We are almost to the finish line, who will win??? I don’t currently have a favorite, but I am leaning towards Kristi Yamaguchi-hopefully she does not get eliminated tonight! In the backstage outtakes they show Tom Bergeron congratulating Christian de la Fuente and saying he thought that he really “carried” Cheryl Burke. Love that Tom Bergeron. Marissa Jaret Winokur was annoying backstage again, I think she is going home tonight. That fact makes me a little sad because it is why this season is boring, like Alyssa said, it would be predictable. Who wants predictable in reality TV.

I’m just getting my first look at Samantha Harris’ dress. It’s horrible. It reminds me of the episode of Friends where Ross spills hummus on Phoebe’s dress and she covers it up with a big Christmas bow. I miss that show in an almost abnormal way.

Anywho, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas are doing their Tango for the encore dance, not my pick from last night but I was happy to see it again. Except I didn’t really see it because I was too busy writing about fond memories of Friends…sigh.

Some of the little tykes are back to compete. They show the kids having a pep rally at their schools. This is all disturbing. Kym Johnson comes to see them and talk to them about dancing. They are cute and excited to be on stage. I refuse to comment on their performance, because they are children. I can hardly watch.

Backstage with Samantha Harris and her attempts at interviewing. She asks Cristian de la Fuente a question that I can’t even decipher. Then she moves on to Jason Taylor, and gets cozy with him asking about his “bro-mance” with Cristian. Tom makes fun of her, I bet he despises her.

Big group dance doing Micheal Jackson. Thriller was the first album (cassette tape, actually) that I owned. This is a great song and I love the choreography is an homage to his genius. Despite all of his trouble, he was a genius. I loved Billie Jean the best, this dance is fabulous! I was hoping for more from the Thriller choreography, and maybe it was great but there were not enough full stage shots to tell.

Back to more kiddies. They are very cute, that is all I can say.

The 13 and under kids are up next. They are from Utah, ballroom must be popular in Utah. Their dance is very mature, too mature if you asked me. All the kids won a trip to Disneyland.

After a boring montage the first safe couple is Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas. No surprises here folks, keep moving. Also safe are Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. That leaves Marissa Jaret Winokur and Cristian de la Fuente. Would love a surprise DWTS…but no, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani are leaving. Sigh…

Who will dance the encore dance? I think it will be Cristian and Cheryl’s Samba, what do you think? Before we find out - we get a recap. I am fast forwarding it….I’m recapped out. Now I know what Cheryl’s dress looks like - it looks like someone had too much fun with foil that’s what.

We get some confessionals - Marissa actually asked for more leaps, but she missed the only one in the dance. She also said that they hope they make the finals, but if not they will be in the audience and her and Tony just laughed their heads off. Jason said he is high octane - referring to Len’s comment about he is like gas prices on the way up. Cristian didn’t mention anything worth typing. Kristi and Mark wants to come back next week to show off their mad freestyle skills - let’s hope they are better than the moves and faces they displayed in the confessional.

We will be subjected to the little kiddies who want to be adult dancers this week - I guess the finals or something of that. Then, backstage they have a bunch of people dressed in white and black for what, I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll find out and I will report it to you then. I am too lazy to fast forward by the way…so we’ll just have to wait to find out. And…we’re back after a wonderful Mole teaser. If you’ve never watched the Mole, you need to watch. It is the best reality show ever.

And yet another recap and more backstage confessionals. I guess we aren’t going to have an encore dance, are we? What happened to the encore dances this season? They’ve hardly had any - too many guest star appearances? Apparently Usher will be performing on the finale - woohoo - NOT! He better not sing Love in this Club or I just might puke. Ok, there is an encore dance and it is Kristi and Mark’s Tango. Hmmm..I’m stumped at why they picked this one. I mean yes, it was good, but oh well, whatev’! I’m just glad we get an encore dance. Oh and we get to see more of Samantha’s dress after the encore dance and ugh that hideious bow in the middle - it HAS to go. Otherwise the dress is ok.

Now, the teenie/kiddie boppers starting with the under 9 year olds. The first couple is very cute. I think I missed them when my DVR went down. Kym Johnson came in to their rehearsal and helped them out. No offense and I really shouldn’t talk, but Kym’s ass looks huge. hmmm. First up dancing the cha cha cha Aaron and Rashell dancing to “Please Mr. Postman“. Aaron is a little cutie wearing those bell bottom black pants that Maks wears all too beautifully. Compared to what I’ve seen before it was a little dullsville. We’ll see though. For crying out loud, they are kids so of course it was good - much better than what I can do. Carrie Ann referred to them as little munchkins and Len said their little bums were shakin’. LOL! Just had to share that. Oh and the group backstage wearing black/white are our very own Macy’s dancers - yep, we can never rid ourselves of those Macy’s dancers can we? Who knew Macy’s had their own dancers and what do these dancers do in the off season when DWTS is not on? That’s the question of the day. Now, commercial break…

We’re back starting off with a shameless Desperate Housewives plug with Dana Delaney in the audience. Just when did she become a housewife? She’s been in so many shows - let’s hope this one will last for her. Geez. Samantha and her bow is backstage with everyone. Marissa is thankful she is still in the competition. Samantha asks Cristian if it is just getting to the finals or about winning it? Well, what in the world do you think, Samantha? Are they just there to take up space? Samantha referred to Cristian’s and Jason’s relationship as a bro-mance. haha!

Macy’s dancers are up and came from the audience. They are dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” which I love. Ya know, “Mama-se, mama-sa, ma-ma-kos-sa. It is the same sound that Rihanna uses on “Please don’t stop the music”.
And now “Billie Jean” with a Michael Jackson wannabe dancer and a black sequined glove. I tell ya this show loves MJ songs. Now, “Thriller“, but they aren’t doing the thriller dance which I so love. Ok, now they are - woohoo. We couldn’t have Thriller without the Thriller dance now could we?

Our “little gremlins” are back - Jaryd and Cara. According to Cara, her life has changed since appearing on DWTS. Um, what life? At 10 years old - you have a life? Apparently Maks came to visit them and help out. He danced with Cara and it was sooo cute. They dance the Samba - she looks like a little Mrs. Claus in a little red and white dress. They are really good and cute. Tom asks for Cara’s autograph - it was cute. Carrie Ann is getting teary eyed b/c she wants to take them home and put them in her pocket. haha!

Next up is Brandon and Brittany - under 13 kiddies. Brandon’s baseball team has been asking about it b/c they want to be on TV. Sure. Now Ashly Delgrosso (former DWTS professional dancer) is in practice with them as she used to be their teacher. They dance the Paso Doble to the Phantom of the Opera Song. It is very crisp and precise. Nice with lots of tricks at the end - WOW! That was insane. Carrie Ann can’t catch her breath. We get to vote for the kiddies - so better get your vote on, peeps.

Dang, they are drawing this out to the bitter end. We still don’t know who is safe and apparently we will have to wait even longer as all kiddie couples are backstage with Sam and her bow. If you want to vote - here are the numbers 1-800-vote4-06 for Aaron and Rashell. Jaryd and Cara’s number is 1-800-vote4-07 and the number for Brandon and Brittany is 1-800-vote4-08. Cara and Rashell are holding hands - that is sooo cute. Samantha suprises the kiddos with news they are going to Disneyland. Good for them.

We get to the Final 4 go dramatic behind a chain link fence. Jason practices his moves behind the fence. Marissa is in a brick room and the other contestants remark about how she has the fans on her side. They remark about how Kristi has been a threat from the beginning - no news there. Cristian does his annoying “ha” that he did during the Paso Doble. Marissa wants the girls to take the boys down - yep, I’m kinda wanting that too. But, what that whole dramatic package boiled down to - everyone wants the trophy. Yep, we knew that already - nice filler though.

Ok, finally the results - what we’ve been waiting for. We get another recap verbally from Tom and Samantha. First saved couple - Kristi and Mark. Mark is super excited and lifts her up hugging her tight. Tony and Marissa are having a blast up there while the others look nervous and scared. Commercial break…

Next saved couple is Jason and Edyta. Edyta is super excited. That leaves us with Cristian and Cheryl and Marissa and Tony. I think we know that Marissa will be leaving and she seems prepared. And yes, they are leaving. The judges are on their feet and Marissa keeps saying “so close!” Tom made fun of Tony’s teeth sparkling even brighter this season with Marissa as his partner. We get a recap of her trials and great moments - from crying to pure joy. Marissa’s final words were for everyone to go out and do something fun - and shake what your Mama gave you. Tony just hugs her during their final dance. It was cute and a bit sad, but we’ll live.

Kristi Yamaguchi- the only woman goes head to head with Jason Taylor and Cristian de la Fuente next week in the finals. Will a woman pull it out this season - or will hotness take over the women’s votes? Will Cheryl have a 3-peat? Will Edyta take her first title in 6 seasons? Tune in next Monday for the Finals!

Let me start by saying that I agreed with Alyssa. This season is a little lackluster for me. I wish Adam Carolla were still on the show. At least he was fun!! I have high hopes for someone to really love next season!

As for this 100th episode, I am looking forward to it, at least a little bit. They start the show by picking their favorite dance of all five seasons. They choose Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff doing the Tango. DOes anyone else think they should have chosen a winner? Like Helio maybe??? It was a very good dance, but the best? I think that has an awful lot to do with Mario being on the show tonight.

I think they have all of the pro’s dancing in a big group dance at the opening. It looks good and it is always nice to see some of the old faces. Karina does an amazing and slightly scary lift, wow. Lots of DWTS alumni in the audience, including Jerry Springer and Mark Cuban-fun times.

Recap time. Mario & Karina Smirnoff are funny. Marissa Jaret Winokur is annoying. Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas are cute and as sportsmanlike as we have come to expect. Jason Taylor and Eydta Sliwinska are equally classy. I think I am beginning to agree with the critics that Cristian de la Fuente is faking his injury a bit.

Performance time with Rascal Flats and Julianne Hough and Apollo Ohno. This should be interesting. It always amazes me that such big names are willing to be on this show, if you follow country music at all you know that Rascal Flats is pretty big stuff. I supposed that it does not hurt aspiring country star Julianne Hough to be associated with them. She and Apollo’s dance is swell.

Tom Bergeron brings us back from the break by interviewing the former cast members in the audience. He interviews Lisa Rinna, yep she is nuts. The rest of the gang plugged their respective projects.

Carrie Anne Inaba is wearing a truly horrible dress tonight. It looks like she put on her 1987 prom gown, yuck. Oooh, Helio Castroneves interview…sigh, I miss him, my lover!

Mario Lopez and the ‘A Chorus Line” cast are up next. This is a great play. I can’t imagine how badly Mario Lopez-who honestly could not act his way out of a paper bag- would ruin it for me. I can’t comment on it any further, too sad.

Rascal Flats are back with their remake of “Life is a Highway” and Mel B. & Maksim Chmerkovskiy performing. They dancers get a thunderous applause. They are also swell, not as swell as Julianne & Apollo, but swell none the less. Kelly Monaco says that she wants Kristi Yamaguchi to win, but Apollo says either her or Jason Taylor. Ooh, there is some Drew Lachey for Alyssa! He thinks Cristian will win, I seriously doubt that. We get to see Mario Osmond faint again, fun times.

I think we are about done with the talent for the evening, so hopefully we will get to the elimination soon, very soon, I’m tired. Finally, after a montage that I am too tired to write about, let’s just say it was DWTS predictable, the first safe couple is Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani and Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas. Tom Bergeron has to shoo them backstage for their Samantha Harris interview, pretty funny Tom-I almost love you as much as Helio.

As Samantha Harris interview Kristi & Mark, he holds her in the prom picture pose. You know the one with the guys hand around your waist, but holding the top of your hand so that the guy is not actually touching the gals hip. Odd.

Next safe couple is Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke. The last safe couple is Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska, which means we say good bye to Mario & Karina Smirnoff. Is anyone surprised? I’m not.

Dancing with the Stars 100th Episode

Dancers from all seasons are on tonight. Woohoo! That means Apolo and Julianne are going to dance together again. Who would have thought? Not me! Love those two. Is Helio here tonight? He’s in Indy practicing for the Indy 500 so we’ll see if he made the trip to dance with Julianne again.

We start off with a group dance to “Hard to Handle” by the Black Crowes and yes, we have some professionals back - Alex Mazo, Fabian Sanchez, Louis Van Amstel, Jonathon Roberts along with Ashley Delgrosso, Kym Johnson, Cheryl Burke, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Derek Hough and let’s not forget Maksim Chmerkovskiy - yes the hottie is in da house! Anddddd..another recap. I am recapped out, man.

Backstage confessionals

Mario loves ballroom dancing, but not enough to go pro. He says Len’s comments are tough to take, but they make them better. Nice - always positive. Marissa said her New York New York number felt like broadway and was happy. Marissa doesn’t get Len’s more raunch comments b/c it is coming from Len. Who knew? Kristi breathed a sigh of relief after her first dance and said they had fun on the 2nd dance and that she really loves her dress. Jason and Edyta didn’t say much worth mentioning. Cristian and Cheryl were excited about his 1-armed 10. Jason is backstage wrapping his arm calling Cristian “his man” - how sweet! Cheryl mentioned his Latino passion and Cristian said “and your Fillipino passion” and Cheryl just laughs.

We see Apolo and Julianne backstage looking cute as ever and Mel B. and Maksim back again too. Sabrina Bryan recounts her must exciting DWTS moment which was Emmitt Smith dancing the Hammer Dance with Cheryl. Ahhh, the memories.

Btw, my screen is tainted with Vote 2008 results scrolling and then they have to take it up with ABC promos so I can barely see anything - ok, I can see some, but wish this stuff wasn’t taking up my screen. Samantha is backstage stammering and stuttering talking about the possibilities of going home and she cuts off Jason - why ask them questions if you are gonna cut em off? Kristi has her nasty hair on again - it is her real hair, but the ugly hair is back - ugh. I see Wayne Newton in the audience as well as Sabrina Bryan, Ian Ziering, Drew Lachey and more, but Tom is in the way so I can’t see them all.

Rascal Flatts is singing right now. I think the song is called Every Day. They are country so I typically don’t like country, but I do like some of their songs b/c they just getcha where it hurts. Guess who comes out on the floor? - Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough - the crowd goes nuts. Awwww - I love this. I bet the Apolo/Julianne lovers will love this - they get close - REAL CLOSE like on top of each other. They did an outrageous death spiral. It was amazing - they just glided across the floor and they have tons of lifts - he is one strong speed skater. Gawd, I love this - this is what is missing from this season. I couldn’t put it into words until now - THIS IS WHAT WE ARE MISSING! I have tears in my eyes - I love these two. They really looked like a couple - the chemistry was amazing. WOW!

Lissa Rinna’s most memorable moment is Kelly Monaco’s wardrobe malfunction when her top “boinged” right off. LOL! Yeah, that was a good moment in season 1. Tom is standing next to Leeza Gibbons. I see Joey Lawrence and Jane Seymour sitting there too. Stacy Keibler is interviewed by Tom something about a George Hamilton restraining order. LOL! Lisa Rinna is interviewed and her lips are all weird - Botox anyone? She says she still dances with Louis and promotes their classes. Jerry Springer is asked what has stayed with him since he left the ballroom - he mentions his hip still hurting and sleeping through the night. Vivica A. Fox is all dressed in animal print and she’s retired her stillettos. Joey Fatone is still bitter about Apolo taking the crown, but happy he got a job out of it. Kenny Mayne promotes his book - he’s sooooo funny. Sabrina Bryan is next, but Kenny took all her time. Shannon Elizabeth was sitting next to Sabrina.

Oh lord, another recap - geez - how many are we gonna have to sit through? Len said someone will be gutted having to leave this week and said Mario, Jason, and Marissa could be in trouble - well duh, that was obvious.

Helio Castroneves most memorable moment is his friend Apolo Anton Ohno’s Paso Doble with Julianne - he was impressed and made him want to do Dancing with the Stars. Yep, we love anything Apolo did.

Season 3 Runner Up, Mario Lopez and the cast of a Chorus Line are on now and he’s in the middle dancing with all these women in leotards. Here come some men in long pant leotards. Luckily Mario is wearing regular clothes. I don’t think I could have taken seeing him in a leotard too. They do the actual chorus line all in a line singing with hats all in sync. Niiice! I think Mario is lip syncing as is everyone else. Can Mario sing? I don’t think so, but what do I know? He did look great though just like he belonged. And Macy’s had to get their props in as the sponsor.

Get a little news break stating that Hilary Clinton is leading in Indiana - blah blah blah. We’re back to DWTS and Rascal Flatts is back singing Life is a Highway. Maksim and Mel B. will be dancing to this. I can’t say I like the country version of this song. Here they come and the crowd roars. She does the walking splits across the floor which the crowd loves and so do I. I thought this was supposed to be NEW routines - this is their old routine. She falls into his arms at the end and kisses him 4 times on the lips - just small pecks. Tom says Mel and Maks are his favorite M&M’s..how cute.

Samantha is backstage with 3 winners: Kelly Monaco, Apolo Anton Ohno and Drew Lachey. Kelly is rooting for Kristi - another woman. Apolo is rooting for an athlete and wants Jason or Kristi to win and Drew is rooting for Cristian - and Samantha asks if is just b/c Cheryl was his partner. LOL! Tom refers to Drew as having delusional personality b/c he always has to root for Cheryl.

Drew’s most memorable moment is Marie Osmond fainting. Speaking of Marie Osmond - I’m surprised she isn’t in the audience trying to get 15 more minutes of Dancing fame. We’re back from commercial and we see Harry Hamlin is also in the audience sitting by his wife, Lisa Rinna.

We are now learning from past history. Kristi Yamaguchi says she can learn the most from Joey Fatone for his master showmanship. Marissa is channeling her inner Mel B. talking about her confidence and fierceness. Mario says he relates to Mario Lopez b/c he danced with Karina Smirnoff. He talked about his skills, personality and moves and that he “wanted” to take it to the next level. Mario says he will take it to the next level. Jason talks about Emmitt Smith and how he made it cool to dance. Jason wants to find his own style like Emmitt did. Cristian relates most to Helio Castroneves because they have the latin connection - he also has the element of suprise. All stated it is a tough time now and they all have to bring their A game…b/c next week is semi-finals. Geez, already? I feel like we are just getting started.

We’re now getting down to business - first 2 saved couples are Marissa Winokur and Tony Dovolani. OMG SHOCKER! Tony is ecstatic and Marissa screamed. Karina Smirnoff looks worried. Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas are also safe. He picks her up and twirls her around as they hug. Karina is a bad sport - she just rolled her eyes. Miss attitude is what she needs to be called. Is she tired of Marissa’s spunky personality? Looks like we have 2 females in the semi-finals. Woohoo!

Kelly Monaco’s most shocking moment was when Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas were eliminated. She stating that Dancing With the Stars is the most unpredictable show on TV. Well, I wouldn’t go that far, Kelly.

We’re back after election results again - and Karina is rolling those eyes again. Edyta looks scared and so does Cheryl. Cristian and Cheryl are SAFE! She is excited and jumps in his arms where he spins her around with one arm.

Bottom 2 tonight (not the bottom 2 scores necassarily) - are Mario and Karina Smirnoff and Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. Leaving tonight is Mario and Karina Smirnoff. Poor Mario - he had the spunk and the energy. Mario thanked Len stating he has made him a better ballroom dancer. He also mentioned the brave men and women overseas fighting for our country.

Well, the semi-finals will see Marissa Jaret Winokur, Kristi Yamaguchi, Jason Taylor, and Cristian de la Fuente compete against each other. Will a female take the mirror ball trophy this time? We’ll see. All I know is this Mirrorball Trophy winner could be anyone - yes, anyone this time. In the past, there has been a clearcut favorite, but every single person this season has faultered some more than others. It will be a surprise ending that is for sure.

Def Leppard. Def Leppard. Def Leppard. Def Leppard!!! I am very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh good, Cristian de la Fuente is back tonight, I was a little concerned. I wonder if he and Cheryl Burke will get to do an encore of their messed up dance so that we can see the whole thing. I have to say that I think it shows great sportsmanship that Kristi Yamaguchi took her low scores in stride, unlike Ms. Elizabeth the whiner. They are still apologizing…they are actually begging for forgiveness at this point. More recap footage of poor Cristian looking pained. Shannon talked about all of the fake prosthetics she wore for the Latin round, I think she has a fake personality. Oooh, Samantha Harris looks super sultry tonight in a chocolate colored dress and tousled hair do, roar.

Oh good, the encore dance is Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska’s Quickstep, looks like both Alyssa and I were right on that one!! Wow, I guess DWTS is throwing safety to the wind, they are going to allow one lift, within the context of each dance, next week. Impressive change in the rules!

First safe couple is Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas. Up next is Kenny Mayne & Jerry Rice doing Dance Center, I’m glad they are finally back. Len Goodman is joining Mayne and Rice, great! Wow, Kenny Mayne is wearing crazy make-up and Jerry Rice is wearing glitter. I love that Kenny introduced Len as “the old judge.” Kenny called Mario, Mario McCheese. Kenny told Shannon & Derek to get a room, then called Shannon Elizabeth lazy, so funny. He said Cristian de la Fuente flies the only plane in the Chilean Air Force, then he cut Len off mid-sentence. They could do a whole show of just Kenny Mayne, I guess he has a book out but I did not catch the title.

Yes! Def Leppard is doing “Pour Some Sugar On Me” I need a moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOO HOOO, I feel like throwing my bra at the TV!!!There’s some dancing, it’s good…I love Def Leppard. That was worth sitting through all of these way too long results shows!!!

Samantha Harris interviews Edyta & Jason and Kristi & mark backstage. I am beginning to like Kristi, she is quite the sportsman and really positive all the time, love that.

Back with Dance Center. Kenny refers to Kristi as “the Yam” and Jerry Rice calls her Kristi Yama-hoochie, wow. Kenny Mayne calls her the loudest competitor, maybe in the history of television, I concur. On to Jason Taylor, saying his college nickname was big baldie. They show a clip of Jason passing gas in rehearsal and then add it to a performance, very clever. Tom Bergeron is near tears from laughter when they cut back to him!

Next safe couple is Mario & Karina Smirnoff. I’m going to make a prediction here that we are being tricked. I think Cristian is unable to finish the competition, so in the end he is going to be eliminated for that reason, like when Sara Evans jumped ship a few seasons ago. They are not telling us though, so we will stay tuned for the full hour.

Def Leppard is back performing their new song “Nine.” This makes me very happy. Some random dancers are performing, they are ok. I am enjoying this new song a great deal.

Next they do a montage about how the celebrities learn the dances. They set it against the ticking clock from 24. Sigh…I miss 24. This is one of the first times we see the on stage rehearsals. I did not know that the other couples got to watch, that would be stressful.

Tom Bergeron says something about the trajectory of the show changing moments before they went on air…I think I made the call on this one. They left four couples standing and said one was leaving tonight, but they did not say voted off-we’ll see!!

Tom asks Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke to come down and talk about his injury. Cristian says he ruptured a tendon. He tells us that he needs surgery to put it back together, but that he can continue to compete if he is voted to stay on!! I was wrong!! I hate it when that happens, but I am glad the next couple will get voted off fairly, and I hope it is Shannon Elizabeth!! Cristian & Cheryl are safe!

Bottom two are Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani and Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough. Who knew I would hope Marissa was safe!! Yay!! Shannon & Derek are out of here!!! I’m glad because she turned out to be such sour grapes. I knew the nasty attitude would come back to haunt them. Shannon is all weepy, figures.

Week 7 Results Show Recap

By: Alyssa

We get to see the drama unfold that is last night. Of course they played up Cristian’s injury - showing him on the stretcher, the ambulance, the drama with Kristi Yamaguchi being in 4th place, Jason Taylor taking the top, Shannon spralled out on the judges table, etc. Samantha Harris called it the most dramatic night of the season. We are now watching recaps of last night - aka filler.

We see Marissa and Tony’s dance and Len calling it her best dance. Tony Dovolani is jumping up and down acting like Marissa did in week 1. Wow it has really rubbed off on him. Marissa is now more tame and it has transferred to Tony.

Kristi in the confessional just spun it all positive - something about trying her best and that is all she can ask for. She is so PC (Politically Correct). Again, Shannon and Derek in their confessional went on and on about making a mistake last week with their tongue and yada yada yada. My fiance just asked “when are they gonna stop playing that” and I replied with - they’re not replaying it, they keep saying it week after week. LOL!

Now latin round recap - Marissa said her sexuality was on the line with the Rumba and Tony said she was so sexy out there and she sort of blushes. Next Cristian’s recap of his fall and pulled muscle. Cheryl heard something crack and thought it was her dress and said something about something being dislocated from his arm. UGH! I rewound it and didn’t get what she said. Tony said he hoped it was a muscle cramp and Marissa being the damper said she doesn’t think it is. We see the fight between Bruno and Len after Kristi’s cha cha cha - and again PC Kristi said there’s so many personalities out there and you can’t please everyone - ugh…Mario and Karina were happy about their Mambo and Mario attributed to the music. Yeah, right. Shannon said she has a fake bum, fake boobie pads, fake hair, but she does have real nails with real polish. LOL! Jason had a hard time talking about his Paso because of the ordeal with Cristian. He dedicated the Paso to Cristian.

I’m thinking out loud here and I’m thinking Cristian will the one eliminated simply because his arm is so bad he can’t compete. They will build it all up and it will just end up him leaving because of the injury. Of course I am typing this in real time so we’ll see if I am right.

The encore dance belongs to Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska’s Quickstep. This reminds me of Helio’s Quickstep - the music and how much I loved it. He did it better this time except for the handstand at the end and he didn’t throw any paper. Now we see another recap with where the contestants fell on the leaderboard - along with more confessionals. Marissa had a funny about getting 3 9’s without her big hair and then she rubbed her chin. Tony giggled like a school girl. It was kind of cute.

Len is sharing with the stars about the boundaries on lifts - Len said next week they can do one lift that must be in character with the dance they are doing. Looks like the stars are happy and Jason even starts lifting Edyta. Tom said - “Not Now, Jason, Good God!” I laughed out loud on that.

First couple saved is Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas. And, we go to commercial. Tom reminds us of Def Leppard and Kenny Mayne/Jerry Rice Dance Center coming up. Yayy..can’t wait.

Here we go with the Dance Center Skit. Len Goodman is also sitting in. Jerry has glitter eye shadow and Kenny has glitter going off the side of his face. Sooo hilarious. Len said Mario needs more finesse in order to win. Kenny says one thing he doesn’t need to do is kiss up to the judges and he called Mario’s taped bit embarrassing as Mario sings to Carrie Ann. Up next to roast is Shannon Elizabeth. Kenny told them to get a room after Len says they’ve got great chemistry. We then see Shannon hitting Derek in the “man area” and I have no idea why. They then show her sitting down on the floor and Kenny writes Lazy across her with the white pen. Cristian is next. Len goes on and on and Kenny stops him saying “that’s enough Len.” LOL! I LOVE KENNY!

Def Leppard is singing “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and my fiance thinks they are lip syncing. I disagree, but I could be wrong here. It really sounds like the CD. We have Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Cheryl Burke, Tony Dovolani, Mark Ballas, and Louis Van Amstel in black leather. I think they are doing the Paso Doble. Funny how they are doing ballroom to hard rockin’ Def Leppard. Hmm..I’m still pondering the lip syncing as there certainly is lots of smoke and fire. What do you all think? Was Def Leppard Lip Syncing to “Pour Some Sugar On Me”? Leave a comment. Oh and who are those 2 others in Def Leppard? I know the lead singer, bass player and drummer, but the 2 others? Are they from back in the day? I will have to research and get back to ya or leave a comment if you know.

Samantha is backstage with Kristi/Mark and Jason/Edyta. Kristi basically said it was bound to happen referring to her dropping from the top spot. And Jason thanked Kristi for allowing them to have the headlines this week. LOL!

Back to Dance Center - Kristi is up and Kenny says she is nicknamed “The Yam” LOL! Kenny calls it an unfair advantage and Len interrupts says “not unfair” and Kenny says “Len I’m talkin’” LOL! Then we cut to Jerry and he says “Kristi YamaHOOCHIE!” I just about died laughing. Kenny points out Mark’s weird faces just as I did earlier and Len said those faces will frighten the children. I can’t stop laughing. Marissa is being roasted and Len is going on and on about her energy and charisma. Jerry points out Tony’s white teeth and he circles it with the white pen. haha! Jason Taylor’s college nickname was “big baldy”. Jerry thinks he can go all the way. Len says Jason’s downfalls are that he repeats the same move in every dance and they show a clip of him doing the move. Kenny said he has a flatulence problem and we see a clip of him farting in rehearsal in front of Edyta. Then Kenny shows him dancing with fart noises coming out the entire time. Jerry says he can still smell something up there and Len said he thought it was Carrie Ann. Gawd, I am just dying here laughing so hard. Tom is laughing too and can’t seem to pull it together.

Next couple saved is Mario and Karina. Hmmm…Bottom 2 might be Shannon and Derek and Cristian and Cheryl. Although Marissa and Jason are still left to be saved. We’ll see if they are.

Def Leppard is back and singing a song I don’t know. For all you newbies out there - the drummer has only one arm due to a car crash the happened in either the 70’s or 80’s. He uses his feet to do all the things his missing arm should be doing. Pretty phenomenal, eh? We have 2 no-names dancing and I’m not really paying attention. I was googling how to spell “phenomenal” - I’m still not sure it is correct. I believe the song “Def” just sang was called 9 Lives, but I could be wrong. Tom ends it with “the ballroom sounds of Def Leppard” LOL!

Now a taped package about how they deal with their hectic schedule. Kristi says on Wednesday they just crash. Shannon starts her frustrations and negativity over by learning a new dance. Jason gets on Edyta because she keeps calling things easy. We see Cheryl getting on Cristian with frustration. Sunday is camera blocking so that the director knows where to place the camera so we can see them on TV. Everyone is out there watching so they know who their competition is. We get to see “nerves Monday” where everyone gets nervous and frantic. And we are back…Tom says the show has changed minute by minute making me think that Cristian is not able to continue. We’ll see.

Edyta looks scared to death like she is going to be eliminated. Shannon is all nervous smiles and Derek is holding her tight. Tom tricks us thinking that he will reveal the next saved couple and we go to commercial. As they keep showing us Cristian and Cheryl, I keep looking at his arm trying to see any type of tape or it being wrapped, etc and I just can’t tell. Hmmm.

Tom asks Cristian and Cheryl to come down to talk. He says that right when they started and she fell back, that was when he injured it. Cristian got an MRI a few hours ago and the diagnosis - the tendon is ruptured and needs surgery to put it back together. Cristian just talked to the doctor a few minutes ago and the doctor said he can delay the surgery. Cristian wants to stay in the competition if the viewers voted them in. Awww. Tom asks about the risk and Cristian references a deaf woman who took the risk every week and he would like to stay if given the chance.

Next saved couple - Cristian and Cheryl. How sweet. Cheryl is ecstatic. First couple in the bottom two is Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani. Next saved couple is Jason and Edyta. Edyta is overjoyed and jumped up. Shannon and Derek are in the bottom 2 along with Marissa and Tony.

The couple eliminated this week is Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough. I guess their rude comments last week did them in. I believe it really did. Shannon is teary eyed and said she learned a lot and has made a life long friend in Derek and the other contestants. Derek says he is proud of her and hates to see her go. He also called her a big dork. Shannon hugs him tight during their last dance and she cries. Derek’s bandmate, Mark Ballas is the first one to come up and hug them. Sad, but I think it was their time to go. We will miss them or shall I say I will miss them. Bridget won’t so much - she’ll be glad I’m sure.

Well the big story next week will be whether Cristian can compete effectively or not. We’ll see.

Oh no, the gang is in their western getup again. I guess this means that the encore dance is the group dance, swell. Backstage we see more of Marissa Jaret Winokur being annoying, her giddiness must be contagious because Tony Dovolani caught it. Shannon Elizabeth is crying again backstage, she is beginning to annoy me more than Marissa. I am also annoyed at Derek Hough calling out other dancers mistakes, he is a bit of a sore loser. Yep, they are doing the group dance again, yawn.

Ashlee Simpson is “singing”, it makes my ears ache. She is unbelievably horrible. Wasn’t she supposed to be grungy punk girl? When did she get all sleazy like her sister. There is some dancing going on, I don’t know who it is. I guess it is cute, I can’t get past the horrible music.

Ooh we are doing the first safe and the first bottom two right now. Crap, Shannon & Derek are safe, she was really beginning to annoy me. In the bottom two are Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez, that is very sad.

We’re back with Samantha interviewing the two couples. Luckily, Shannon & Derek apologized for acting like jerks last night. It was hard to take them seriously because Derek had kiss marks all over his face. Oh dear, more Riverdance, didn’t we do this once this season already? Sorry, I just don’t get it.

The next segment is about kid dancers again. At least these kids are thirteen, the girl is deaf in one ear which is a big challenge and no doubt will get her some hugs from Marlee Matlin. The boy wants to play professional baseball when he grows up, interesting. They are good, I still refuse to critique kids, even tweens. The second couple is really cute, she is much taller than him and looks older even though she is not. They were also very good. Now we get to destroy an already fragile tween ego by ousted one of these helpless kid couples. Brandon & Brittany, the couple with the deaf in one ear girl are the winners.

Next there is a montage about the judges. It is pretty interesting to see it from their eyes. They do have a tough job and they are doing it all unscripted. Carrie says she has two husbands, Len & Bruno, and both of them are crazy!! Next safe couples are Marissa Jaret Winokr & Tony Dovolani and Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke. Samantha Harris interviews the two couples backstage, everyone is very excited. What’s going on with Tony Dovolani’s hair this season? It looks all fluffy and weird, like he just rolled out of bed. Oh yeah, and Samantha Harris is a terrible host.

Ok, so the next safe couples are Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas and Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska which leaves Mario and Karina Smirnoff also in the bottom two. Out this week is Marlee Matlin & Fabian Sanchez. This is actually pretty sad. Everyone is standing and applauding her. Marlee Matlin is eloquent and sweet as she thanks everyone including Fabian. Tom tells her, as a friend, how proud he is of her…I bet my mom is bawling her eyes out.

By the way everyone is dressed, we will be treated to the encore dance of the hoedown - group dance. I bet Bridget is throwing up in her mouth right about now. I want to watch it again so I can keep an eye on Shannon not knowing what to do. That has been the consensus on the internet. Going back to this - Shannon knew what she was doing tonight. I guess doing it a second time live helped. Jason and Edyta didn’t do too well and finished well behind the others when it should have been in tandum. Oh well - we’ll forgive ya.

Before that, we get to see backstage confessionals - Marissa was annoying excited by her 9 from Carrie Ann. Cristian says it feels good to get a 9 - this is how Kristi feels every week. LOL! Mario and Karina sang in their confessional about their “2 9’s and a 10 and they’re gonna do it again.” Marlee Matlin said she did better in rehearsal and she tried to do the best she could. Shannon Elizabeth was crying saying she was doing the hips. Derek says what about the “heel leads, etc. etc. of the other couples out there (dance terms I don’t know what he was talking about) and they are getting 9’s and 10’s”. The crowd gasped at that. Wooooo getting defensive aren’t we, Derek. It’s ok - we see the passion, but perhaps he is getting blinded by his love for Shannon? Jason Taylor talked about having fun and the rest will work out. Kristi and Mark said that was the most fun they’ve had on the dance floor.

We are now treated to Ashlee Simpson or subjected to as Bridget might think. I don’t have an opinion yet, but I might after she is finished. Some unknown dancers are dancing to her song called “Boys” I think is the name of the song. By the way, Ashlee Simpson is preggers and just got engaged. The engagement came after the pregnancy news if it makes any difference. One of the dancers looks like Carrie Ann Inaba’s real life boyfriend from So You Think You Can Dance - Artem is his name. I can’t tell for sure because of his hat and I’m too lazy to rewind to see if Tom says his name. Ashlee’s song was pretty annoying so I think we were subjected to it rather than treated.

We see more from Shannon bawling - and Derek calls her honey - saying the score wasn’t that bad - she said it wasn’t the score it was the critique. It was a little lover’s spat. Cristian says some spanish and all Cheryl can say is “si” - she needs to stop that - annoying. Marlee says she might not be back next week. Mario and Karina were still singing…ugh! But, they got it wrong - Karina was saying 2 10’s and they only got 1. That stopped the singing.

First couple saved tonight was Shannon and Derek - Tom said it is time for happy tears. Yayyy I am so glad they are saved - I voted for them lots because I want to see the romance continue and her get better on the dance floor Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez are in the bottom 2 - no surprise there.

Samantha interviews Marlee asking how she will do with 2 dances next week if she is back- she says she will stay positive and blah blah blah. Sorry, but I don’t think she’ll be back and it is just as well. Two dances will be very difficult for anyone, but especially so for her. Shannon Elizabeth said they got heated last night and apologized for last night’s comments (referring to the remarks in the confessional that had the audience gasping and kind of booing) and they explained it off as passion - for what they are doing. Samantha had a pun about seeing the passion in which she refers to kisses of red lipstick all over Derek’s face planted obviously. When Samantha said that about “seeing the passion” Shannon gets embarassed and walks off trying to avoid the questions.

Now riverdance is going on and I wish I was behind on my DVR so I could fast forward, but unfortunately I am not. Ugh! I don’t like this stuff. The music is very annoying and I am so glad that is over. I am just not into that.

Now we see some “kids” dance. These kids are older so that is better. One girl is deaf in her right ear - wow - you go girl. They were actually very good after they got over the initial goof at the very beginning. The girl got pushed a little too hard and fell off balance a bit, but she got right back on track. They were really good and I am impressed. Judges love it. Next couple of “kids” are 12 years old and the boy is really tiny compared to the girl. He talked about getting all the girls or something at school because of ballroom dancing. They dance the Samba. They kind of fall at the end, but all is well - the music ended. My fiance said wayyy before they started “they’ll fall.” and well they did just that. He reminded me that he told me so. LOL! Sooo funny how he predicts those things. The judges has nothing but positives to say. They end up choosing the first couple to come back - easy choice in my opinion.

We see a package on the judges and what they feel. Carrie Ann she gets nervous right before they perform. Len says the pressure starts when the band kicks in. Bruno says his mind goes into judging form - how is the intro, etc. We see them taking notes. Len says he writes without looking down. Carrie Ann she writes lots of notes and sometimes hears Len grunt and that signals her that she just missed something. Len says sometimes he has regrets about the scores he gives. Carrie Ann said she sometimes feels she scores too high, but not often. Bruno said it is ultimately up to the people - it is in our hands.

Marissa and Tony are saved next as are Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke. They go backstage with Samantha and apparently Cristian and Cheryl are too overwhelmed and can’t get anything out. Samantha doesn’t quite like that. So, she moves on to Marissa and Tony and she asks them who they think will be in the bottom two with Marlee and Fabian. Of course they don’t answer it and are politically correct about it. Samantha tries to get more from Cristian, but calls them hopeless. She tries to give it back to Tom, but unfortunately Tom wasn’t there - so she looked at her cards trying to grasp for something. She opted for a little recap of who is in the bottom 2, etc. LOL! Way to ad-lib Samantha.

Mario and Karina are in the bottom 2 - shocker. Leaving tonight is Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez. It is just as well. You did well while you were here, Marlee, but in the end you were just out of your league.

Back for another results show with James Blunt performing, terribly exciting. It is funny that Samantha Harris referred to it as, “another action packed results show.” Action packed?? Not so much action packed, but usually fun no less. The backstage stuff with Marlee Matlin crying and apologizing makes me very sad. I don’t feel as bad for Shannon Elizabeth and her tears. We get to see Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas perform again, it is honestly about time for them-they deserve it.

Backstage Samantha Harris interviews Shannon Elizabeth and Marlee Matlin. Shannon makes excuses and tries to hold back the tears. Marlee Matlin makes jokes and does not make excuses, she shows an awful lot more dignity than Ms. Elizabeth. Someone named Oza Motley or something is performing, I don’t know who they are but I am liking the sound. Tom Bergeron said pretty much all of the professionals were going to dance to this and they come out with lots of Latin flair. This whole thing is swell, for a group number that is!!

First safe couple, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas, do you think they were nervous because the last two encore dancers have been ousted? Doubt it. Ooh, Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke are in the bottom two, uh oh!

More children on parade trying to act like adults, and you thought those zany polygamists in Texas were tough on kids! The kiddies, Dimitri and Michelle are doing the jive. Listen, I’m all for kids doing extra curricular stuff, but to compete at this kind of level, I’m just not sure kids need to deal with that kind of pressure. I have a very hard time watching this. Jeryd and Cara, equally cute kids are doing the cha cha cha. That’s all I am going to say about it. Jeryd & Cara will be back again.

Next safe couple, wait no-the teleprompter jumped ahead and Tom had to back track, he is playing it off in a very funny way. They do a montage about pre show jitters. Mario uses it as an excuse to show his muscles and Derek to plug his musical career.

Next safe couple is Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. Also, not terribly surprising.

James Blunt performs. I don’t get this guy, I guess he is an ok singer and all that but it is just not my style. The dancing is fabulous, love seeing all of the crazy lifts! Also safe are Mario & Karina Smirnoff and Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani.

Also safe are Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough and Marlee Matlin & Fabian Sanchez. That leaves Priscilla Presley & Louis Van Amstel in the bottom two with Cristian & Cheryl. So who does America like better, the Latin lover or the King’s wife???? I guess we like to Latin lover more because Priscilla & Louis have to say good bye, I feel bad for the old cougar!

We’ll get to see if Priscilla Presley is doomed tonight. I have a feeling that she is, but Marlee Matlin could be in trouble too. Could they be the bottom 2 tonight? We’ll see.

We get to see the backstage confessionals. Marlee Matlin was devastated while Fabian said he wasn’t disappointed in her. Chery Burke and Cristian de la Fuente said they couldn’t get any sexier without it having to turn into Dancing with the Stars After Dark. Shannon Elizabeth was visibly upset saying she couldn’t do it any better. Priscilla Presley talked about her missed turn again and they show us what she meant and it was obvious. Marissa and Tony were elated and she couldn’t stop the tears of joy. Mario was excited about his score and said if he got all 10’s he’d weep. LOL!

I was suprised that Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani weren’t asked to dance the encore dance. Sure, Kristi Yamaguchi was good, but I thought Marissa was better. Oh well - Marissa will be featured here at www.starsdancingontv.com in the upper right hand corner.

Shannon Elizabeth and Marlee Matlin was backstage with Samantha. Shannon Elizabeth said she felt she did her best and she was visibly disappointed. Marlee Matlin said she’d strangle Samantha if she were to leave - LOL! But then changed it to Tom. Marlee said she’d leave here with pride if she were to leave, but hope she can stay and said she’d learn from this and do better next time. Tom said “Marlee Matlin, she threatens murder and you applaud her. LOL!

Ok, now we are “treated’ to some type of street wannabe marching band? They play some Mexican music and I bet my Mom is just dying. As the band plays we see Edyta Sliwinksa, Anna Trebunskaya, Kym Johnson, Karina Smirnoff as well as Derek Hough, Louis Van Amstel, Jonathon Roberts and Fabian Sanchez dance which was the highlight of the whole thing for me. We now get to see a recap and more confessionals. Marlee said hers sucked. Priscilla said she needs more than a glass of wine after that performance. Shannon said we got 23, I hope we don’t go home while in tears. Marissa asked “can we make out?” while Tony laughed. Mario screamed 27 while Karina shouted ‘poopie’ over and over again. Mark and Kristi rapped Yamalicious, but Mark had problems spelling it. They were singing it to Fergie’s Fergalicious.

The first couple saved was Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - not a big shocker at all. The first couple in the bottom 2 was Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke. DANG! That’s a shocker.

We’re back from commercial and are treated to kids. I didn’t watch last weeks results show so I’m not sure what this is - some type of kid’s competition. Kind of cute, but kind of disturbing. Did you hear these kids talk? They sound like little adults - they said they don’t blame each other and they win and lose as a couple. Hmmmm. I’m weirded out. The first pair of 10 year olds danced the jive and they were really good. They get judged by the judges rather softly I must say, but that is how kids need to be judged. The next kids couple is 8 and 10 years old. They dance the cha cha cha and rather fastly. I swear they look like mini adults out there. It’s just craziness.

I have to say this and poke fun as Samantha asked one of the pair of the little tykes how many episodes they have saved on their “tape recorder” huh? Tape recorder? I know what  tape recorder is because I was born in the late 70’s, but those little tykes don’t. You’re weird, Samantha - not a good ab libber, but she does look stunning in violet tonight. She does have her looks going for her that is for sure.

Tom started to reveal another saved couple, but the teleprompter was way ahead - and he caught it and was going off on the teleprompter operator - LOL! It was a funny, unplanned event. After all the teleprompter business we see a taped package of what the contestants do behind the scenes before a show. On show day, Marissa says she gets really excited and she goes to her trailer to calm down. Um, when aren’t you excited, Marissa? Priscilla goes into her trailer and does Yoga while she visualizes every step of the dance. Guess you didn’t visualize that missed turn, huh Priscilla? Mario does exercises. Shannon gets nervous an hour before they go live so Derek plays the guitar and sings for her. 1 2 3 AWWWW! Marlee Matlin likes being with her kids before a show. Kristi Yamaguchi finds a quiet corner and mentally prepares which is what she did before her ice skating events. Jason Taylor says he has extra time because he doesn’t have to get his hair done, ya know, because he’s bald. We see him outside throwing around the football with Cristian de la Fuente. I liked this package - always like the behind the scenes stuff.

Next couple saved is Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska. And now an extra long commercial break. Grammy nominated, James Blunt sang his new single called “Carry You Home” while some unknown dancers dance. The unknown dancers are pretty good in doing lots of lifts and tricks. James Blunt looks a bit scary when he sings and he needs to really stretch for those notes. I know - because I’m a singer. Yep, I’m not lyin’, I am.  Dang those unknown dancers especially the girl is twisting and slithering all over her male partner’s shoulders. She looks like a red and white human snake.

Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke (bottom 2) are backstage with Samantha. Cristian is upset and sad and calls Cheryl the best dancer. Cristian really wants to stay because he wants the challenge. It was a really downer of an interview.

Tom Bergeron revealed the next 2 saved couples. Mario and Karina Smirnoff and Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani. She is of course excited. Derek is hugging Shannon like they are a couple. I’m sorry, but they just look like it. Why am I apologizing? - I’m not sorry. I love it! Will Derek Hough carry the torch of the whole “I’m dating my dance partner” fiasco that his sister Julianne always has to go through every single season. First it was Apolo Anton Ohno and then Helio Castroneves. Funny how Adam Carolla never got the honor or “dating” Julianne. Was he just not good looking enough or did it have to do with the fact that he is married? I don’t know - you decide.

The next saved couple is Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough. She looks relieved and humbled. Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez are also safe which leaves Louis Van Amstel and Priscilla Presley in the bottom 2. I’m sorry, but Marlee Matlin should have been in the bottom 2, not Cristian. Tom starts the “scary music” and we learn that the couple leaving us tonight is Priscilla Presley and Louis Van Amstel. The judges are on their feet. Priscilla reveals that she DOES NOT have a psychic hotline - oh lord, people actually believed that? Crazy people in this country. We didn’t get to see her and Louis do their final dance because she was talking the whole time. So we’ll leave it at that - bye bye to Priscilla Presley and Louis Van Amstel. I really thought they had a chance, but the last 2 weeks have not been great. We’ll miss ya both!
