base (who has more fans - Steve-O or Lawrence Taylor). I’ll get back to you on that.

Let’s get this show on the road, shall we? It looks like we have an encore dance tonight of Derek Hough and Lil’ Kim giving us their Viennese Waltz again. Good for them! We just get right into it - no judges comments just Samantha and Tom telling us about the encore dance. I think I liked it better last night at least then I had goosebumps. I must say that Samantha’s hair is much better tonight. It was severely teased and HIGH last night not to mention she was wearing a 1980’s style prom dress it looked like. Tonight she has on hot pink and does look a bit better.
Now, we are getting recaps with backstage confessionals. Steve-O said “finally, an improvement, but NOT THAT MUCH!” which made me laugh because of his facial expressions. Lacey laughed too. We see that Melissa ripped through her dress last night. I guess that was the missteps the judges were talking about. She didn’t fall though which was a good thing. She’s a trooper, that Melissa. Tonight the dance-off will return so that someone can dance for their life - or not since it seems like no matter how well the stars do in the dance-off it doesn’t really matter.
Dang right to business - first 2 safe couples are: Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas as well as Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough.
We are now graced with Etta James who is probably trying to save face after her Beyonce’ nastiness. No disrespect, Etta, but seriously that was rude. Anyways, her starting off the song gave me goosebumps. Her voice is really low now. Sharing the stage with Etta is Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his fiance Karina Smirnoff who are steaming up the dance floor. The audience and judges are on their feet and it isn’t for Etta, it is for Maksim and Karina. That was some hot stuff right there!
The next two safe couples are: Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke and Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer. Yayy! Boy does Edyta look a bit scared. Followed by 2 more couples: Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough as well as Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani. Tony looks EXTREMELY RELIEVED as he had to hunch over to catch his breath it looks like.
Now we get to see how the stars lives have changed. Gilles says it is horrible to get orders from a 23 year old and then you see him pretending to smack Cheryl’s ass as she is looking down. Funny! Steve-O misses his time with his dog. That bit was cute. Melissa can’t stop thinking about dancing. Chuck Wicks says he is now a dancer…and yada yada yada. Ugh!
Now we are treated to La Reve from Vegas. I was planning on seeing this show when we were there last month, but time ran out on us. I’m kind of glad I didn’t spend $100 to see it - I mean it is ok and I’m sure they do other theatrics as well….hmmm.
We are now seeing another live performance from Disney actor, Demi Lovato and dancing is Benji Schwimmer (Lacey’s bro) and some girl I don’t know. Benji won So You Think You Can Dance. Hmmm. Will Benji come to the dark side and become a pro on DWTS like his baby sis?
BTW, it looks like Carrie Ann is wearing Samantha’s dress from last night. Weird, but true!
The next safe couple is: Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower. That leaves us with the bottom two of David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson and Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. David looks PO’d. He has a hot temper as evidence by his Myspace blogs. I won’t be suprised if he goes.
Let the dance off begin! David and Kym are up first doing their Viennese Waltz. Looks like he was a bit mad throughout, but it seemed like he moved better tonight. Len said he enjoyed it last night and tonight as well. He thought he was more focused and had more expression tonight. It was a little bit better. Bruno agrees saying he works well under pressure and there was an edge in his performance tonight. Carrie Ann felt the connection tonight saying they were more together and more passion tonight. Backstage David said his evil plan from week one was to be in the dance-off in week 5 and his plan worked. LOL! Scores were all 8’s for a total of 24 out of 30. This score is a few points higher than last night.
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska have their Paso Doble again and get read for some weird music. ICK! I just don’t think this is his dance - he is way over thinking it tonight. It was just ok. Too bad he got sucky music. Thanks, but no thanks producers! Bruno said we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg with him. He wants him to follow the music and trust himself. Carrie Ann blames the music and liked how he stayed with it. She likes seeing his power. Len wrote on his piece of paper “difficult music” and commended him for keeping up with it. Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 for a total of 20 out of 30. Same score as last night.
Sooooo the moment we’ve all been waiting for sorta….leaving us tonight is David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson. I bet David is super PO’d. His face looks it even if he is trying to be funny - it doesn’t look like it. I’m not sad to see him go - his humor was weird sometimes. It does look like the stars and pros really like him as they do a group hug with him. That’s nice, I guess. See ya next week!

I can’t believe we are back again. You mean another week has gone by? Crazy! I’m just glad that I don’t have to sit through another one of Holly’s or Steve’s performances because frankly, that was getting old. This week we have Paso Doble’s and Viennese Waltz’s.
First impressions: Lil’ Kim looks like a princess in peach or is it pink? Edyta’s tummy is so tan she looks black. Steve-O looks like a mime. Julianne is pretty in pink. Ty Murray looks like a matador. Kym Johnson’s hair looks like it got caught in a 80’s crimp iron. Chuck Wicks looks cute in a tie and vest. Melissa Rycroft looks like a little Indian girl. Shawn Johnson is decked out in a flowing white gown with what appears to be feathers around her bossom. Gilles Marini is hot and Cheryl’s dress I am not too sure about.
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough have the Viennese Waltz. He will attempt to be at the top of the pack this week. We will see! Wow this is looking really good so far. He is putting it all out there. They did a nice swinging trick and she got up and walked out of it. Nice. Afterwards he got on one knee as if to propose. He looks a bit emotional about it all and I loved it. Len said he finally came out of hibernation. He pretended to be spankin’ it. Bruno says he is emerging from the shadows of beautiful Julianne. He told him to keep the confidence all the way through. Carrie Ann disagrees with them both (she has some BIG HAIR tonight too obviously affecting her brain cells). She questions a possible lift. She said Chuck lost his focus in the beginning. She is irritated to which Bruno said she is irritating to him. LOL! She has something against Chuck. She is the irritating one. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Big Haired Irritating Carrie Ann. Total score is 23 out of 30.
Dancing the Paso Doble is Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. He starts off with some cape theatrics. I do not like this song - there are no words and it makes it seem like the dance is a mess. I don’t know if I liked the choreography either. Bruno called him the prince of darkness, strong, and fierce. Bruno said it started off not good and loved the middle part where he got into it. Carrie Ann said he has a limited range of motion that holds him back. She commended him for working with that music and his intensity. Len said he was frightened and he liked the intensity, but said it was much better and his best dance so far. I guess I just didn’t get it - I just didn’t like it. Perhaps it was the music?? Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 from Carrie Ann for a 20 out of 30.
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas have the Viennese Waltz this week. She is going to work on technique this week. She is feeling clutzy and frustrated. She is flowing across the floor. The dress is perfect for this and the singer on this songer is doing an excellent job. She must be new. She just did a beautiful move where she spun and no Carrie Ann it was not a lift. They ended with a turn and Mark picked her up and carried her off stage. Very cute and good in my opinion. Tom said “the real question is if she is going to count that as a lift.” LOL! Carrie Ann said she loved it because it was simple. She is going to let the last lift go b/c it was an artistic ending. Len is pissy about the footwork where she needs to step forward on the heels to which the audience boos at him. Well Bruno likes it - he loved the musicality and simplicity. He pointed out her shoulders in how she needs to press them down, but overall beautiful. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a total of 26 out of 30. Will this put her on top of the leaderboard tonight or will Gilles steal that away?
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani have the Paso Doble tonight. Will she be able to keep up the 10 streak because you know Tony hasn’t seen a 10 in a long time he said. LOL! Melissa is having issues with being strong, intense and having a mean face. She dances to “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga which is a perfect song for this dance. Starting off good and powerful. Her turns are spot on and she kept up the character all throughout. She really looks like a pro out there although it could have been a little more fluid, but I blame the choreography for that. I still loved it. Len said it was a very difficult routine and she coped with it. He pointed out a few blunders to which he got booed again. Len said it lacked a bit of aggression that she was striving for. Bruno said she went for it in an extremely difficult routine. He called most of it very beautiful, but she made some mistakes. He thinks she looks stunning. Carrie Ann said the choreography is stunning. She said that Melissa seemed off balance and questioned a lift b/c she couldn’t get her footing. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from Bruno for a total of 25 out of 30.
David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson have the Viennese Waltz this week. David wants to be flawless and be considered a contender. I’m not sure that will happen. He has on a tux by the way with a red tie that looks a bit weird. He is simply flowing around the floor and it is a pretty fast pace. They end with him turning and Kym jumping onto his back with her leg out. Not too bad I must say - looked good to me. Bruno said the spell worked (they danced to “Put a Spell on Me”) and dogged them on the tricks they did. He said when it was classic it worked. Carrie Ann said she can tell this must be frustrating for him - she thinks there is a diconnect because both of them are not moving together in unison. Len said he loved the story of it all - he loved the performance and thought it was a difficult dance. Scores were 2 7’s and an 8 from Len for a total of 22 out of 30.
Gilles Marini and Chery Burke have the Paso Doble this week. I must say I am anxious to see this dance b/c it is Gilles and because Cheryl is known to choreograph good Paso dances. Remember the Thriller Dance she did with Drew Lachey. That dance will always stand out in my mind. Loved it. Gilles is excited about the Paso because he is into martial arts so Cheryl thought it would be best to go to a martial arts studio where Gilles practices being arrogant with his son to which his son said “You’re going down, Pa Pa!” Funny! I have a feeling he could be really good at this. Let’s see. Oh lordy, where is his shirt? It is gone! Cheryl puts it on - thank God or I think the old ladies might faint in the live audience. They dance to a song from Carmen. The footwork is so sharp and intense - the crowd loves it. The crowd won’t stop cheering. WOW! How intense was that - so GREAT! The crowd is on their feet and so are Bruno and Carrie Ann. I smell all 10’s. He is so handsome! I bet Cheryl is thrilled to have him as a partner. WOW! Carrie Ann said it was breathtaking that it almost brought her to tears. Carrie loves how they take it back to the core and essence of the dance. Len thought it was a tad hectic in places - he liked the passion, though. Bruno said he was going for the kill calling it more than a dance - pointing out the sexual tension - he nailed it. Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from stingy Len for a 29 out of 30.
Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer have the Mime this week errrr…the Viennese Waltz. I don’t get the Mime outfits when they have this dance. Wee Man and Johnny Knoxville, his Jackass co-stars, come for a visit. They say how proud they are of him. Wee Man and Steve-O dance the waltz and the audience was laughing. It was pretty cute. He is doing a mime and he is really good at that. He is doing his best to keep up, but he leaning forward in the hold. I think he did well here - doesn’t even look like the same Steve-O. Len said it was his best dance, but not to get too over excited. Bruno said his timing was on tonight, but still a lot of work to do. Carrie Ann said he brought a beautiful emotional quality and to work on his posture. Scores were all 6’s for a total of 18 out of 30 to which they are so happy about.
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower have the Paso Doble this week. This week might be Ty’s week since he is a bull fighter. He takes Chelsie to meet a real bull. They are sitting on the bull and Ty tells them to open up the cage and she screams no. LOL! He starts with cape capades as well. He has returned to being stiff and I’m not sure this is a good thing for him. They dance to Barracuda and I don’t think it was nearly as good as Gilles and Cheryl. It was just ok in my opinion. Bruno said it was robotic and metallic - too stiff. Carrie Ann says she agrees - where did her little dancer go. Len said this wasn’t his cup o’ tea, but thinking back to week 1 he has improved (not sure what Len said so I inputted my own word here). Scores were 7’s for a total of 21 out of 30.
Our final dance is Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough dancing the Viennese Waltz. Kim has a busy schedule which is cause for a stressful time. This is when Derek can turn into a little rip and he kind of does here, but has learned from the past not to push too hard. They dance to Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be”. They glide and turn effortlessly. I thought she had some great lines and such and she was elegant. Hey look at that - Bob Saget is in the audience. Carrie Ann said she was beaming the entire time. Carrie loves how they compliment each other. Len said it was lyrical and he liked the floaty quality of the whole dance. Len was focusing on the footwork and commented on leading with the heal and said he thought the dance lacked content. Bruno said he had a huge smile on his face because she made it look sexy and sassy and then he immitates her and it is so dramatic - he’s hilarious. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a total of 26 out of 30.
Leaderboard:
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke 29 out of 30
Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas 26 out of 30
Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough 26 out of 30
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani 25 out of 30
Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough 23 out of 30
David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson 22 out of 30
Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower 21 out of 30
Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska 20 out of 30
Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer 18 out of 30
I think Steve-O, Lawrence Taylor and David Alan Grier are in trouble this week. I hope Steve-O can stay in the competition - he adds the fun to me. BTW, Bob Saget was in the audience as a cross promotion since his show comes on ABC right after DWTS. GAGGG!

Who will leave us tonight? Hopefully Steve W. and Holly Madison. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I want to know when we are going to get our encore dances back. We have too much live entertainment to even have time to fit that in anymore. I don’t like that. I like knowing who the judges like the most. As I type, we are getting recaps and backstage confessionals. Lawrence says he doesn’t know what he needs to do to get a decent score, but he said that is life. Oh poor Steve W, just watching that again gives me goosebumps and it isn’t good goosebumps - it is creepy goosebumps. I can’t help but smile when I see Ty Murray’s face. I just love the little fella. Cheryl Burke said she has never had so much chemistry with somebody dancing on the floor. She said she didn’t see anyone else on the ballroom but him referring to Gilles. He then says Thank you, baby and kisses her cheek. Heck, even that was steamy! His wife better be cracking the whip down on that stuff.
We get Len telling us the encore dance and in the corner of my eye I see Gilles and Cheryl on stage. Yayy - the encore is back! I can’t wait to see this again. The crowd is hooping and hollering and it is steamy!! Wow just as good as the first time. The crowd AND judges are on their feet. I absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!! Now more recaps with confessionals.
First couples safe are: Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke, Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska (she looked shocked). The first couple in the bottom three is Holly Madison and Dmitry Chaplin (people in the audience are booing - hello? did you not watch last night?).
Boys 2 Men are going to perform. There used to be 4 boys who became men, but they seemed to have lost their bass, who was my favorite boy becoming a man. I can’t wait to hear them perform. I didn’t even know they were baaack on the scene.
Kevin Rudolph is performing “Let it Rock” while our pros perform. I do like this song and I had no idea that Kevin was a white guy. He isn’t too good live. Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, and Chelsie Hightower are performing. I can’t tell who the other 2 are (a male and female). It was a good performance. I just love it when our pros perform.
Next safe couple is Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas. Tom hopes he doesn’t come back in that outfit. LOL!
Next week we have the Viennese Waltz and our very own Louis Van Amstel is back dancing and he also choreographed what we are seeing. There are three couples all dressed the same. Ladies are in pink flowing dresses and men in suits. They are all dancing in unison. There is are chandeliers raising up and down and the lights going off. I see Jonathon Roberts also dancing, but I don’t know who else is dancing in this. Louis is obviously. I always love having Louis back on the show. I also see Anna Trebunskaya (I think this is how you spell it) from past seasons. She was partnered with Jerry Rice.
We now get a taped package of what the stars think about the double elimination. Looks like there is a lot of anxiety amongst all of them including the higher scorers. Anyways, another safe couple is (Gilles is absent and Tom makes fun like he is in the bathroom or something) Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough. Next couple in jeopardy is Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer.
Boys 2 Men are going to do a medley of their hits, but they are starting with an old Motown song so not sure I heard that right b/c the sound was messing up when Tom was talking. Cheryl Burke , Tony Dovolani, Dmitry Chaplin and Kym Johnson are dancing. They are singing Motown hits and it sounds good. Ok, now they are singing their own songs. So they are doing both Motown and their own in case you were wondering. Honestly I don’t know how these pros can learn all these dances. Cheryl had her routine with Gilles, then she did this routine - not sure how she can keep up. I guess it is her profession - but I give them all props.
Next saved couple is: Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough. Also coming back is Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani who look extremely relieved. We go to commercial and come back to more filler stuff. This time the filler is about strategy of the stars. Steve W talk about the scoring and they explain it. The judges scores turn into a percentage and when you add up all the stars scores it equals 100%. Now we are told how we can vote. Didn’t know this was a lesson on scoring. Gilles says he answers all his fan mail. We see Karina voting for her and Steve W. Ty Murray also voted for himself on his cell phone.
Now everything is revealed - who is safe and who is in the bottom 3. Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are safe as is David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson. Steve Wozniak and Karina Smirnoff are FINALLy in the bottom 3. There is no dance-off tonight we are just gonna kick em out the door. Leaving us tonight are Holly Madison and Dmitry Chaplin as well as Steve Wozniak and Karina Smirnoff. That means Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer are safe for one more week.
Not suprised - those 2 should have went and I wish I could say I’m sad to see them go, but I’m truly not. Now, Steve-O and Lacey need to step it up next week. They can do it.
