Wayne Newton Appears on Jimmy Kimmel

He was sporting his pony tail and moustache that he wore during the tango too. UGH! Just kidding! Jimmy said he was shocked that he was voted off and that he thought people were rallying around him and Wayne interrupted and said “I’m not sure you get voted off. What happens is you don’t get voted on.” He laughs at his own joke. He keeps looking at former guest Sarah Silverman to see if she is laughing. I’m not liking the past guests sitting there at all. Oh Lord, Jimmy just asked Wayne about the ponytail and why he wasn’t sportin’ it anymore. Wayne’s response was “What’s strange about that is critiques make my hair grow. So, after the three judges I had a ponytail. About the time I came here, I knew I was coming into friendly waters, it disappeared.” No one laughs. Frankly, I don’t get it. Wayne looks at Sarah and laughs. Only when Wayne looks at Sarah and laughs does the crowd laugh. Sarah looks at the crowd and says “What? I’m not laughing or doing anything. I’m just sitting here.” Yep, this is some fantastic TV folks. If you like dry humor, Wayne is right up your alley.

They then show a clip doing his Viva Las Vegas dance. He laughs. Jimmy asks him if he blames his partner. He said she was the sweetest, most incredible professional, a wonderful teacher and the friendship they formed will carry on. How sweet. Guess he didn’t see the side of Cheryl that Drew or Emmitt saw. That’s because she whipped them into shape and well, that won the competition.

Again Wayne looks at Sarah and the crowd starts laughing. She points that out again and everyone laughs. Ugh. Boring.

Jimmy talks about Wayne’s fake knee and asks him how he can compete.  Wayne states that everyone really stepped up and he has no ill will towards any of the contestants. Jimmy thinks it was ridiculous that Wayne didn’t outlast Mark Cuban. LOL! Right on Jimmy.  Wayne said he has nothing but good thoughts about being on the show. Jimmy wraps up the interview, the crowd claps..and thank God this uncomfortable interview was over. Dry as Dry can be. Keep your day job, Wayne, you have proven you are not a dancer nor a comedian.
