Dancing with the Stars: The Finals
Posted By: admin On: November 25, 2009 Comments: ( 0 )
Ok so I am a day behind - got a little wrapped up in something last night so I couldn’t blog. So….here it is a night later. All I know is - Kelly ALL THE WAY!!! BTW, the couples have three dances tonght..woohoo!
First impressions: Gag and Kym are pretty shiny in gray/silvery sequins. Mya and Dmitry are in sultry black - her showing tummy and Kelly and Louis are also in black - less risque with him in a tux her in sequins.
Starting us tonight is Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel. We get to see her journey from start to finish. We see her first dance with her commentary. Carrie Ann went into their rehearsal to give them pointers. CA is helping her with the passion with Louis. They are dancing the Argentine Tango which is full of passion…we shall see. So far so good on the passion. I think her footwork could be sharper, but I still like it. I thought it had lots of passion…some of the footwork was a little sloppy, but it was a lot of fun! Len said she is what this competition is about - loved her hard work to get them to the finals. He thought this dance was right up there. Bruno can’t believe her journey - however at times her free hand was a bit loose, but still very good. Carrie Ann said she was so proud of her with the emotional connection she had with Louis. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Bruno for a total of 26 out of 30.
Mya and Dmitry have the Paso Doble this week. Now Mya’s journey….Len comes in to give them some tips. Len wants them to be BIG - with attitude. They dance to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” Love the stomps and force behind it. She looks like she is doing something weird with her neck at times…but very good Paso. I also think Dmitry looks weird with the “black shoepolish” under his eyes. Bruno loves the power and the beauty of the Paso. Carrie Ann called her the queen of the Paso Doble - very hot and dynamic. Len loved it saying it was right up there with his fave Paso (Mel B. and Maks). Scores were all 10’s for a 30 out of 30.
Donny Gag Osmond and Kym Johnson are pulling up the rear dancing the Cha Cha Cha. I fast forwarded it through his “journey” b/c I don’t really care. Bruno comes in to help telling him he knows he can win it. WHATEVER! Don’t give him a bigger head. His leg swing over her head was a little bent for my taste. He is too much of a twinkle toes which I don’t like. It also looks like he is just out there dancing for himself and Kym is a prop. I think there should be a connection. That’s my opinion though. Of course Mrs. Gag aka Marie is up screaming all crazy like. Carrie Ann asked where his hips came from. She loved the energy but pointed out the misfortune of a hand missed or something. Len said Ding Dong Donny that was a cha cha cha..he thought Bruno worked some magic. Bruno gave us more gag moments about how professional he was in practice….whatev! Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Our Megamix is up and Nick Kosovich who was a pro in one of the seasons is the choreographer. They are dancing the Samba, Jive, and Viennese Waltz thus called the Megamix. Kelly is freaking out b/c he is going so fast in teaching them the steps. She is the only one that doesn’t have formal training. Nick gives her a pep talk which hopefully will help. Kym slams Gag in practice stating Mya and Kym would be his daughters. haha! True dat! Funny that showing belly is Kym and Mya but Kelly isn’t. They start with the Viennese Waltz and no one is in sync. Next they have Samba and this is a little more together. It is hard to watch all three of them and compare. You can only watch one at a time. Jive is next and Kelly is lagging behind on this. I thought this Megamix was a bit crazy and hard to watch…just my opinion though. Len thought it would be so easy to judge and thought it was very difficult showing how close they all were. Bruno pointed out Mya being the best in Samba..Kelly good in waltz…and he thought Don was one of the pro boys. Whatever, Brun’. Carrie Ann agrees with them both and she was impressed with Don keeping up. Gag me on all the DON TALK! Seriously - what is up with all this madness? Third place with 26 points: Kelly/Louis. Don and Kym in 2nd place with 28 points. Mya and Dmitry with 30 points rank 1st.
Past champions are back talking about what it takes to win. Brooke Burke - Helio Castroneves, and Drew Lachey. They talk about the freestyle dance and how important it is.
Up first in the freestyle round is Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel. They are dancing to “I will survive.” She is having foot problems with her toes. She starts in a hoodie that is super long and Satin. She is gonna rip that off b/c it is so long. Louis rips it off. She losing her timing and one of their tricks was a bit of a mess. Oops. Their last trick was NOT that great either. I think it was a bit daunting for her although she looked like she had fun. Bruno said she’s never looked more beautiful than tonight…and sometimes people fall on the floor. Carrie Ann wanted us to see she was a survivor - and she saw that tonight. Len loved her smiling and singing through it. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30. Backstage Kelly was still laughing stating that in one of the lifts it looked like Louis pooped her out. haha! Grand total for the night 76 out of 90.
Mya and Dmitry are up wth their freestyle. I don’t know style this is - jazz I’m guessing. This is fast and fun but I think they could have done so much more with their freestyle. Carrie Ann said high energy, fun, but not outstanding to her. She said they are competing with Hairspray and it didn’t showcase Mya. Len said it is clear she is a great dancer but said he was expecting something to happen and it didn’t happen. Bruno said she had the beat all the way through…but he was expecting something more spectacular. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30. Grand total for the night 87 out of 90.
Last up in the freestyle is Gag-o-Maggot, Donny Osmond. They are doing broadway. Greaaattt! Lots of dramatic faces, leaps, and over the top performance. Len thought that was truly an absolute show stopper. Bruno said Mr. Show Business at his best. Carrie Ann said welcome to the hall of fame of freestyles. GAG! Scores were all 10’s for a 30 out of 30. Grand total for the night is 85 out of 90.
All votes for Kelly. I know it is too late but man, I do not want Gag to win. Please NOOOO!
Dancing with the Stars Week 9: The Semi-Finals
Posted By: admin On: November 17, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
Next week is the finale. Can you believe that? We’ve got 4 couples left and gag is one of them. If you don’t like Gag aka Donny Osmond, I urge you to call in and vote online for anyone other than Gag. I have never done such a campaign like this but I have never felt so strongly about someone NOT winning then I do about him. Well, perhaps I felt it for his sister, Marie as well, but who remembers that? Samantha is wearing purple and it is a little bit too gathered. Tune in and see what I mean.
First impressions: Donny Gag is in gold shimmery type suit. Mya looks awesome in a white gown as does Joanna Krupa who looks like Barbie. Kelly Osbourne looks great too in pink. I assume ballroom is up first based on the outfits. Tonight according to Samantha - they have to perform 3 routines. WOW!
Up first is Gag Osmond dancing the Tango. Gilles Marini came in to give Don some pointers. When did Gilles become a dance expert? I know he is an expert on sex appeal, but on the Tango? Yeah he got 10’s but..whatever. Gilles one tip is to make everyone else uncomfortable is what Don is gonna stick with. I don’t get it. Wow the steps are getting murky and it looks like they are tripping over each others feet. I can’t tell if it is Kym or Don. haha! That’s how NOT good it is. Also they are dancing to “Black and Gold” which would explain the outfits. They ended with a twist move that showed Kym’s cleavage. She hugged him really tight and said some things in his ear… He goes over to Tom and sits down on the floor. Tom states “We have another Osmond down.” I’m not sure if he is just upset over how bad it was or if he is feeling sick. I’m sure we will find out. I think is he just upset..yeah he is. Len said the sadness of it is that his other tango was so great - Len wondered if it was Kym’s dress. He said no. Len called it a catastrophe. Bruno said he completely lost it, but tonight he didn’t cover it up. hahaha! I just have to laugh. Carrie Ann said there was no drama happening..she said they handled the costume misfortune as best as they could and Don said they were making stuff up right and left. Well well well - he might just be gone after this. A girl can only hope. Oh and Kym did get stuck in her dress and it is all torn. Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30.
Second to perform is Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough dancing the Viennese Waltz . I think Derek needs a haircut btw. Too long and messy on top. He is having issues with getting on Joanna even kicking the radio. Temper! Brooke Burke came in to give Joanna pointers on how to deal with the stress and how mean Derek is. They ganged up on him which was great. They start on top of the stage and one of her turns wasn’t too great and off balance, but it is starting out pretty beautiful. Let’s hope they keep this momentum. I think she looks stunning in baby blue. They are gliding quite nicely cross the floor. I think she could work on her turns though. Does this give me goosebumps? No. It was pretty to watch though. Bruno thought it had grace, but something was missing (he said something else but I didn’t get it.). Carrie Ann said she took her breath away, but to work on why she is reaching. Len thought the hold was as good as any professional, he loved the choreography, her flicked wrist is a bit funny, but overall it was a beautiful dance. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Tom tells us that Melissa Rycroft returns to dance with Tony Dovolani tomorrow night. YAYY!
Our first Latin routine is up now..and they are required to do a solo. Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel are dancing the Rumba. She seems confident in practice and I hope she brings that tonight. I have goosebumps at the beginning of this. It is very sexy, slow but some quick movements. Her solo is a lot of posing. She looked a big uncomfy but who wouldn’t. They end with a no handed stretch that was just great! I thought she did excellent. Her Mama was jumping up and down and thought so too. I have tears right now..ahhh! Carrie Ann said she brought her to tears. Yeah me too! Carrie Ann said she reached right into her heart and made her love her. Len can’t be as airy fairy as CA, but he must say that she’s turned into a very competent dancer, but doesn’t think it was one of her best. Bruno said she needs to push her hips to the extreme and commended her for pushing the limits on some of the movements. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Mya and Dmitry are up last in this round. Tonight they are dancing the waltz . She brings in a white board to step up the game as it contains some rules which are… If you are late, pay up. Mistakes cost 5 push-ups. Breaks are 10 min only. Rule #4 is listen to Dmitry. Hmmm…. Interesting rules. Apparently they sleep in the studio too - they pitched a tent. NO KIDDING! haha! She does this move where she lays down from a standing position and he catches her head. It was so gorgeous. Their spins are fast and beautiful. Her head is in a laid back position. Her balance is great in a one footed spin. I thought this was wonderful. Loved it. Len loved it - romance, elegance, movement, total control and it was an absolute joy. Bruno said it was love set to music - defying gravity. Carrie Ann loved it too BUT she has the potential to get all 10’s, but there were times that they weren’t connected in their holds. Scores were 2 9’s and a 10 from Bruno for a 28 out of 30.
Dancing the Samba is Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson. He is shaking his booty and we get a close up shot. Gag. Luckily Kym has on a short number so we can’t blame the wardrobe for a crappy job. He is light on his feet and is now doing his solo. He did pretty good in his solo - not holding anything back. I thought it was pretty good. All 10’s? Nope. Looks like he had fun though - and he thinks he nailed it being so over - dramatic here. ahh! Bruno said a stumble doesn’t stop a pro from coming back and nailing it. Carrie Ann said it was better than the last one, but it felt a little sloppy for you, Donny. She thought he was dancing a little small for him. Len agrees with Bruno not Carrie Ann - he thought he came out strong and determined. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from CA for a total of 26 out of 30. Grand total 47 out of 60.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are dancing the cha cha cha. She starts her solo on the stage acting all sexy. She is wearing a bra top in red and fringe pants. I think this is pretty sexy. Lot of tricks at the end which was pretty good. Carrie Ann loved it - said she has come a long way. Len thought it was clean, crisp, could have been more cheeky though. Bruno said she is just natural sex just oozing from everywhere. He is amazed out how well she’s done over the course of this competition. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30. Grand total 54 out of 60.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the quickstep now. She’s in yellow and flowers. So far so good - great footwork and movement. They did mess up running towards the stairs she got a little ahead of Louis. I liked how they went up on the stage and then went down them again. They ended with a crazy trick and it looked like he was gonna drop her, but he didn’t. The crowd is on their feet and love it. I’m sure the judges will point out the messed up footwork though and the scores will reflect that. Len said her Mom and him are very proud. He said it was beyond his expectations. Bruno said go Kelly go - light, but she lost one step, but he liked it. Carrie Ann said Go Get Em Kelly Osbourne - she thought she nailed it, but pointed out the one little stumble but called it fabulous. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30. Grand total 51 out of 60.
Last up in this round is Mya and Dmitry dancing the Salsa. She starts by unbuttoning Dmitry’s shirt all the way. I’m sure that was his idea. haha! Wow so much action that i can’t take my eyes off them. Her solo was great - he sat on the steps watching her. It was cute. WOW that was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was hot and sexy and full of action. Bruno said it was sensational. Carrie Ann said it was hot beyond belief and the solo was slamming. Len said tutti fruity what a booty. He was mesmerized by her booty I guess. He thinks she deserves to be in the finale. Scores were all 10’s for a total of 30 out of 30. Grand total 58 out of 60.
The third round they are going to dance their dance-off dance meaning if they were in the bottom 2 this would have been the dance they would have done.
Donny and Kym have the jitterbug. They are decked out in green sequins. A little distracting for my tastes. Here’s Gags last attempt. This is right up his alley - Mr. Performance Pants. Whatev. Marie is on her feet, but no one else is. haha! Carrie Ann said he got his mojo back. Len said 2 out of 3 isn’t bad b/c this was another winner. Bruno liked it too. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30.
Joanna and Derek dancing the Salsa. She is in hot pink. They are cute together. Lots of fun in a short amount of time. Len said it was hot tasty and full of spice. Bruno called it delicious and flirtatious. Len told Bruno to calm down. haha! Carrie Ann loves how they generate heat. She would love to see her in the finals. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel are now dancing the Cha Cha Cha. She is in hot pink too and black. Looks very cute. That was short and sweet. She looks so confident now. Bruno said it worked for him - good feet precision and timing great - and how she finished her moves. Carrie Ann said she had a great night. Len said she’s danced all three dances to a very high level. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Last up is Mya and Dmitry dancing the Cha Cha Cha. She is rockin’ this. He pulls her skirt off to reveal some undies that have fringe on them. She does the splits and he flips over her to finish the routine. WOW! Carrie Ann did not like the beginning, but liked the other stuff. Len says Bruno shouts a lot and it gets on his nerves. haha! Len was disappointed b/c he wanted it to go on longer. Bruno thought it was an action packed trailer for a blockbuster and he wanted it to go on longer too. Scores were 1 10’s and a 9 from Carrie Ann for a total of 29 out of 30.
So, let’s pool all of our votes to everyone BUT Donny. Sound like a plan, Stan? I am hoping and praying that Don is NOT in the finals. Pretty please with a cherry on top.
Dancing with the Stars Week 8
Posted By: admin On: November 10, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
So we just have 5 couples left. And I think I read today that the finale is in 2 weeks. WHAT? It is gonna be over before we know it. All I know is Gag better get kicked off and quick! I just don’t want him to win. For those who have NOT been following my blog (shame on you) Gag is aka Donny Osmond. First glance of Samantha reminded me of Wonderwoman. She is in a red dress which is nice but has on a shiny gold belt - thus the Wonderwoman reference.
First impressions: Aaron looking like another plastic Ken doll with his hair slicked to the side walks with a beautiful Karina. She is showing off her nice tummy. Even though I really can’t stand her personality and voice…she is gorgeous. I just don’t like how far up his lapel (? I think that is what it is called) is. It looks like it is just too damn tall for his little neck. Kym Johnson comes down the steps knockers first in a pink number - Donny in a suit with matching tie. Maya in in peach and Dmitry in striped suit with matching tie. See, his shirt lapel isn’t up as high as Ken’s. Joanna Krupa looks stunning in a beige rhinestone number with white gloves. Derek in a white short jacketed tux. Kelly Osbourne is in mint green and Louis suit with matching tie. There’s our 5 couples. Guess we are gonna have ballroom round first based on the way they are dressed. They will be performing 2 dances tonight.
Len is telling us exactly what I thought was going to happen - the ballroom round. He wants Gag to work on his posture in Viennese Waltz. Joanna needs to work on balance in her quickstep. They want Kelly to grow or go - that mediocrity isn’t enough. The judges want Maya to just dance - no gimmicks. Aaron needs to be less of a wild child.
Dancing the Quickstep, Maya and Dmitry Chaplin are up first. Her posture is great. Footwork looks good to me too. I think Len will like this - never broke hold until the end which is allowed. Great job they did!! Len thought is disappointed tonight b/c he couldn’t find anything to criticize. Does that mean she gets a 10? Bruno thought it was quality. Carrie Ann said she made it look so perfect and easy. Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from CA. Not sure what CA was thinking with that 9. Total score 29 out of 30.
Karina is sick with a fever so they have to wear face masks so Aaron doesn’t get sick. She said that he won’t dance with anyone but her - over her dead body. So she is gonna hang in there after the Lacey debacle last week. They are dancing the foxtrot. Oh and she is wearing pants a very cute outfit - skimpy, but what is new for her? I’m not sure what to say about this. I thought it was ok. Nice rise and fall. Bruno can see how much work went into it, but he felt it was a little bit tense - no ease of flow. I agree with that completely. Carrie Ann said someone’s foot came off the floor, but said they lost fluidity. Len said it was like watching his son in a toy shop. Len is proud of him no matter what happens. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Carrie Ann for a total of 23 out of 30.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough have the Quickstep this week. They watch videos of Maya to try to beat her since they are both doing the same ballroom dance this week. They start in the audience and run it down to the stage. They break hold at the beginning. Her face looks good, but not sure if she is comfy with this dance. Her turns are good, but she looks unsure at times. It seemed very entertaining though which I liked. Carrie Ann said she had a few out of sync moments, but loved all the content. She said her frame was great, but he toe points were an eye sore. Len said there was a lot of running about, lacked body contact, and this was not the standard for the quarter finals. Bruno said it looked like she was running away from the scene of a crime - saying there was a lot of issues downstairs. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Len for a total of 23 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the foxtrot this week. She gets very distracted in practice so they have to lock up her distractions in a box. haha! I think ballroom is her thing b/c she looks great already. It is gliding very nicely and they are so light on their feet. She is singing along and looks so confident and comfy. Wow - I loved this!! He hugged her tight and I think they think they did great. I do too! Len thought her posture was good, routine good, but footwork distraction but the rest of her was lovely. Bruno said she was weightless - commended her on keeping her focus. Carrie Ann said her secret weapon is her breakthroughs that she keeps having that makes the audience scream for her. She needs to work on her spots and range of motion though. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from Bruno for a 25 out of 30.
Gag and Kym Johnson are up last in the ballroom round. I can hardly wait. Apparently he had problems this week. Well, what’s new?? They have the Viennese Waltz and he is wahhhhh’ing over not having time and not having fun anymore. Boo hoo, Gag, Boohoo! He is starting over now. So far so good. Nice gliding and spins. Ok, it was good. Ok - will admit it, but I wish it wasn’t him doing good like that. UGH! Bruno said he really played it like a lifetime movie. Carrie Ann thought it was mesmerizing. Len said posture improved but it was a bit too arty farty. Bruno asked “what’s wrong with farty?” haha! Scores are 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a 26 out of 30.
ooh yay - dance center will be on tomorrow night. They are giving us a sneak peak right now and I love it already!!
Now we are seeing our pros dance some Latin for us. I see Mark Ballas, Tony Dovolani but not sure of the others. There is another guy with some wild hair and the girls I do not recognize.
For the latin round - they will each have to do a latin dance - duh! Plus they have to tailor it to a specific era. They do not want Don to make mistakes. They want Maya to prove to them that she really wants to win. They want Joanna to just deliver. Bruno wants Kelly to just let go and nail it. Aaron needs to bounce, shake what his mama give him, and work it fast. Len is sooo excited as the possibilities of the latin round. Woohoo!
Maya and Dmitry have a 70’s Samba. Dmitry is wearing a fake ’stache. They are going to incorporate 70’s moves into their Samba. Poor Dmitry is having a Samba block this week. Poor guy! She is in hot pink pants and he is wearing red with a pink/red silk shirt. haha! This is awesome - I love the era theme added in. I thought they did awesome. Very entertaining and cute! Carrie Ann believes she wants to win - calling it incredible! Len said she is on fire - her hips were hypnotic - she thought both dances were of the highest standards with no gimmicks. Bruno called her unbelievable. Scores were all 10’s for a perfect 30 out of 30.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff have a 90’s Samba. He was 3 in the 90’s. haha! He thinks it is perfect b/c he grew up then. He is showing her boy band stuff and she thinks he is going way overboard. She is getting embarrassed by the rodeo move. haha! He slides across the floor and does a one handed trick with his legs up in the air. They are wearing black and gold. She is wearing black leg warmers which were 80’s style, Karina, not 90’s. I only saw 90’s moves at the end of the dance. It wasn’t as good as Maya’s dance, but it will do. It was still fun. Len said it was tough after following Maya - he came out and performed it and sold it. Bruno said all his energy has finally made good. Carrie Ann said he is truly a great performer now. Scores are all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30. Apparently towards the end Aaron almost threw up. Hmmm…I didn’t see that.
Dancing the futuristic Paso Doble is Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough. They are going to be robots and look the part. Lots of strobe lights and glowing costumes. haha! They are very in-sync with this. I am enjoying it. I love how he incorporated Paso moves into this futuristic dance. Crazy but didn’t think it would work. They ended by their robots shutting off. I wished they would have danced to Mr. Roboto. haha! Bruno called Derek a genius and absolutely loved it. Carrie Ann said it was outstanding execution - she said Joanna did not miss a step. Carrie Ann pointed out one missed step though. Len said Bruno took his word “genius” haha! Len didn’t know how Derek was gonna do this, but he loved the content as well. He called it fantastic. Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from nitpicky Carrie Ann for a total of 29 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have a 60’s jive. She has a green wig on and he steals a doll from her. He is wearing a wig. haha! She looks timid in her kicks and her moves weren’t big enough, but it was sure fun to watch. She ended up on Bruno’s lap, with the doll, sucking her thumb and sticking her tongue out at Louis. Len said she has been an inspiration to him - as she has come in week after week stronger and stronger. Bruno said come back to daddy - she went and sat up on his lap again. He wants her to go for it even more. Carrie Ann said one of her best performance - it was exciting, but there were just a few issues, the doll lasted a little too long, but a few little missteps. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Carrie Ann for a 26 out of 30.
Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson have an 80’s Paso Doble. They look ridiculous in their costumes. Donny wants to wear a mullet b/c that s what he had in real life back then. UGH! They dance to “Spin me Round.” I love this song. Kym looks like Madonna. Donny looks like a white Michael Jackson. I just don’t think he looks like a leading man in this. The movement isn’t strong enough or rough for a Paso, but I do love the music. Len said it was the most crazy, bazaar, scary Paso he’s ever seen, but he liked it. Bruno said no one could ever top this saying he was doing Marie and she was doing him - like impersonating. Carrie Ann thought it was hysterical b/c she loved that era but that they dropped off the edge calling it insane. I agree. Scores were all 8’s for a total of 24 out of 30.
So I really liked everyone but Donny tonight. What about you?
Dancing with the Star Week 7
Posted By: admin On: November 3, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
I was just watching ET before this and they told us that GAG will not be wearing a shirt. I can hardly wait to see that..NOT! Apparently Lacey is now sick according to the previews and the couples have 2 dances tonight. There are dancers out on the floor - not sure what we will begin with. Our pros are starting us off to show us how teamwork should work. Apparently the second dance will be a team dance of Tango or Paso Doble. Jonathon Roberts, Chelsie Hightower, Edyta Sliwinska, Alec Mazo and I cant tell who else - to much spinning. Just gonna watch the show.
First impressions… Aaron Carter looks like a plastic Ken doll, Mark Dacascos is paired with Anna Trebunskaya instead of a sick Lacey, Donnie is in gray velvet suit. Michael Irvin is in pink again. Kelly Osbourne is in electric blue fringe. Maya is in pink silk. Tom tells us that the stars designed the costumes this week. They didn’t do too bad.
Up first is Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova dancing the foxtrot. He looks smooth but a little on the stiff side. He has a huge smile on his face which is nice, but I didn’t really think it was anything spectacular and I didn’t care for the music either. Tom seems to like it. We shall see if the judges do. Michael said he loved it - it was fun. Len is glad he hung around b/c he really liked his Foxtrot. Bruno said his musicality has improved, but watch the bum that sticks out. Carrie Ann called him incredible, fluid, loved the dynamics, and the costume. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 23 out of 30.
Donny Gag Osmond and Kym Johnson have the Quickstep tonight. He is having posture issues so Kym goes and gets the posture bar. haha - wear it, Don, and LOVE IT! They start on stage on the steps. He seems like he is a bit ahead of the music, but maybe not. I could be wrong. I think I must be in a bad mood tonight, but I am just not enjoying this. Oh, but it could be because I am watching Don. I don’t know. Bruno loved the performance b/c he covered up all the mistakes. Carrie Ann thought it was pretty good, footwork light, and he went wrong about 4-5 times. Len said it was a full on quickstep, full of attack and drive. He loved how he went for it. I think Bruno has turned into Len…I think. Oh and the series premier of V is coming on tomorrow - CAN’T WAIT! I watched that in the 80’s and loved it. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Mark Dacascos and Anna Trebunskaya (filling in for a sick Lacey) have the Samba. He had to learn it within 48 hours. It looked like he was just throwing things in here and there and couldn’t keep up. Looked like a modge podge of steps at times. I am not surprised considering he worked with Lacey, then Tony Dovolani, then Anna. Carrie Ann said she has compassion b/c of having a rough week, but said it was a mess. Len said he doesn’t agree to the extent of what CA was saying - stating it wasn’t terrible. Bruno doesn’t know what he was throwing in there amongst other things. I tuned out. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 from Len for a 19 out of 30.
Dancing the foxtrot is Maya and Dmitry Chaplin. Cloris Leachman comes in to help. Haha! She actually gave some good words of advice. This is very high speed and fluid. She did a nice trick between his legs which I liked. I thought they did great - should get some high scores I think. Len liked the parts that were in hold - he didn’t like all the gimmicks. Bruno said this perfectly captured the Hollywood golden age. Carrie Ann said Len is smoking crack - she is frustrated with Len. haha! Carrie Ann loves the look, the costume, she loved the dance - footwork, grace, etc. Scores were 2 9’s and a 7 from Len for a 25 out of 30.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff have the jive this week. He is having issues in practice because it is going to be extremely quick. We love quick jives. They go and train with this guy at the gym who makes him do all kinds of crazy, fast footwork. We’ll see if it helps. I would like to see more flicks not just kicking. He is keeping up though with the music. I just thought his kicks looked a bit weird..high but weird. Bruno said he kicked fast and had unstoppable momentum. Carrie Ann said it was like a little roadrunner…she thought it was excellent. Len said the energy was enough to light up Hollywood, wild but clean, fast but control, fun but not slapstick. Len was tempted to dust off his 10 paddle…hmmmm. Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from Carrie Ann for a total of 29 out for 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the Salsa this week. She is having a meltdown in practice. Louis changed his approach and she is having issues with it. He is just being more tough with her although I didn’t see it. Louis started out with fringe pants and then ripped them off to reveal black ones. Wow - this was fun and entertaining. I loved the last trick too - ended perfectly. Carrie Ann gave Kelly a high five and called it brilliant and she was unafraid of the dance. Len stands up and thought her nerves were controlled and said all aspects of her dancing need to come up a notch. Bruno stands up on the judges table and shakes his booty all over the place. He wraps Louis’ pants around his neck. haha! He loved how she got into the character. Kelly thanked them for calling her beige. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are up next and they have the Rumba. Derek takes her to the beach and they frolic around and look like they are gonna kiss. Hmmm..he did this exact same thing with his now ex-girlfriend Shannon Elizabeth. Interesting… Oh this is all in Derek’s mind the whole beach scene. haha! Derek ends his fantasy with kissing the mirror b/c he thought he was kissing Joanna. haha! Oh funny stuff. They have the chemistry down that is for sure. She stumbles on a balance trick because her dress kind of got caught, but other than that they looked amazing and sexy. Len thought the dance ticked all of their boxes of what they look for in a Rumba. Bruno called her a love goddess - but he called out the tiny stumble. Carrie Ann loves how she dances at her edge and loves watching her. Scores were all 9’s for a 27 out of 30.
Team Paso and Team Tango are up next. Joanna/Derek, Kelly/Louis, Donny/Kim are Team Tango. Team Paso consists of Mark/Anna, Aaron/Karina, Maya/Dmitry, and Mike/Anna. They play dramatic music and they all face off with a red light shining. Always trying to create the drama, ya know.
First up is Team Paso Doble and Michael asked Maya if she will be comfortable being the only female pro. She says she can hang. Karina and Lacey are conflicting with the choreography. I thought Aaron looked like he was trying too hard in his solo. Michael has on the tense face and jerky movements, but his moves were way easier than Aarons. Mark had some nice posture but he also didn’t have a lot of content. Maya brings up the rear and her foot came up thus a lift, but she looked the best I think. Mark and I think Aaron did some handless cartwheels at the end to finished off with a bang..although I thought it was just ok. Bruno said it was strong powerful and dramatic - but sync was lost. He said Maya stood out. Carrie loved the intensity, but the choreography went out of sync and basic. She thought Mark redeemed himself. Len congratulated Michael for pulling the routine together and thought as they went along it got better and better. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Team Tango consists of less couples which could be a blessing in disguise. Don is the only male and the girls are all gonna go after him. Someone hand me a spoon so I can gag myself further. I wonder if this is where he is going to be shirtless or was all that stuff on ET lies. Don is having issues b/c he thinks he is getting sick. Oooohhhh really? Hmmm…sure! So far so good in the sync category. Kelly and Louis do their solo first and do lots of spinning. Donny and Kym are next and they do typical tango footwork which I would have liked to have seen with Louis and Kelly. Derek and Joanna are pulling up the rear and are also spinning and are intense. The in-sync-ness of this dance is spot on. They did way better than team Paso. I thought all three solos were good. They should fair better with the judges and get higher scores. Carrie is out on the floor wondering why they put a lift in. Len thought it was easier b/c the Tango is in hold unlike the Paso - he thought that it was much more superior. Bruno loved it all and pointed out all the good in each couple. Scores were 2 9’s and a 10 from Bruno for a 28 out of 30.
I really liked Kelly and Louis tonight. Everyone else was just blah to me - Oh well, Maya was pretty good too. What do you think? Who is in trouble this week? Mark and Mike? I think so!!
Dancing with the Stars Week 6
Posted By: admin On: October 27, 2009 Comments: ( 2 )
We are going to have 2 weeks of double eliminations. Wow! Tonight though we are going to have the waltz and jitterbugs and then a group dance where they are judged side by side. First impressions…
Aaron Carter is in a green velvet suit with the cuffs of his collar all the way up to his ears. NO JOKE! Karina looks beautiful in pale green strappy gown. Lacey looks like a french maid and Mark is in some type of gray shiny suit number. Oh gawd! Donny Gag Me Osmond is in a tight white muslce shirt with red suspenders and a sequined hat. A red bandana is around his neck. I do not like it one bit. Kym has the same suspenders and hat but is showing lots of tummy tum tum. Louis Vito is in suspenders but his are way cuter than Don’s. He has a green short tie on and Chelsie is in a cute green number with a flowing bottom. And he almost bit it going down the steps. Oopsy. Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova look stunning. She always has such poise about her. She is in light blue and him in a vested type suit with the same color silk shirt that matches Anna’s dress. Melissa Joan Hart is in pretty lavender this week. Maya is in red and white polka dots with a can-can. She’s right out of “I Love Lucy.” Joanna Krupa is in a lovely off white with gold accent gown and Derek is back in a gray vested suit. Kelly Osbourne is in blue/pink plaid with loud yellow accents and HUGE I repeat HUGE loud yellow bow in her hair. Louis Van Amstel has on a loud yellow tie. As we pan the stars/pros, Mark Ballas heavily kisses a necklace. Wonder what that is about. Dang this show is going fast b/c when they just showed the couples, there are not that very many left. Wonder why they are doing the double elimination 2 weeks in a row. I don’t get it. Oh and btw, lifts are allowed in jitterbug. Good to know up front.
Maya and Dmitry Chaplin are up first doing the jitterbug. She is experiencing pain in her hip bone. We get to see her getting a massage. Oh boo hoo, Maya. Really? Did we need to see that? Dmitry is sweeping and she is doing something over at the judges table. She is cleaning. He is trying to get her attention. Took too much time with the props I think. They are both light on their feet and bouncing around quite nice. The crowd is clapping and I bet my Mom is too. Nice backflip she did. Nice tricks all around, but it lacked something. Perhaps the fun element - at least for me. Len thought the props were un-needed b/c he didn’t want her polishing his desk for 20 bars. Bruno thought she was spot on with her timing. Carrie Ann disagrees with Bruno and thought it was soft and muted, and it was slightly under from what she expects from her. Scores were 1 8 from CA, 7 from Len, and a 9 from Bruno for a total of 24 out of 30.
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas have the waltz this week. She is having problems with her posture/shoulders. Mark brings his Mom in to help to which she replies with Ah-Oh. My feelings exactly. haha! Mark’s hair in practice is horrible - very HIGH like a fro. She looks stunning tonight - I just love her dress and color of it. So far so good I think. Her posture looks nice, but at times she kind of looks a bit timid. There were times where they paused a lot too which made it look a bit awkward, but it was ok. Bruno said it wasn’t good. He said it looked like she wasn’t dancing and forgot what she was told. Carrie Ann said it felt a bit sticky and rigid. Len thought she looked elegant and the transitions, but saw technique problems. He thought their critiques were a bit harsh. Wow - 2 weeks of nice Len. What has gotten into him? Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 from Bruno for a 20 out of 30. Oh and btw, Mark got a haircut and just as I went to type this, Tom tells us we can bid on Mark’s hair from last week. haha! Great minds think alike, right Tom?
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer have the jitterbug this week. They go to a jitterbug club so he can get into character. While there he tried to get voter support. Whatever. He starts on the stairs with a huge high kick. He does the splits over Lacey’s head. He does some nice gymnastics and the splits. Full of tricks. He looks loose and like he is having fun. They had lots of tricks and I would have liked to have seen less, but I liked how they used the entire dance floor unlike Maya and Dmitry. Carrie Ann is screaming and doing crazy stuff with her arms. She loved it! She did point out a little stumble at the end which I did not see. Len said sometimes less is more, but not in the jitterbug. He loved the energy - thought it was great. Bruno said it was spectacular, but he lost timing at the end. Oh and Lacey is supposed to be a kitty not a french maid. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Bruno for a 26 out of 30. Crowd is booing Bruno. Bruno is the new Len, me thinks.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff have the waltz this week. He is super frustrated b/c he doesn’t know what to do because of America not liking them putting them in the bottom 2 weeks in a row. Boo Hoo, Aaron. Boo Hoo! He comes in to practice in a suit with red roses for Karina. He did it to show how dedicated he is to the character of the dance. GAG! He actually looks good starting out. They do some nice spin tricks in the beginning. He spins on one foot himself with his leg up in the air. A bit shaky, but it ended well. This is a very nice waltz, nice flow and chemistry. I think this is one of his better dances and I would be shocked if he were in the bottom 2. Len thought he danced with maturity, lovely posture, nice frame, great connection, and thought it was his best dance. He was proud of him. Aaron looks like he might cry. Bruno said he became a gent. tonight. He liked it, but also said he lost his footing at times. Carrie Ann thought it was beautiful, but also pointed out losing it at the beginning. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from Len for a total of 25 out of 30.
Tom tells us that Len gets crazy when giving a 9 paddle. We get to see it. Len puts the paddle up in the air and waves it around like he just don’t care only it was very prim and proper. LOL!
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova have the waltz I’m guessing based on their dress. I’m surprised they are showing 2 waltzes back to back like this. Michael did an open segment on his radio show to thank his fans for keeping him in the competition last week. In practice he is super stressed b/c of the double elimination. They start a part and flow towards each other which was nice. He has nice rise and fall. the chemistry between them is good as well. I like his nice smile. I thought they did well actually. Bruno said the posture wasn’t good enough and basically said it was mediocre. Carrie Ann asked if Anna’s feet came off the ground - Anna shook her head no. CA thought it was charming but has to dock them for the lift and the stumble. Len said it is amazing how three people can watch a dance and 2 people can get it wrong. He loved the charm, loved the footwork, good posture, and well done. Scores were 2 6’s and an 8 from Len for a 20 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the jitterbug this week. Of course they bring up the drama with her ankle. Will she be able to dance tonight? Will she? Of course she can. Kelly has fears about dancing and not being good enough so Louis makes her swing on a trapeze and drop into a net. She is going to take that and bring it to the dance. We shall see. This is nice and fast. On one of their spins her foot slips, but she didn’t fall or anything. I wonder if that will shake her confidence. I think she needs more bounce in her shoulders and upper body. A little flip trick where she lost her footing too, but not too shabby. Def. not the best one of the night though. Carrie Ann thought her sense of fun was back, but said she brought the worst b/c she thinks about it. She wants her to stay in the happy place. Len thought she was being a tad protective of her ankle and was a tad bit flat footed. It was like a blueberry muffin w/o any blueberries. Bruno thought it was cute and nice but now she needs to reignite the performance - throw away the fear and perform. Scores 2 7’s and a 6 from Len to which Kelly’s jaw dropped. Scores were 20 out of 30.
oooh - the dance off is back and judges get to make the decision about who goes. Interesting…
Louis Vito and Chelsie Hightower have the jitterbug. I do not like his hair this week. Parted down the center looks nerdy. Maybe that is his character - who knows? Poor guy is having issues with all the tricks. Oh yes he is a nerd. She rips off his tie and glasses and he puts the glasses back on. He flips Chelsie over and she falls flat on her arse. The funny thing is he didn’t see it b/c his next move was to run over to the judges table and jump on top of it. He rips his sleeves off and does a huge backflip off it. He loses his timing after one of the tricks. I can see Chelsie counting it out trying to get him back on. They do another trick and he just hapharzardly throws her up. Wow - I think it was a crazy routine. Not sure if he was ready for that, but they made it through. Len said parts of that was fantastic - loved his enthusiasm. He said there are bits where he loses his energy. Bruno said he got all wacko which suits this dance, but he lost his precision and timing. Carrie Ann loved this dance, but she pointed out dropping his partner twice. Oh and btw, he has Chelsie’s lipstick on his lips b/c he kissed her at the end. Awww!! Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are back as a couple this week with the waltz. Derek is being mean in rehearsals. We see this every season. They end on a nice note though. So far they look stunning together. Her posture is really good and she looks elegant. This glides very nicely. I thought they did great actually. Tom called it the “get a room dance of the season” LOL! Bruno said it was like watching a butterfly gliding over a meadow. Carrie Ann said her outside lines were great, but thought she had some hesitation or doubting herself. Len said her footwork wasn’t too briliant, but loved how they went straight into the dance, good hold, posture, lovely movement and the best waltz they’ve seen tonight. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Carrie Ann for a 26 out of 30.
Donnie Osmond and Kym Johnson have the jitterbug and their song is probably something about a choo choo train b/c they are acting like ridiculous children on a train backstage. GAG! The old man is having issues with the lifts and tricks. He has no stamina I think. Ok he is not doing too badly here. I bet my Mom even likes this especially with the music. They are right on with their timing with the music. I actually hate to admit this, but I liked it. Haha! Audience did too b/c they are standing and cheering loudly. Carrie Ann loves how they work a room, but commented on their stumbles and being out of sync. Len said they always come out and perform it full on - he thought there was too much choo choo action (he made the choo choo movements with his arms -ha!). Bruno said they lost timing, but always a great performance. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
The Big Mambo is up next and this is competition style where all couples are out there dancing. If they get tapped on the shoulder they are out. Whoever gets tapped out 1st gets 2 points - last place gets 10 points. This dance is all about endurance because it is a 4 minute dance. Michael Irvin is hilarious where he is bumping into everyone on purpose. Maya said he needs to wear a cup. The judges are up on their feet now and will be the ones tapping the couples to eliminate them. The goal here is to be the last couple standing, not the first one out. It is hard to watch everyone and type so I will just not type about their dancing. First couple tapped is Michael and Anna only they weren’t tapped - Len held up a paddle with their name on it. They get 2 points. Louis and Chelsie are the next out and they get 3 points. Melissa Joan Hart gets a bit lost on her spins and consequently they are the next out. They get 4 points. Kelly and Louis are out next with 5 points. Mark and Lacey are next out with 6 points. Everyone that is left looks great…however Donny and Kym go next and they get 7 points. Somehow Derek ends up on his back and Donny shimmys over him as they leave. The cameras weren’t there to pick it all up so not sure what is going on. Joanna is swinging her dress as Derek and Donnie do their thing. Aaron and Karina are next to go with 8 points. Second to last to leave us is Mya and Dmitry with 9 points. Joanna and Derek get 10 points and are the last couple on the floor and they do maniac turns at the end. She looks dizzy. I think they deserve it though.
Len loved it - the format and they were arguing all the way through. Bruno said it was magic - all did a great job, but Joanna and Maya were both sexy. Carrie Ann loved Joanna’s spirit that took it over the top. That was fun - I agree! They need to do that every season.
Ahhh - this was a jam packed show. I’m not even sure who my faves are. I don’t know. I think Michael Irvin and Louis Vito might be in trouble this week actually. Oh and Melissa Joan Hart might be right there with them.
Dancing with the Stars Week 5
Posted By: admin On: October 20, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
We’re back and Samantha is featuring a fro this week. Lots and lots o’ curls and I do not like it. First impressions…Aaron Carter looks like a stick in a suit. Mark Dacascos is showing some chest that is hairless. Lacey Schwimmer is in red and her hair is super high. Donny Osmond is in a nice suit and Kym Johnson looks stunning in black lace. Louis Vito has his hair slicked back and is in all black. He looks HOT tonight. Michael Irvin is in black with gold trimmings up and down his sleeves and side of his pants. Looks like a matador. Anna Demidova is spilling out of her gold sequined top. Melissa Joan Hart is in black and red. She looks very elegant yet loosened up as she walks down the steps. Maya is in turquoise tonight - a short number and looks pretty cute. Her and Dmitry make a cute couple. Natalie Coughlin looks like either Wonderwoman or an American Gladiator in red white and blue. She’s showing some awesome abs. Joanna Krupa is in a black long evening gown and she is paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy tonight. Hmmm..where’s Derek? Does he have the flu or injured? Kelly Osbourne is in all gray and her hair is pretty darn high like light socket high. Louis Van Amstel is sportin’ lots of guy-liner and Manscara tonight. Guess he got a little addicted to the makeup from last week, huh, or maybe it never washed off from last week? He scares me when he has makeup on.
Tom tells us that Derek has the flu. Hmm..hope it isn’t the H1N1 or he could be out for awhile. Wonder how the chemistry is with Maks and Joanna? We shall see. Tonight we have the Paso Doble and Argentine Tango with a group dance of the Hustle. Woot!
Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo are up first dancing the Paso Doble. I think she might be good at this with her competitive ‘tude. She starts on the judges table kicking her leg up like Alec’s wife, Edyta. They dance to “American Woman” which explains the red/white/blue gladiator outfit. She just did a lift and I am not sure it was allowed. Hmmm. I am not digging this music for this dance, producers. It was a contemporary Paso Doble so I’m not sure how Len will take it actually. Len called her an accomplished dancer, everything was precise, but he thought this dance lacked aggression. Bruno called her wonderwoman, but said this was wonderless. He thought it lacked conviction. Carrie Ann said she is a great student, she called out the lift that I called out, and wants her to not stop her movements at her hands. Scores were 2 7’s and an 8 from Len for a 22 out of 30.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff have the Argentine Tango. In practice Karina wants Aaron to turn her on and she said “It’s hard b/c I’m a cold-blooded bitch!” I couldn’t have said it better myself. LOL! I do not like Aaron’s hair - looks like a plastic Ken doll. I wonder if they just did a lift. Hmmm…this is looking pretty good, sexy and precise. I love the leg work. And..that looked like another lift although she did jump up herself. She is so not keeping her foot down. The lift police is going to have a field day. As far as Aaron goes - I think he did awesomely this week. Bruno said he did exactly what he asked him to do. Carrie Ann kisses him on the cheek twice - said that is the way to do it. She didn’t say anything about lifts. Len said he was like a little boy that lost his daddy and this week he has come back to him. LOL! Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova have the Paso Doble this week. Anna told Michael that he needs to keep his hips forward like he has a coin in his buttcheeks. Michael actually put a coin in his butt cheeks. LMAO! Hilarious. She said she has never had a student do that. They end the practice session with the coin falling out of his pants. haha! He is dancing small and he isn’t really hitting the moves. Anna is a brunette this week. Not sure if it is a wig or not. He does some cape work and has on a stern face. At least this week he isn’t just standing around. The crowd likes it and I think this might be one of his best dances although I didn’t think it was the best Paso I’ve ever seen. Carrie Ann seems to like it - she said finally someone put their game face on. She said it was her favorite dance so far. Len liked the posture, expressiveness, and thought this was even better than last week. Bruno said the quarter in his butt is working for him. LOL! Michael gives Bruno his quarter as a token. ICK but so funny! Tom says “and on the week that people have the flu..oooh!” haha! Scores were all 7’s for a total of 21 out of 30. Oh and I guess it was a nickel and not a quarter. Oops.
Maya and Dmitry Chaplin have the Argentine Tango this week. This should be good b/c of their sexy chemistry. Oh and Dmitry tells us that they can do lifts in this dance. Well, why didn’t they tell us this before Aaron Carter’s dance? Anyways, Maya knees Dmitry where it counts several times in practice. Oopsy. Better watch the goods, Maya. They leave the studio to help out with Habitat for Humanity. This is random. Maya and Dmitry certainly have the passion down. This just comes so naturally for her. They have very complicated footwork and I love it. She jumps off the stage into his arms. Some people just have it and some don’t. She certainly has it. Wow! Len doesn’t know what he likes until she sees it and he liked that. Bruno thought it was intricate, precise, and sophiscated, but to always keep the emotional connection. Carrie Ann thought she moved so well, but what was lacking was the emotional connection just slightly. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30.
We see some flu drama with Mark Ballas and Derek Hough. Mark said he didn’t feel like himself and wore a surgical mask so he wouldn’t get Melissa sick. We see Derek practicing with Joanna and he looked like total crap. Guess flu does not discriminate.
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer have the Paso Doble. I totally was not interested in their practice as I zoned out. Lacey comes out of smoke and Mark starts on stage. And well I think this could be his dance - full of flare and he is playing the part very well. He had a nice round high kick that looked awesome. He did some karate move kick thing that was pretty intense, not sure how well it fit with this dance. His face when it ended was scary - very kung fuish aimed right at the judges. LOL! Bruno said he is turning into a devil…said he was on it, sharp and angular. Carrie Ann said he was in his power tonight. Len said he had posture, performance and passion tonght. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Bruno for a 26 out of 30.
Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson have the Argentine Tango. We are shown how hectic his schedule is this week and I could care less. He is sharp in his movements but one thing I don’t like is they aren’t using much of the dance floor. They did have passion though and his footwork waas pretty sharp. This all sucks for me b/c I wish he’d get kicked off the show. Carrie Ann said the Argentine Tango loves Donny “gag me with a spoon” Osmond. She said it was so darn sexy. Len loved the intensity and quiet moments with the passion - said it was his best dance. Bruno said finally Donny Osmond is turning into Donny Darko. Donny starts after Bruno and Carrie Ann says no, no no. Donny said Bruno took him there. Oh lawdy! Scores were 2 10’s and a 9 from Len. BOOOOO! 29 out of 30 for them. That sux!
Louis Vito and Chelsie Hightower look like they are going to kiss backstage and she stops him. I say go for the kiss, guys. They have the Paso Doble tonight. Louis said to be prepared for a steamy Argentine Tango - Hmm..I can only hope. ahhh! His footwork isnt that precise and I’m not getting the steaminess. They did a nice chair slide trick though and I freakin loved that. He looks really nervous though tonight and shouldn’t be. Len wasn’t expecting a lot and was pleasantly surprised by it. He thought the chair worked great and thought it was the best dance so far. Bruno loved the story telling, but said he is still stepping it - he needs to start dancing. Carrie Ann said he needs to stay in dancer mode, but she loved how he partnered her. Scores were 2 7’s and an 8 from Len for a total of 22 out of 30.
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas have the Argentine Tango. Mark puts the pressure on and said he doesn’t want her to go any lower than 3 8’s. Anna Trebunskaya fills in for Mark since he was under the weather during practice, but Mark is back tonight. She looks a bit unsure tonight and not as precise. Mark has some red shoe covers on that are very distracting. She has some precise moments, but when they are close face to face - it looks like she doesn’t want to be close to him. It was dramatic though and she had some good moments. Apparently her dress got stuck on his jacket or something at the end and Tom had to run to the rescue. Bruno said she lost her steps a few times, and said she looked slightly grumpy more than sexy. Carrie Ann disagrees with Bruno and said she definitely nailed the character, but said she had a few stumbles. Len said it did lack a little bit of seduction between the guy and girl, said she coped with the difficult choreography, and said she did very well. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 for a 23 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the Paso Doble this week. Louis explains that Kelly is supposed to be the cape this week and she doesn’t get it. LOL! She is a little giggler in practice and sticks her tongue out while Louis has his back turned to her. They are dancing to an Ozzy Osbourne song and she is terrified about that. I must say it that I do not like her hair - the bangs, the harsh cut. Ick. Now I see why Louis is wearing dark manscara and guy liner b/c of the music. I like her head movement - how sharp it is. Her daddy likes it - he is up on his feet. It was pretty dramatic and intense, but I felt she could have done more. Carrie Ann said it is surreal but said she needs to stay in the intensity. Len thought she was dancing with more authority tonight. Bruno said it was very difficult all the way through, but said she got off a bit. She needs to stay on it. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Joanna Kruppa and Maksim Chmerkovskiy dance the Argentine Tango tonight. Maks is filling in for a very sick Derek. I wonder how Maks knows the choreography so fast. Does Derek right the steps down or something? Maks wants to skip the part that her and Derek started and start fresh. Well that answered my question. So far so good up on the stage dancing. She has the bitchy personality down. Something I am sure Maks got used to dating Karina. And wow - it looks like Maks stumbled over his feet or something. I am rewinding it to see for sure. Actually I think Joanna caused it. She lost her balance, but they recovered and fiinished nicely. Bruno said he was living his fantasies up until that stumble. Len thought they did a great job under the circumstances. Carrie Ann agrees with Len and sad they matched so well. She wants her to work on the flexibility. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Round 2 is up with the group Hustle. Yayy! Tom tells us that Kelly Osbourne hurt her foot in her last dance so she will be dancing barefoot in this dance. Corky Ballas is there all dressed in 70’s gear. He is choreographing it. They start in the audience and they are all dressed in 70’s gear. Michael Irvin has on a nice fro. Louis Vito has on side burns. They do a crazy solo with lots of spinning. Mark Ballas and Melissa go a little hog wild and he almost drops her. I love these wigs. Lacey has a nice mohawk. Aaron Carter is pretty darn flexible here and actually looks good. Oh gawd, Donny - gross hair, but this is right up his alley. Joanna is light on her feet and did some ncie tricks with Maks. Natalie needs to loosen up a bit, but she had some nice splits. Maya looks great and probably was one of the best. Michael Irvin is awesome too - light on his feet and strong. That was lots of fun though. Loved it! Bruno seemed to love it. Carrie Ann couldn’t see much b/c Michael was in her way. Len thought Mark, Donny and someone else did well. I didn’t hear it and don’t feel like rewinding. The judges don’t get to vote on this dance and I’m glad.

Dancing with the Stars Week 4
Posted By: admin On: October 13, 2009 Comments: ( 2 )
Tonight we have a whole spectrum of dances. Four new dances are going to be introduced tonight. I’m not sure I can handle 4 new dances. LOL!
First impressions - Aaron Carter is showing lots of chest with an open front silk white shirt. Karina has some big hair and showing off her tanned abs. Chuck Liddell is going sleeveless with a black leather vest or is it plether? I can’t tell. Anna has some huge ole rolls on the top of her head. Looks like she forgot to take the curlers out. Mark Dacascos is country-ing it up with a sleeveless white shirt and blue jeans. Donny Gag Me with a Spoon Osmond is in a tux and Kym Johnson in a red Charleston type outfit. Louis Vito is also country-ing it up with a white cowboy shirt. Chelsie looks so darn cute by his side. Michael Irvin is in silk looking very sauve. Melissa Joan Hart has a headband on and her hair pinned up to look short. She is in black lace. Mark Ballas has a fake ’stache. Not digging the ’stache or Melissa’s hair. Maya has on some crazy eyeshadow and crazy colors while Dmitry is sporting his signature opened shirt. Do we even care what color the shirt is, peeps? It is orange if you care to dare. LOL! Natalie Coughlin is in white. Kind of reminds me of a mermaid - bikini type top with a dress bottom, but still kind of interconnected. Ya know, mermaid style. That would totally fit her too being an Olympic swimmer. Didn’t even make the connection until after I typed “mermaid style.” I’m so good with the analogies, don’tcha think? Joanna Krupa is in yellow fringe and Derek in black. Kelly Osbourne is in Charleston type gear with a huge apache feather sticking up the front of her head. Her dress is black and white and WOW Louis Van Amstel is freakin’ scary with make up on. He is wearing red lipstick and lots of eye liner, maybe even eye shadow. WTH? Oh he also has blush on. ICK!
The four new dances this week are Charleston, Bolero, Country 2 step, or Lambada. Lifts are also acceptable tonight. Yayy! They should always make them acceptable so the lift police can retire.
Up first is Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya dancing the 2 step. He looks like he is having fun here. According to Anna he used to work in a country bar and is used to seeing people do this dance. Let’s hope this helps. They are practicing lifts and he is excited to be able to use his strength. I’m anxious to see it, Chucky! Anna starts up on the judges table and he is wearing jeans and carrying a rope to rope her in. They dance to “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” my favorite country song and I love to country line dance to this song. I used to take lessons ya know. Ok, back to Chuck… he does a black flip on the floor after he ropes in Anna. He does a lot of walking around, but had some nice strong lifts, but just wasn’t a lot of 2 steppin’ in there for my tastes. Maybe I don’t know what a 2 step is supposed to be. I just know line dancing. Len thought the lifts were very good and loved how he entertained, but said eventually this is a dance competition and he will need to improve the quality of the dance. Bruno said he raided the 2 step - bringing carnage and mayhem to every thing he does - he said it still managed to look like 2 step. Carrie Ann said this suited him the most and she loves how he never lets the dance beat him. Scores were 2 6’s and a 5 from Len for a 17 out of 30.
Dancing the Charleston is Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas. Mark said this is the first time he has ever done this dance. Melissa wants to practice really hard so that she doesn’t have to think about the steps and focus on the performance. They go to a 1920’s club to get in the character. We will see how this works. They put it in black and white on our TV’s - kinda cool. Now we are in color - she is doing a great job acting with her face. She is keeping up really well here. Wow - awesome footwork that went right along with the music. They end with him putting her over his shoulder and going up the stairs to the chairs. I thought this was by far her BEST dance of the season. Great job, Melissa! Bruno said she brought the 1920’s Hollywood Flapper back to life. He said she had the role 110%. Carrie Ann said it was her dance - she thought it was fantastic. Len said it was about the three E’s - Energy, Excitement and Entertainment and they ticked all three boxes. Woot! I was waiting for her to do well in this competition. Scores were 2 9’s and a 10 from Bruno for a total of 28 out of 30.
Dancing our first Bolero are Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo. This week they have major issues in practice because she is too stiff. He is being tough with her because they want to keep the momentum going from last week and really push the boundaries. She starts with a coat on with fur around her face. Alec removes it to reveal her sexy bod. She does the splits and it looks amazing. She is very fluid and not stiff. They did a cool trick where she did the splits on the move going backwards. I don’t really get the Bolero - I’m not sure what to look for, but it was pretty darn sexy. Carrie Ann was on the fence. She thought it was beautiful, but thought there was a struggle with the movement. She encouraged going for the difficult. Len thought it had a great lyrical movement throughout. He would have liked a little more romance b/w the two of them. Bruno loved how she found her Basic Instinct and compared her to Sharon Stone. He said to watch her arms. Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30. She looks a little miffed even though she said she is very happy about that. Hmmm…
Dancing the Lambada is Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff. We are taken back to the drama of his crying from last week and we see backstage stuff b/w him and Michael Irvin. Michael is comforting him which is really nice. Awww! This dance is supposed to be sexy and I wonder if he has it in him. He is going to incorporate gymnastics into the routine. Hmmm…not sure about this. Dang her skirt is short. He does some gymnstics over her and the crowd eats that up in a major way. This is looking like a party dance, but I am not feeling the sexy. He is keeping up. Lots of tricks at the end, but the ending trick didn’t quite work out. He was supposed to possibly lift her, but they couldn’t get the hands right and she ended up on the floor. She tried covering it and maybe some didn’t notice, but I did. bwahaha! Len thought it was a walk on the wildside and that he needed to spend his time on the raunchiness insted of the backflip. Len said this is the dance he wants to see raunchy. Bruno said for once he is absolutely right. Bruno said the character of this is Gilles Marini and he is not doing that. He needs to bring the foreplay in and to grow up to perform. Carrie Ann told him to chill out and that he is trying too hard. She said it turned her off. Scores were all 6’s for an 18 out of 30.
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer have the country 2 step tonight. They want to work on the chemistry this week since the judges said they had none last week. He is having issues not getting all the steps perfect, but the 2 step is kinda messy anyways so no perfection needed, Markus. There is hay or straw on the dance floor and he is resting his foot on it. Wonder if Len will like the props or not. Oh and he has some of the prop in his mouth. Lacey comes struttin over and the dance begins. I am not sure what to look for in these dances - doesn’t seem like their are rules. They do or try to do a trick where he holds Lacey sideways and she walks along the edge of the judges table. It didn’t quite work right because of the position of her feet, but I give them props for trying. His musicality was a little off with the beats, but they ended nicely with a little karate move. It was ok. His kids are in the audience and they seemed to enjoy it. He’s got some cute kiddos. Bruno said he should have a roll in the hay more often b/c he was more confident. He also said his footing was off in parts too. Carrie Ann rolled her eyes at Bruno..she thanked Mark and felt the chemistry and thought it was the best 2 step so far. Len loved the choreography and loved how Mark helped Lacey with her spins, but he was heavy in his footwork at times. Scores were 2 7’s and an 8 from Carrie Ann for a total of 22 out of 30.
Samantha tells us that next week there is going to be a group hustle. Yayy! Can’t wait to see that. I’m sure it will be full of cheese and laughs, but I love that so I should be good to go.
Kelly Osbourne and her woman errr…man of a partner, Louis Van Amstel have the Charleston this week. I’m not sure what is up with Louis’ makeup, but I’m sure it has to do with their performance. Louis is choreographing this like a broadway performance. This could be big! She starts sitting on the lap of someone who is sitting with her family. They start off well, full of life, and canes come down from the ceiling which is kinda neat. The only thing I see wrong so far is Kelly is looking down at her feet. Not sure if she should be doing that. I think she needs to keep her head up high. Nice energy, nice cane work, she looked like she had a blast and the ending was awesome. I really liked this. Louis did awesome choreographing it. The crowd loves it. Carrie Ann said watching you dance is like watching a little birdy getting their wings and learning to fly. She loves how her face lights up and loves Louis’ look. Len said she came out with confidence and she performed the dance which has been her problem. He would have liked a little more swivel, but overall very well done. Bruno loved the tribute and the foxy touches from Chicago - he thought it was a very good performance. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Len for a 23 out of 30.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough dancing the Lambada and Derek takes his shirt off completely. What? Joanna starts behind the judges then wraps her legs around Derek and he spins her around. I don’t get the whole shirtless thing. Lucky for him his bod is pretty awesome. This is pretty darn HOT! They got pretty close there and it looks like they kissed a bit. The tricks at the end were awesome - he spun her around close to the ground while he stepped over her. They ended with him holding her up while he bent backwards and he almost bit it, but he held it steady. Len wants that as tomorrow nights encore. haha! He said Derek never disappoints and thought it was fantastic. He thought it was a bit repititious that “flappin’ thing”. Bruno said don’t try this at home b/c it was like when animals get physical. Carrie Ann said she hopes the children were in bed and Tom said he bets some of the adults are now. haha! Good stuff. Carrie Ann thought it worked and it was fueled by the crotch area which is exactly what they did. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a 26 out of 30.
Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson have the Charleston this week. Behind the judges table is pretty popular tonight. He started there too. Oh boy - he is really performing up a storm here. Ok, I have to admit it, my little gagster is actually doing pretty good here. He is very light on his feet and you can tell he is having fun. He goes and kisses his wife and I guess his kid, but leaves out Marie. haha! Bruno said this showed a showman in his element. A little thing - he wants him to be sharper on the flicks and kicks. Carrie Ann thought it was excellent and loved how they move together as a team. She did see him stumble though. Len thought he looked good, he danced good, and watching him does good. Whatever! I just really don’t want him to do well. UGH! Scores were all 8’s for a 24 out of 30.
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova are dancing the Bolero. They bring in Tony Dovolani who is champion in this dance. Tony helps Michael with his connection and passion this week. Let’s hope it pays off. Anna is dancing pretty sexy, but Michae is doing a lot of big poses. I bet the judges are going to want more content again because he is just standing while she dances around him. What was that? He did have passion, but not a lot of movement. Carrie Ann saw the romance, but she thought there wasn’t enough dancing. She also saw the posing. Len thought this was the most difficult dance and can assure him that his score will go up higher than a 4. Bruno said every week he is supposed to get better, but nothing happens. Scores were 2 5’s and a 6 from Len for a total of 16 out of 30. Poor Michael - I kinda feel bad for him this week.
Next up is Louis Vito and Chelsie Hightower. Speaking of Louis, my bro went to a cookout this weekend where Louis’ cousin was present. She talked about him and he told her that I was a huge fan of the show and that I’d love knowing he was in the company of one of the stars family members. Jealous! I want Louis’ number, dang it..even though he is too young for me. haha! Anyways they have the 2 step tonight and to help him get in the country spirit Ty Murray is brought in. What a perfect person to get someone in the country mood, right? haha! Ty is so darn cute! Chelsie has never done this before so this could be a bit shaky. Chelsie wants him to look tough and compared him to a girl…ouch was what Louis said. Louis came out in some chaps and Ty said he looked like “mini-me with long hair” and that is soooo true. Louis needs a booster to get on a horse b/c he is so tiny. haha! I am laughing at this Ty/Louis bit. So funny. They do a death spiral at first. I love the intricate turns and how they keep the beat with their feet. They had a nice trick at the end and I was shocked he had the strength to pull it off, but he did and just flung her around. I thought they were cute and I would have liked to have seen a bit more movement. Len thought it was a series of walks and then Chelsie did something and felt there wasn’t enough going on. Bruno thought it was dazed and confused and he got by with his charm and smile. Carrie Ann said he didn’t feel any of the music coming through him, but Chelsie was working it though. I love Louis hair tonight - it is the feathered look!! Scores were2 5’s and a 6 from Bruno for a total of 16 out of 30.
Last up is Maya and Dmitry Chaplin dancing the Lambada. Maya wants to keep things simple, but he is all about comprimising…which is pretty good for a pro. Let’s see how sexy this dance it. I actually can’t wait. They start real close like they are gonna kiss. Her body is shiny tonight. She is letting the hips lose andthey get raunchy. Len will like it. Wow this was HOT HOT HOT and honestly I loved every moment of it. I couldn’t even type b/c I couldn’t take my eyes off that hotness. Audience is on their feet. Good stuff. Wonder if Maya is married? Bruno said it was an erotic, exotic roller coaster and you’d want to ride it over and over again. haha! Carrie Ann said she was on fire - she thought she brought a classy sophistication to it. Len never find their routines boring or that they are going to go wrong. Len thought he was going to get a bit more in this dance b/c of his high expectatons and her high standards. Boo Len! Scores were 2 10’s and an 8 from Len. Carrie Ann and Bruno sat with their backs to Len which was really cute. Total 28 out of 30.
Ok, really loved Maya and I hate to say it but Donny was good. Melissa was great tonight. Loved Joanna and Derek and Kelly and Louis. What do you think?
Dancing with the Stars Week 3
Posted By: admin On: October 6, 2009 Comments: ( 2 )
Tonight we have Sambas and Rumbas - and it is supposed to be sexy. However, remembering from years past sometimes it is not so sexy. We shall see. First impressions…Aaron Carter is wearing a blue bathrobe over pants of course. Chuck Liddell is wearing layers upon layers on his arms. His arms are actually flapping in the wind with so much material. Anna’s hair on top is super high. Mark and Lacey look normal. Gagger looks normal too and Kym actually looks quite elegant. WOW! Chelsie and Louis look hot hot hot. Louis hair is slicked back and he is showing some chest. Owowowow! Michel and Anna are in hot pink. Wasn’t he in pink last week? He must think it looks good on him. He has no sleeves though and is showing off his toned arms. Ewww - Tom DeLay is wearing a red/white striped shirt and red pants that come up way too far giving him a man camel toe (I know that is TMI, but it is the truth). Cheryl is in blue and white and she is sporting stars. If you combine them you have the American Flag. Maks looks hot tonight - eat your heart out Karina. Debi looks uncomfy in her getup and I am not digging her curly sue hair. I didn’t recognize Melissa Joan Hart, but she looks great - she reminds me of someone tonight. It will come to me. Mark Ballas’ hair is way out of control sticking up all over the place. Maya looks awesome in a gray off one shoulder dress and Dmitry is showing WAY too much chest. He always has to outdo Maks with the open shirt thing. Len won’t like that. Natalie is showing lots of skin and looks fabulous in what appears to be a bedsheet draped over her. Alec also has his shirt way too far open trying to outdo Dmitry and Maks. Joanna looks like Latin Barbie tonight. Kelly Osbourne has on a brownish/red bob of wig and a gold get up while Louis Van Amstel is in animal print. Grrrr…
Ok, have to pause while I put my 92% fat free hamburger on the grill. Stay with me people…oh and before I leave you I must say Samantha’s hair is back to normal. Thank you hair people!! Samantha tells us that Tom DeLay has a full stress fracture in his foot this week and it has been touch and go all day. Will the show go on without Tom? We can only hope. LOL!
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer are up first. Gosh, I still don’t know how to spell his name. I have to look it up every single time and it bugs me. They have the Rumba and Mark is bouncing from wall to wall like a little kid during rehearsals where as the Rumba needs to be slow. We shall see how hot this Rumba is as he holds a few hands of some ladies out in the audience. He certainly has the hip action down. He is doing a lot of posing and this doesn’t look very sexy to me. It was just ok to me. I don’t think these two have a lot of chemistry, but that is just me. Len said grumpy is back and he thought it lacked a bit of chemistry, but loved how Lacey swung around on one leg. Bruno said it was an anti-climax calling it too staccato - it lacked fluidity. Carrie Ann said something is lacking with their connection - he needs to find his sensuality. She said it was uncomfortable to watch. Scores were all 6’s for an 18 out of 30.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough have the Samba and it appears that in practice she is really shaking her stuff - Derek calls it nasty and it surely looks like that. I’m wondering if it will be too raunchy for Len. We shall see. Derek swings in on a black rope like Tarzan. How dramatic! The crowd is eating that up. I, however, am not. LOL! This is certainly sexy but her last move did not have a pointed toe and it looked gross. She had great hips though and looked like she had fun. Bruno said the good times are back - full of excitement and life, but some footwork was unsteady. Carrie Ann agrees but says she loves how she is fearless. Len said it had quality stamped all over it. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Carrie Ann for a total of 23 out of 30.
Maya and Dmitry Chaplin have the Rumba and they are now back to traditional style to please Len. Maya wasn’t feeling the romance so she dressed up the studio with rose petals, candles, etc. Not sure if it helped or not. Oh and she has on blue/purple dress not gray. It originally looked gray to me. Now this is how a Rumba should be. She did the splits and he lifted her up really slowly which was totally sexy. This was one hot Rumba! Wow! Great! Paula Abdul and Lance Bass are in the audience. Carrie Ann said it was ridiculous and she had chills - she couldn’t call a lift b/c she was so mesmerized. haha! Eat it Carrie Ann. Len said be still my beating heart, but for him there was so much going on that they needed some simplicity. Bruno said she put everyone in America in the mood for love. Scores were 2 10’s and a 7 from Len. WTH, Len? For Real? 27 out of 30 is their total.
Melissa Joan Hart decked out in orange fringe and lots of it and Mark Ballas have the Samba. Mark is getting tough with Melissa this week and we’ll see if it helps at all. She looks a bit weird in the shoulders like too bouncy and out of control. I really thought though that this is probably one of her better dances - good for her. Len thought parts were really excellent and loved how she came out and performed. He wants more from the waist up. Bruno said he knew she could switch it on - much improved. Carrie Ann said she improves every week, but there was something about it that she doesn’t believe where she still senses the fear in her. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 19 out of 30.
Louis Vito and Chelsie Hightower look like they are getting too close for comfort. hmmm…could a relationship be brewing? Ok, I couldn’t take my eyes off of them during their rehearsal to even type. I love these too together. WOW - that was some hot stuff right there. They danced to “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and I freakin LOVED IT! HOT HOT HOT. Bruno said “that’s chemistry” but at times quite jerky, but he loved the performance. Carrie Ann said their chemistry was unbelievable and he gives good frame. Len so much wanted to be nice, but the thought it was wild - no finesse. He was disappointed. BOO! Len is an old fuddy duddy tonight. We want Baz back. Scores were 8 from CA, 7 from Bruno and a 5 from Len. WTH, Len? Len you suck tonight. Total score 20 out of 30.
Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have the Samba and she needs to be quiet this week. Her words, not mine. haha! Maks brings in Mel B. and she talked about being in the bottom 2, but how Maks took her all the way to the finals. She is bouncing around like it needs to be, but her top half looks a bit weird and the ending didn’t look right. Did something not work out with the steps? I don’t know. Carrie Ann thought it was cute, but it felt a hair safe. Told her to watch her turns and not be so worried about it. Len said they were neat and precise, but it was like cooking - had all the ingredients but it lacked flavor. Bruno said she went wrong twice, but told her to work it. Scores were 2 6’s and a 5 for a total of 17 out of 30. Len gave Louis and Chelsie a 5 and I swear those 2 dances didn’t even compare.
Donny Gag Osmond has the sexy Rumba this week and honestly I feel I might throw up in my mouth because of it. Ick! He is having issues with the sexy part b/c he feels like everyone knows him as a happy go lucky and rarely does anyone see this side of him. I hope I don’t see it to be honest with you. They dance to “Endless Love.” I am giggling at this beginning solo part. haha! He looks like twinkle toes. The ending was nice and romantic, but the other stuff was not. I just wanted to laugh watching it. Len said he needs to straighten his legs, but that he did a great job. Whatever. Bruno said it was a bit airy fairy at times….hahaha! LMAO! I agree. Bruno told him to come to the darkside in which Donny went over and dipped Bruno not once but twice. LOL! Carrie Ann says it was very daring to do a solo, but said he lost his musicality, but she liked the genuine vulnerability. ICK is what I say. Scores were all 7’s for a total of 21 out of 30. Samantha told Donny that he should have given Bruno the tongue for a higher score. Samantha - you dirty girl!
Tom is in the audience with Paula Abdul and Lance Bass. He asked her about the show - she thinks it is great. She called out Len and wants to make out with Carrie Ann. She’s nutzoid! Poor Lance didn’t get any Mic time.
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova have the Samba and are arguing up a storm in rehearsal. I love it! He can’t stand how she teaches him one new thing when he hasn’t even gotten the last step. And yes, they were wearing hot pink last week too. Ok this has some soul to it. He is light on his feet tonight. That was a lot of fun for me. It wasn’t chock full of difficult moves, but it was fun and entertaining. Bruno thought he was going in reverse gear - saying there was no rhythm. Huh? Carrie Ann said the problem is he is dancing too small. Len said it was a bit disaappointing and how it was a hard dance for a big guy. I think he gets a 10 for entertainment value. Scores were 2 5’s and a 4 from Len for a total of 14 out of 30.
Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo have the Rumba and she is also having sexy issues. Natalie’s face gets red each time her and Alec get close. Edyta, Alec’s wife, comes in and shows her how it is done with more eye contact. The beginning was super dramatic with a smoke machine behind Alec and he held a sheer sheet that was over the top of Natalie as she was on the ground below. Sexy already. They dance to “In the Air Tonight.” She actually looked him the eye tonight and had some super sexy moves with her leg up in the air. Wow this was super hot and sexy. She did awesome! The last trick was amazing where she swung around and did a death spiral while ending up in the splits between his legs. owowowo! Carrie Ann said she knew she had it in her. She said it was gorgeous and intense. Len thought it was very expressive, great leg action, and chemistry. Bruno called her a sexy beast and to bring more of that. Scores were 2 9’s and an 8 from Len for a total of 26 out of 30.
Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya have the Samba which explains his crazy outfit. Chuck went to get a pedi with his daughter and I believe he got his toes painted pink. hehe! In the rehearsals he really looks like twinkle toes. I hope he can pull this out. He pulls his crazy arms off and now is sleeveless - much better. He does a side kick out towards the judges table. haha! He has a nice smile on and is actually getting into this dance like I have never seen him before. I think he is so darn cute. The middle and end part was actually great. He looked like a dancer. So proud of him. I had fun watching that. Len gave Anna congrats for doing a great job with Chuck. He was thoroughly entertained. Bruno can see the huge amount of work that went into it, but it was a Samba from Zombie town. LOL! Carrie Ann said she loves his spirit and she did enjoy it. Scores were 2 6’s and a 5 from Len for a total of 17 out of 30.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff is backstage dancing with Donny. Siiick! They have the Rumba tonight which explains his baby blue bathrobe. He does a sexy stare in practice and Karina just giggles. Hmmm…not sure what it was about this, but I didn’t really like it. Weird! Bruno thought it had plenty of attack and focus and it lacked fluidity. I agree with Bruno. Carrie Ann loved his lines and he is over exaggerating everything. Len thought said it lacked musicality because of his arms. He said he is just flinging them. Scores were 1 8, 1 6 and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 21 out of 30.
Tom DeLay and Cheryl Burke have the Samba tonight. We don’t know if he will be able to dance though because of the stress fracture. The producers and his doctor told him to withdraw from the competition. He is not giving up though which is good. Apparently he has 2 sore feet and not just 1. They are with Tom. He has a stress fracture in both feet now. Tom asked him what is he gonna do and he said “what’s a little pain when you can party.” He is ready for a good challenge and is up for the Samba. Hmmm. Here they go… He is keeping up with her, but he is just gross when he dances. LOL! He got through it and kept a smile on his face. He looked like he had fun out there. I’m glad someone did. Carrie Ann said he is easy on the eyes when he dances, but it wasn’t as exciting as it could be. Len thought he was a hero - well done, but careful. Bruno called him a super trooper, but the performance sufferred. Scores were 1 6, 1 4 and a 5 from Bruno for a total of 15 out of 30.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the Samba this week. She is coming off a bad week and her confidence is shaky. I hope she pulls herself out this week. I want her to go far. She dances to “Love Game.” This was super fun. They kissed on the lips and then at the end they really kissed. owowowow! It was cute and she kept up really well. She just needs to not dance so small at times because she could be a power house. Otherwise, I thought it was lots of fun and this should boost her confidence. They are so darn cute! Len thought she needs to convince herself that she is a good dancer. Bruno said this week she is back and to forget about doubt. Carrie Ann thought she needs to stay focused because what she does right is way beyond..whatever. I don’t know what she said. Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 from Len for a total of 20 out of 30.
Loved Louis and Chelsie, Maya and Dmitry, and Natalie and Alec. Who were your faves this week?
Dancing with the Stars Week 2
Posted By: admin On: September 29, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
Tonight the men and women are dancing against each other on the same night. Wow - if I have to endure another 5 hour week of DWTS, I think I might die. Don’t get me wrong, I love Dancing with the Stars, but these 2 hour shows two nights in a row and then followed by a 1 hour show the next night is a bit much. It is enough to drive a blogger who is limited on time crazy. Anyways, tonight we have jives and quicksteps which happen to be my two favorite dances. Yayy! In the previews I did see Debi smack Maks - but I am guessing they were acting.
First impressions - Aaron Carter looks like he belongs on a box of Lucky Charms. He has a green suit on - All green! Icky Poo! Chuck Liddell has something on the side of his head - kinda looks like a tattoo. I couldn’t tell because he kept his head turned. Weird. Lacey and Mark look cute. Donny looks like a dork. Louis and Chelsie are darling as they look like they are going to a modern sock hop. Michael and Anna are decked out in hot pink and I must say it looks good on him. Cheryl also has green on (way prettier than Aaron’s Green) and Tom Delay has a black suit on with a green matching tie. They look elegant. Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas are in red/white polka dots. She reminded me of Minnie Mouse. Maya is wearing a short bob of a wig with bangs and lots of fringe. I don’t like her wig. Natalie Couglin is wearing light purpe and looks gorgeous! Joanna Krupa is showing some tummy and looks like a rocker chick. Kelly Osborne is wearing a red gown and looks great! And we have a guest judge in Len’s place tonight - Baz Luhrmann who directed Moulon Rouge.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are up first this week with the Jive. She started off by running to him and he slid her through his legs. Her toes were NOT pointed and it did not look nice. haha! Look at me pointing out these things as if I am the judge. I am a judge, ok? LOL! Oh and BTW, she has on a long wig that looks gross and gray. I do not like it. She is doing really well keeping up with Derek. Wow - this is pretty fast and she is right there along with him. What I love about her is she just lets it all out. You can tell she is having fun. Her kicks and flicks are pretty good too which is what they always look for. My only criticism is that they could have had more kicks and flicks, but it was really high energy. Carrie Ann loved the energy and gusto, but said her feet were a bit spastic and not pointed. Bruno said the flicks and kicks weren’t precise. Baz wanted to see more connection between the two - the relationship. Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 from Carrie Ann for a total of 20 out of 30.
Natalie Couglin and Alec Mazo have the Quickstep this week. In practice she is having issues with breathing since she is so used to holding her breath for swimming. I think that is pretty interesting that she brings that to the dance floor. All I know is we don’t want another Marie Osmond episode by not enough breathing, so please Nat, BREATHE! They jumped off the top step of the stage, wow - her in heels! Weird. Her hold/frame is really weak. Her high kick was nice and the kicking in and out banter with Alec was good. Her splits were good, but not going into them as her toes were not pointed. Once she got into the splits she pointed them and that looked better. This just didn’t feel like a Quickstep to me because it was not very quick. She also looked a bit uncomfy. Bruno told her to relax and she could be amazing. Baz agrees with Bruno, but liked the 2nd half b/c she was in the moment and lit up the room. Carrie Ann said she is her favorite b/c she likes watching her move. She wants her to think of Alec as an extension of her. Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30.
Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya have the Tango this week. Hmm…I thought it was just jives and Quicksteps. Boo! :( He looks like he might be good at this with his fighter background. I hope he doesn’t freeze. And yes, he does have a cougar, panther or something on the side of his head. Looks kinda crazee! He has on the perfect mean face. He is a little forward in his leaning and he is kind of hard footed, but he certainly has the face down and the fierceness. At the end Anna rips off his shirt and he opens his mouth wide. LOL! Baz thought Len would rip him to pieces, but liked seeing him strong and the ability to face fear. Carrie Ann was frightened, but said that the dance had impact. Bruno said he could see the work he put into it - working very hard. Bruno asked us to vote for him as he is amazing. Aww - Chuck is my gentle giant. He is growing on me. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 from Baz for a total of 19 out of 30. And Baz is pretty consistent with his 7. Let’s see if he has another paddle under that table.
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas has the jive this week. Mark does the splits over her shoulders. Looks like she missed some kicks, but couldn’t tell. She is a lot looser this week and having some fun. This dance was a lot of fun and I bet she is glad to have it over with and under her belt. LOL! She did pretty well I thought. Carrie Ann screamed out and is so happy. She loved it. Bruno said so much was going on up there, but not a lot down there - she needed to check her feet. Baz thought it was a big improvement from last week, but to work on the steps. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 from Carrie Ann. Baz gave a 6 this time. The audience BOO’d and I really thought it was better than a 19 out of 30.
Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova have the Quickstep this week. They work literally all day and night trying to perfect this. Wow he is serious. This is looking pretty good actually. This dance definitely did not lack content. It could have been faster for my taste, but that’s just me. Bruno liked that it had content calling it proper. He said he improved. Baz said he confronted the challenge and he had great charm, but the timing was a bit off. Carrie Ann said this week was like a touchdown compared to last week and complimented Anna for coming back this week with content. Scores were 2 7’s and a 6 from Bruno and the audience is booing Bruno for a total of 20 out of 30.
Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have the Tango tonight. So, I am guess the slap is part of getting in the mood of the Tango. She kicks Maks although she doesn’t make contact. She asks him to be more patient and he says “Never.” Looks like they are getting into it for reals. She is getting upset and crying for how he is treating her. He apologizes for how he treated her and then she smacked him. LOL! Good for her! Ok, this is looking good - a nice love/hate relationship. They are dancing to “Roxanne” but it sounds like the Count from Sesame Street singing it. haha! I think they captured the essence of the tango here. Baz also said “love/hate” just like me..haha - he loved how they played that story out. Carrie Ann called her the drama queen and she worked it on the dance floor. Bruno loves how she channels the feisty ball breaker, but said to work on the shaky parts. Maks doesn’t want her to continue channeling the ball breaker. LOL! Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30. 7 is a popular score tonight, geez.
Louis Vito and Chelsie Hightower have the jive. Can’t wait to see this actually. Wow he does a semi flip off the top of the steps over Chelsie sitting on them. WOW! Love his tricks! They start right in with some nice kicks and flicks. Great high kicks! Wow - I loved this! Carrie Ann loves the joy he has while dancing, but said he had moments where he lost touch with the music. Bruno said at times he did too little, but in the parts he did things he did great. Baz thought they were a great couple, but thought his jacket worked against him since it was too big, but he thought they captured what the jive should be. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 for a 19 out of 30. Boo on that score!
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff do some crazy jumping stuff back stage. I don’t get it. This week they have the Quickstep. Looks like they have some pretty intense practices this time around. And…the muppets are in on this dance…interrupting the band. They are dancing to the Muppets Theme. Weird! It still doesn’t explain his Lucky Charms suit that doesn’t match Karina’s dress. They are actually doing a great Quickstep which seems like the best one so far. That was great! The ended it by doing the death spiral and landing on their stomachs and he gave her a kiss on the cheek. I really enjoyed this from them. Bruno called it spectacular and he stood up while he said it. Bruno loved how he commanded the performance but said the danger is he will have to live up to it. Baz loved how he is growing from one performance to the next. Carrie Ann who is also wearing green - she called it truly a pleasure. She loved the tight hold and pizazz. That doesn’t look like it is spelled right, but I don’t care. Oh, I get it, Karina is supposed to be Miss Piggy and Aaron is supposed to be Kermit in green. Ahhh - it all makes sense now. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30. WOW! Good for them.
Kelly Osborne and Louis Van Amstel have the Tango and she is a nervous wreck because she only has 3 days to learn it as opposed to 4 weeks to learn her dance from last week - which was awesome. Here we go… WOW, Louis is known for being fast, but this Tango is extremely fast. It almost looks like a violent Quickstep. Some of the footwork is not together - she is a little ahead of him. She tried, but it wasn’t the best. Baz said there were mistakes, but she never gave up. Carrie Ann agrees with Baz and told her to stay in character. Bruno said it was a shame, but said she can do it. Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 from Baz for a 19 out of 30.
Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani have the Quickstep tonight. They are bouncing quite nicely, however this isn’t very quick. Maybe it will speed up. It didn’t. Honestly I think she did fine, but it didn’t seem like a real quickstep to me. Carrie Ann thought this suited her much better than the Salsa. She wants her to break through and not be too reserved. Carrie Ann wants Tony to get closer. Bruno wants her to be engaging. Baz thought it was elegant and beautiful and thought it wasn’t exciting like the Quickstep needs to be. Scores were all 6’s for an 18 out of 30.
Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer have the Quickstep too. He does the splits over her from the audience. Nice toe point during too. He is doing GREAT! Nice high splits and toe point. He is doing wonderfully keeping up and the last trick it looks like Lacey’s hips made him flip in the air and fall. NICE! Bruno called him a great performer if only he could get his feet under control. Baz thought it was an incredible comeback after that first fall. He fell? When? I ddn’t see it. I will have to rewind. Carrie Ann likes how tight and clean he was when he dances. She told him to breathe and relax a little more. I rewound it and I saw him slip, but he recovered nicely. Scores were all 7’s for a 21 out of 30.
Maya and Dmitry Chaplin are jiving tonight. Dmitry is dressed like a nerd and it looks kinda gross. Her turns are spot on and she is doing this wonderfully. Loved this dance! Loved them! Shawn Johnson is on her feet. Wow! Good scores I’m sure. Baz thought it was the real deal - fantastic. He loved the speed, accuracy and loved the story of the dance. Carrie Ann said Len would not have liked the beginning, LOL, but good thing he wasn’t there. She liked everything. Bruno is going on and on with nonsense like usual - he loved it though. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30.
Tom DeLay and Cheryl Burke have the Tango. Apparently Tom’s tootsies are hurting him specifically his toes. Let’s see if it hinders him. He certainly has the head motions right and he isn’t giving himself whip lash like he was in practice. The last trick he almost dropped Cheryl but he looks like he is in pain. Carrie Ann says there is something alluring by watching them dance and she calls it odd - she loved it until the end. She told him to “squeeze them together, sir.” LMAO! Bruno said he nearly pulled it out of the bag, but then it went to pieces. Baz thought it was a cliffhanger due to the ending, but loved his hold. Scores were all 6’s for a total of 18 out of 30.
Last but not least is Donny “Gag” Osmond pulling up the rear with the Jive. Will 51 year old Don be able to keep up? He has nice kicks so far. I would like to see more though, but it was a fun dance even for the Gag man. It was entertaining I will say that. Bruno said mission accomplished, well pitched, well executed, and thought it was a very good job. Baz loved that the dance knows no age. He loved it. Carrie Ann called it an amazing performance. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from Baz who I think was kissing some A$$ with that score. Total score 25 out of 30.
Loved Aaron Carter this week as well as Maya. Everyone else was just all right for my taste - and I still think Louis and his smile are cute! What are your thoughts?
Series Premiere of Season 9 DWTS - It’s Ladies Night!
Posted By: admin On: September 25, 2009 Comments: ( 1 )
We start off with a group dance of the pro females and they start it on the floor tonight as opposed to the ceiling. They dance to “She’s a lady” of course. While the ladies are doing their thing and I am not watching for whatever reason, I will say that I hope I stay away for the next 2 hours because I only got 3 hours of sleep last night. I might be doing a lot of fast forwarding. We are now welcoming the season 9 cast yet again. At least they have on different outfits tonight. They introduce the men first and the lovely ladies show us their stuff. What’s funny is I know ALL the women tonight, but didn’t know hardly any of the men ‘cept “puke in mouth” Donny. YUCK! From the first impressions without seeing them dance, Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas might be a favorite because they look pretty cute together. Also by looks only Derek Hough and the only female I don’t know. I’ll figure her name out later. The odd couple out of all of this is Macy Gray and Jonathon Roberts. Dang - ODD looking. She is so incredibly tall. And, I see that Tony Dovolani is once again matched up with “his type”. Look back on all his previous partners (except last season’s Melissa) and you will understand what I am talking about. Let’s see if Kathy Ireland will prove me wrong about “Tony’s type” and be different than say a Jane Seymour or Leeza Gibbons.
First to take the floor are (I don’t know her name had to look it up, but I do know her face from all kinds of TV) Debi Mazar partnered with heartbroken Maksim Chmerkovskiy. They have the Salsa first and in practice she talks a lot which of course annoys him. LOL! They are kind of cute together - I like the banter. She needs to point her toes more and be more graceful. She looks pretty uncomfy in her heels. Her turn was messed up and that messed up her timing and steps. She looks very unsure and looks down a lot. I’m actually surprised she doesn’t have more confidence as she is always portraying the bad girl on TV. Len thinks the hip action was missing, feet were flat, but full of energy and potential. Bruno loved that she worked her boobies (he didn’t call them that) and told her to work on the footing and timing. Carrie Ann said it is tough for the girl and that it lacked character and she thought about the moves too much and whether Maks was gonna yell at her. haha! I bet! Scores were 2 5’s and a 6 from Carrie Ann for a total of 16.
Might I add that I think Samantha’s commentary is a total waste of time. I tune her out. What I really should do is fast forward.
Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas are second. I think she’s put on a little weight since she took her bikini shot for People Magazine, but she still looks great. Who needs to look good in a bikini now anyways - it is fall time? She is dancing the Viennese Waltz and is wearing a nice white elegant gown. This is looking elegant so far. They are dancing to “This is the Time” - a song from American Idol. The only thing I can say about her is she looks a bit timid and doesn’t seem to be really going for it. Otherwise I thought it was pretty graceful and nice. Bruno asked her if she was nervous and he laughs at her, but thought it was prim, proper and adequate, but her shoulders rose up and spoiled the dance. Carrie Ann said she created a few moments that she enjoyed, but it felt a little choppy. Len thought the start was sweet and sickly and he couldn’t stand that, but thought the hold was good. He liked the movement, but the feet were no good. Scores were all 6’s for a total of 18.
Maya and Dmitry Chaplin have the Viennese Waltz this week. All I know is Maya is very pretty, but I must say I do not like the bangs she is sporting in this dance. Now this Viennese Waltz is fluid. They dance to “Vision of Love.” I think she could be here quite long because she seems to have what it takes - this is beautiful. I’m glad for Dmitry since he had such a terrible partner last season in Holly Madison. Carrie Ann said she set the bar tonight calling it gorgeous. Len is in a predicament, as he didn’t like the three bars in hold, he said it was NOT a Viennese Waltz. Bruno disagrees calling it artistry and how magnificent she was. He is flippin’ mad at Len. The crowd agrees with Bruno. Len said Dmitry let her down by not doing the Viennese Waltz. Tom asked Len if he has been to three bars tonight. bwahahaha! Good one, Tom. Their scores were 2 8’s and a 5 from Len for a total of 21. That Len!
Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani have the Salsa and apparently she is doing the show to lose weight, get moving, and be happy. She does have some big boobies and Tony is trying to get her to shimmy them which she is NOT able to even do that. She is gorgeous tonight, but what is up with Tony’s pants? They are way too long covering his feet. In fact you can almost bend the pants over his shoes once or twice. How he can dance in those is beyond me. Tony does his signature dip where she bends backward and he catches her neck. That is getting old, Tony. He also did the same move where she goes between his legs - the same move he did with Stacy Keibler. Oh and I was exaggerating on how far you could bend his pants over his shoes - only once folks. It started off good, but it lost steam in the middle and end. She was actually better than what I thought though at least based on practice and how uncoordinated she is. Len said it lacked energy and it was too careful. Bruno said she didn’t sell the Salsa, no hip action or sex. Carrie Ann complimented her posture, but told her to let go and to loosen up. Scores were 2 5’s and a 6 from Carrie Ann for a total of 16.
Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo also have the Salsa. I’m anxious to see what this Olympic swimmer can do out of the water. Aren’t you? Backstage Natalie and Alec are warming their arms up like swimmers always do - the funny thing is she is in her salsa costume which makes it kinda cute. She gets frustrated easily because she is so used to being the best. She has issues with facial expressions because she is so intense. Here we go… She starts off with great hips and carries that throughout. It was missing the sex though as Bruno said before. She did a nice flip over Alec’s back which was kind of cool for week 1. To me the dance lacked movement on the floor, but I thought she was pretty good and is full of potential. She also smiled throughout. Bruno said one day she could make it on the dance, but told her she freezes mid performance, but she has what it takes to become a great dancer. Carrie Ann called her a diamond in the rough, but told her to sink into the beat. Len is bewildered and can’t understand how the gorgeous girls aren’t knocking his socks off with the Salsa. Carrie Ann chimed in with “b/c you are getting old” and leans over and hugs Len. haha! Scores were 2 6’s and a 7 for a total of 19.
Macy Gray and Jonathon Roberts have the Viennese Waltz. I know Macy is off the wall, but man she seems like she is on something. She’s a singer and not supposed to be a comedian, I find her behavior hilarious. Jonathon called her eccentric. I totally agree. She is touring while trying to learn her routine. Should be interesting. She’s got the right type of face on which is good. They dance to “Natural Woman.” She opens her mouth a little much though and she looks like she is in dreamland sometimes, but this is really better than what I thought. She doesn’t act like she cares and is letting loose. Would I say it was elegant? Not really, but she did flow nicely! Carrie Ann said WOW it was fascinating and couldn’t go there on technique, but loved the performance. Len said Carrie Ann was correct and loved the vulnerability and charm and if he was at home, he’d be voting for her. Bruno said it was like watching a child take its first steps into a new world saying she touched people’s hearts, but to work on technique. In her interview with Samantha she cussed and they bleeped it out. The live audience is laughing and Carrie Ann is hunched over the judges table laughing her arse off. haha! Scores were 4, 5, and 6 for a total of 15. Oh and she said something about popping a cherry. Bruno and Carrie Ann could barely get their scores out. Fun times.
Model Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are next. No wonder Derek broke up with Shannon Elizabeth. Look at Joanna! They have the salsa. She has on bright yellow fringe pants and barely a top, but she sure is HOT! Ok, they have sex appeal and nice hip action. Ok, I LOVED THEM! They are HOT HOT HOT! Len looks happy because at least because it was a hot, smokin’ Salsa. Bruno said it was sexy, saucy and what a salsa should be. Carrie Ann agreed calling it hot and loves her confidence. They loved Derek’s choreography. Scores were all 8’s for a 24. They are in the lead!
Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel have the Viennese Waltz. I’m anxious to see her do this actually. Glad to see Louis back. He has been choreographing on So You Think You Can Dance and has done some amazing work over there. Love him! Kelly calls herself crap as a dancer in practice. I laughed out loud. She doesn’t like sweating in practice. I totally agree, Kelly! Anyways, lets see her moves…so far I see elegance wow! Nice movement across the floor. Louis is known to be a fast mover so it will be interesting to see her keep up. They used her dress as a prop and I loved it. He did lift her which I don’t know if it is allowed, but wow, it was great. Sharon and Ozzy were in the audience and they were just as proud as can be. Sharon looks like she might be crying. Kelly runs over and hugs her Dad and Sharon doesn’t want a hug, but she does look moved. Bruno said he couldn’t believe his eyes and loved how she transformed into a vision of grace. Carrie Ann said Mom and Dad should be proud and she welcomed Louis back to the show, but she is docking them for the lift. Len thought it was the best Viennese Waltz of the night. Ozzy stood for that. Yeah! I am liking Kelly and Louis. Kelly is crying back stage and said that is the most fun she’s ever had in her life. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from the lift police for a total of 23.
Relay dances are up next. All the females that had ballroom will now have a Latin dance and vice versa. Let’s see Kelly get raunchy, shall we? First up are Debi, Natalie, Kathy, and Joanna. They are dancing the Foxtrot. 10 points for first place, 8 points for 2nd place, 6 points for 3rd place, and 4 points for last place. Remember they are competing for rank. First up is Natalie Coughlin and Alex Mazo and she looks great! She has nice toe point and glides nicely. Next is Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani and I think this dance suits her better, but her trick at the end did not fly. Joanna is next with some crazy hair and it seems like Latin is more her thing as she wasn’t as graceful. Debi Mazar and Maksim bring up the rear and Makim seems like he is carrying her like she can’t keep up at the beginning, but she finished nice and fast and ended with a lift. Legal lift? I don’t know? Carrie Ann pointed out the lift and said it was smart b/c she can’t take off points. She loved Joann and said she was elegant, sexy and hot. She thought Kathy looked like she was going to the Oscars, but that her footwork was too small for her height. She thought Natalie did excellent and Debi needed to tone back muscling Maks. Len thought Natalie danced it well and told Kathy to move it a little more. Joanna had a good mix of hold and breaking the hold. And complimented Maks on the hold. Bruno loved Natalie’s fluidity and wanted Kathy to come out a bit more. He said Joanna was still smoking and Debi is a great performer, but she needs to control her energy. Ranks are as follows: 4th place - Kathy and Tony, 3rd place - Debi and Maks, 2nd place - Natalie and Alec, and 1st place is Joanna and Derek.
Next relay dance consists of Macy, Kelly, Maya and Melissa Joan Hart dancing the Cha Cha Cha. I’m really anxious to see Kelly and Macy from this group. Starting first is Macy Gray and Jonathon Roberts. Her mouth is wide open. She is a bit awkward, but she is doing the moves. Melissa Jon and Mark are next and she is just too cute. She is REALLy good here and ended with a great trick. Maya and Dmitry are third and are quick. She looks the most natural and will probably get first. She’s too darn cute. Kelly and Louis are pulling up the rear. They are QUICK! She kept up just fine. Nice hips and missed a step at the end, but ended wonderfully. I think they will get second. Len said Macy’s busy schedule has caught up with her here, thought Melissa’s was higher level, loved Maya’s hips and content on the routine, and said Kelly produced 2 first class dances. Bruno said Macy had better timing, liked Melissa having fun, loved Maya’s footwork, and he can’t believe what Kelly is doing. Carrie Ann said Macy needs to work harder on capturing the essence of the cha cha, loves Melissa coming out of her shell, Maya said it was crisp but kick was flailing, loved Kelly. Hmm..maybe Kelly will get first place. Ranks are as follows: 4th place - Macy Gray and Jonathon Roberts, 3rd place - Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas, 2nd place - Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel, 1st place - Maya and Dmitry Chaplin.
So, out of the ladies I really like Kelly and Louis, Maya and Dmitry, Joanna and Derek, and Melissa and Mark. I think the women have the men beat! What do you think?
Remember, I haven’t watched the results yet so don’t give it away. shhh…. will blog about that tomorrow if I have time.
