From the previews it looks like Brooke Burke is battling an injury. I’m suprised they didn’t say anything last week because she did go to the hospital because of her foot/ankle. Guess there was too much drama last week. Also, Julianne Hough made an announcement on her MySpace that she has to undergo surgery for Endometriosis. She will have surgery to remove her appendix. She will address the surgery tonight. You can read all about on Julianne Hough’s Personal Website.

First impressions of our stars: Julianne has a huge ball of hair in the back while Cody is decked out in Turquoise. Cheryl and Maurice look sauve. Brooke Burke looks smashing in white. Lacey is polka dotted and Lance’s shirt is hideious pink and white get up. Cloris looks like a ray of sunshine and Corky looks like his son in a black hat with yellow band. Susan Lucci looks hot in fringe and Tony Dovolani looks the same week after week. Kym Johnson has on some long hair extensions and Warren looks like he just came from a black tie event. And we see the judges and Len is obviously missing and it is ODD!  Our guest judge is Michael Flatley in case you were wondering - ya know, Lord of the Dance. Whatev!

Samantha tells us that the first group dance it tonight and it will be old skool hip hop - yayy! Can’t wait to see Cloris mess that one up. First up is Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke dancing the Viennese Waltz and Maurice hasn’t done ballroom since week 1.  Hmmm..someone messed up then - they should have done more ballroom than just one time. I guess the new addition of dances threw things off. They glide across the floor and he looks very confident. I thought it was elegant and beautiful - nicely controlled and graceful. Tom said it was an elegant start to the night - I couldn’t agree more.

Michael starts it off said it was beautiful stuff among other things. C.A. said lacking is a real chemistry and to work on that then they will go right over the top. Bruno said at times he looked like a surfer on dry land - it lacked fluidity. Scores were all 7’s for a total of 21 out of 30. And it was funny to hear the announcer say “Michael Flatley” instead of Len Goodman. I chuckled!. Oh and Bruno screamed 7 which was a little crazy and flamboyant.

Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer are up next dancing the Jive . And here we go with Lance thinking he is a bad dancer. He is hoping the jive will raise his spirits. Joey Fatone and Chris (from N’Sync) are in the studio and Joey gives him flick tips for the jive. Also, Lacey gave him stuff to shine this dance so we’ll see if he does it or falls - plus he has pink and black shoes on. LOL! I must say I love his kicks and flicks. He is right on point. He does a nice somersaut over by the judges and then comes back to Lacey not missing a beat. He does the Benji Schwimmer heal slide again with Lacey to prove he can do it w/o falling down and at the end they had some nice tricks where he slid through her legs. Overall, I LOVED IT! They danced to Tutti Fruiti by the way - crowd was on their feet cheering and screaming.

Bruno starts it off and said Lance is back on target - sharp edges and gleening with confidence. Michael said he doesn’t want to hear another word about confidence - he came out smokin’. C.A. screams and twirls her arms around - she thanked Lacey for listening and C.A. said she doesn’t know where Len is pointing to the sky (Tom said - he’s not dead. LOL!) and C.A. said Len would be thrilled at that performance. Scores were all 9’s for a total of 27 out of 30. Hmmm..thought some 10’s were in order.

Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani are up next dancing the Mambo. Susan has a heart to heart with Tony about the glass box comment. She said she is “having the trouble of finding the freedom to bring it to the dance floor.” Not sure what that means and I’m not sure why she has glitter on her chest in practice. Ick! Tony takes her to a Mambo club so she can let loose and have fun. She is hoping to come out wild and untamed tonight - we’ll see. I don’t believe it.  One thing is for certain her hair is wild and untamed. She seemed like she got a bit off there in the middle when she was trying to do fancy arm movements with Tony. And to be honest - she seemed unsure, not confident, and again trapped in a glass box even with the cougar-esque movement and bite action at the end. I did not like it!

C.A. said that this week she broke the box - WHAT? Bruno said the timing was off so many times and C.A. interrupts and they argue about it. Michael said she was off a little with her timing - he called it intoxicating. Yeah I need a drink b/c it was so bad intoxicating. WHAT were the judges seeing? Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 23 out of 30. Uh, Maurice Greene did tons better than Susan and Tony and she gets a better score!

Brooke Burke and Derek Hough dance the sexy Rumba . Brooke said she hurt her foot after the jitterbug. Derek was in the studio on Thursday without Brooke choreographing the dance. She has lots of therapy to get her foot back in order - Doc told her to rest for 7 days and she said that is not an option. Derek struggles with pushing too hard and not enough because of her foot problems. Looks like frustrating times in practice. So far it looks like they have the chemistry going - it is good that she got a slow dance with her foot problems. They dance to “No Air” by Jordin Sparks and the singing is horrible and squeaky. The dance was slow and sensual especially with her leg in the air with lots of sexy poses. I didn’t love it, but it was a good effort.

Michael starts it off for the judges and he said his breath was taken away. He said it was intoxicating how she never took her eyes off him and the ball. He is intoxicated tonight and I don’t think it is the dancing - I think he has some sauce under the table. C.A. said it was not her best dance and that it kills her to say that. C.A. said it seems like the injury held her back. Bruno said he felt she was under par tonight. Scores were 2 8’s and a 10 from Michael who is still on the sauce for a total of 26 out of 30.

Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas have the Cha Cha Cha this week. They duke it out in rehearsal and Corky admits he is at his wits end - well it is about time. I was at my wits end week 1. Corky brings someone in who was once upon a time her husband - I don’t know who he is really - someone named George. They play around a bit before and then with the hat putting it on each other. She has some bounce in her steps and she got off not remembering the steps. She seems to put her leg up to do a trick and Corky sets her straight and then they do the trick. The crowd screams - it was a good trick for her, but she messed up. Crowd was forgiving and they are on their feet. I say it is time for Cloris to finally leave us and it will be down to her or Susan this week.

Bruno starts off saying she has got to be the only person in the world that can sell such nonsense - and people buy it. The crowd screams and Cloris runs and shakes her boobies. Michael called her a legend and an inspiration. Michael’s father told her not to say a bad word about her, but said she is lucky to have such a talented man to help her through the competition. C.A. says they lost Toni Braxton for “this” and it pains her to see losing such a great dancer for “this” and the crowd boo’s. Finally, someone is telling her and America like it is - go on with your bad self, Carrie Ann. Scores were all 5’s for a total of 15 out of 30.

Cody Linley and Julianne Hough dance the Samba tonight. She talks about feeling sick and how she lost a lot of time to practice with Cody. Cody asks her if she is ok to dance and she said yes she should be ok this week. Cody is serious this week asking if sticking his butt out was too much and asking lots of questions about technique. He is getting into character this week by getting more spray tan and getting his hair sprayed black. Yes, sprayed not dyed. haha! He is really shaking his hips, but I think he is focusing too much on the technique rather than letting loose and getting down and dirty with Julianne. It was just ok for me. They dance to Whine Up in case inquiring minds wanted to know.

C.A. said it was so intense like the Paso Doble - she sees improvement and loved it. Bruno thought they got it completely wrong - no bounce at all. Carrie Ann and him fight. Bruno gets up and starts shaking it and C.A. tells him to sit down. Michael said he has everything it takes - said he wasn’t convinced that tonight was his night. Scores were 2 8’s and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 23 out of 30. Julianne said that Bruno has taken Len’s place tonight since he is being so stingy with his scores and a big complainer.

Julianne reveals to us her surgery and how she will have it next week - that Edyta will fill in for her as she recovers. Cody  is concerned, but happy to be with Edyta. Why sure - he gets 2 beauties to dance with. Hasn’t happened so far on the show. Also, Julianne should be back with Cody in a week if everything goes smoothly. This will be interesting because he has a comfort level and chemistry built up with Julianne. It will be interesting to see how he interacts with Edyta and what their chemistry will be - afterall she is an older woman and he is merely a boy. LOL!

Last up is Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson dancing the sexy Rumba.  They are playing lovers that hate each other then they love each other, etc. Yes, we’ve seen this before, but we’ll see if they bring something new. They dance to “Irreplaceable“. I thought Kym did great, but Warren didn’t really impress me much because he didn’t have a lot of content. At least I didn’t think. I really like him doing faster dances. And no, they didn’t bring anything new.

Michael said it was very entertaining - he would have liked to have seen more dancing though. C.A. said she thought it was very sexy. He reminds her of Emmitt Smith, but Warren adds an emotional quality that she really loves. She comments about a mistake and how he gave it away with his face. Bruno said he made some mistakes tonight with the footwork. I rewinding it to see Warren’s face with the mistake. Ok, caught it - and he did give it away with his face. It wasn’t as bad as the judges made it out to be though. Scores were 2 8’s and a 9 from generous Michael. Warren says “I like that new guy!” Total score 25 out of 30.

While they get changed, we get to see a taped package of everyone together learning the group hip hop - everyone tries to get some hip hop moves in and it is all very cheesy and cute. Brooke says it takes her back to high school in the 80’s and Derek asks “you went to high school in the 80’s?” Brooke gets quiet and shakes her head yes acting like she shouldn’t have admitted that. LOL! The celebrities have to show their skills in a little circle and Cody beatboxes and does some white boy moves. Susan tries and Warren loves that he can see people go before him to see someone worse off than him. LOL! Cloris comes in with a huge boombox on her shoulder asking “What’s up, homies?” Cloris says Warren is out there tiptoeing around, Lance is dancing like a fool, and Maurice is sweating like a bandit. LMAO! She is providing good comedy that is for sure. Warren calls out Maurice saying he has his own style and it isn’t a good style. Oh Wow - Susan is soooo white. Cloris raps while Corky beatboxes. It actually went like this “I’m Cloris Leachman, I’m the bomb. I brought the boombox, let’s get it on!” LMAO!

We’re back from commercial and the group dance is up. Cloris comes out punching with a hat on sideways, orange tights, orange knee socks, black jacket, chains around her neck - classic!! Oh and booty shorts too. Julianne has on purple spandex pants and her and Cody shake their booties. Lance has a mullet and it is sick!! Warren Sapp looks like Biz Marky. Derek does a flip. Warren has some smooth Chris Brown moves. Susan can’t keep up and is soooooo white girl!  Lance and Lacey Breakdance. Corky and Cloris close the show in the front of the pack. You could tell Brooke was taking it easy. Derek went all out and Maurice and Cheryl had a nice tricky flip too. Gawd, I can’t get over Lance’s mullett..ugh!

Bruno said some of you looked hip and others looked hip replacement. Michael said some PC stuff. C.A. gave props to herself in how she started her career as a fly girl. I thought it was all really cute and took our minds off the competition aspect. Cloris did shine in the group dance and Susan did not.

After taking into account the group dance - Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas and Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani will be the bottom 2. We also have a new leader this week in Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer. Unfortunately it came at a time when Brooke wasn’t at her best. We’ll see if they can hold onto the top when Brooke is back in tip top shape. I will say my favorite dance was Lance and Lacey’s Jive.

Leaderboard:
Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer 27 out of 30
Brooke Burke and Derek Hough 26 out of 30
Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson 25 out of 30
Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani 23 out of 30
Cody Linley and Julianne Hough 23 out of 30
Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke 21 out of 30
Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas 15 out of 30

Alyssa, I think the judges are trying to push Cloris out. I truly believe that Carrie Ann INaba is the worst biatch that lives. To actually insult Cloris about not being the one who was kicked off last week was unforgivable. someone should replace her. wow, at this point I would even take Paula Abdul and I can’t stand her. I voted for Cloris and I hope she stays and stays and stays…

  2. admin Says:

They are trying to push her out - more power to them. This is about dancing - did you think Cloris was the better dancer last night out of all the folks? I don’t think so.

  3. Jo-Anne Says:

She was better than some (susan) and not as good as others, but she tries and she doesn’t give up.
