It’s another big week with a group dance for everyone to learn on top of their regular dance. Hopefully it won’t be as miserable as last weeks, but somehow I doubt it. Oooh, I forgot that Cody Linley will dance with Edyta Sliwinska tonight, I can’t wait for that. They’ve got Cheryl Burke looking like some genie in a bottle/stripper. Boob alert, Cheryl Burke’s are about to pop out. Brooke Burke looks amazing. Tony Dovolani is shirtless…as usual. Kym Johnson also looks beautiful and not naked which is a nice change of pace.
Samantha Harris does some dancing that makes me sick. She keeps nodding her head like an idiot while Tom talks. She’s smiling at someone off camera, it’s weird. She’s terrible.
Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson are up first doing the Foxtrot. I have a feeling he will do this surprisingly well. Warren is focused tonight, he’s smooth though and I like it. Kym gets big points for the choreography, it’s fabulous. I’m not sure this was their best dance, but it was good. Kathy Griffin is in the audience, odd. Len did not love it. Warren looks like he might kill him right there on the stage. Scary eyes!! Bruno criticized his technique and called him flat footed. Carrie also did not love it, Warren blamed it on the shoes. He is going to kill all three of them in their sleep tonight. Three 7’s for a 21, yikes.
Second couple to dance are Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani. They show some rehearsal stuff backstage and Susan Lucci is acting like a spoiled little girl. Figures. She even cried some alligator tears, now I want her to be eliminated…I so hate women like that. The crazy costume she is wearing does not do her any favors, it makes her look squat. This is a decent Paso Doble, for her anyway. It’s not good, there is nothing natural about her movements and that bothers me a lot. I bet the judges will fall all over her. Bruno loved it. Carrie loved it and made Susan do something embarrassing to prove it. Len also said it was up with her best dances. Whatever. Three 8’s for 24. Again, whatever.
Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke are dong the Cha Cha Cha next. Another injury for this cursed cast, Maurice hyper extended his knee or something. The dance is cute, the choreography is fun. However, there is a lot of Maurice standing while Cheryl does all of the work. Do you think the judges will slam her for it like they did Lacey Schwimmer? Carrie called it a perfect mix of form and freedom. Len called it Maurice’s best dance yet. Bruno also loved it. Two 8’s and a 9 from Len.
Cody Linley and Edyta Sliwinska are doing the Viennese Waltz this week. They show them visiting poor sickly Julianne Hough. Cody Linley is a giant dork. Of course this dance has plenty of Edyta’s trademark leg throws and poses. Cody looks weird and uncomfortable. Their costumes are very bad. I don’t think this was good at all. The judges will go easy on them. Len said it looked uncomfortable. Bruno said it was like watching a fledgling bird, I agree with that. Stupid Carrie said she thought it was great, she’s more clueless than me. Two 7’s and an 8 from dumb Carrie.
Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer are dancing next. They argue like an old married couple, Lacey sheds a few tears. It’s dumb drama. They are doing the Rumba, barefoot. Lance has Vanilla Ice hair. They are an adorable couple. I could do without the theatrics of the bench, but overall I loved it. Bruno called it seductive and romantic. Carrie called it fantastic. Len didn’t get it, he said the shoeless thing was a distraction and also complained about the bench. Tom told Len he needs more fiber in his diet…ha! Two 9’s and a 7 from Len.
Last to dance are Brooke Burke and Derek Hough doing the Foxtrot. They have a whole Hollywood Glam thing going on. I guess this is good. I’m bored, I have to admit. There is nothing wrong with the dance or anything, maybe the Foxtrot is just a little boring. Carrie loved it. Len called it Fantastic. Bruno also loved it. Hmmm…here I go again not knowing what I am talking about. Perfect 30! Wow.
I don’t get this team dance business. They are on teams of six one doing the Cha Cha Cha and one doing the Paso Doble. They will be scored and the scores will count for half of tonight’s scores. I have a bad feeling about this. The group of Cha Cha Cha’s is Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer and Susan Lucci & Tony Dovolani and Cody Linely & Edyta Sliwinska. It is also a shameless product placement ad for AT&T. Cut to an AT&T commercial, shocking.
The Cha Cha Cha team does a few opening steps together then they break off into solos. Cody and Edyta are first, it’s fun. Susan and Tony are second, she’s terrible. He almost drags her at one point because she just can’t get the footing right. Lance and Lacey are the best by far. Hot, young, fun. They make the other couples look like it is their first day. Back to the group dancing. They do some partner switching for about a half a second. Seriously, at the end Lucci held her arms up in the air like she was the star of the show…who does that old broad think she is? Len liked it and even said Lance & Lacey’s solo was the best. Bruno also said the dance was saved by Lance and Lacey. Carrie said that it was brutal to watch and the unison was awful. She did say that Lance & Lacey were great. Two 7’s and a 6 from Carrie.
Team Paso Doble is up next. They are the stronger dancers by far, but that doesn’t mean they can work together. This groups precision is much better than the first team. Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson solo first and it is very intense. Kym has as scary look on her face throughout. Warren is throwing her all over the place. Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke solo next and it’s not so good. Maurice is stiff and nervous looking. Brooke Burke and Derek Hough are great, but they are smiling which is a little weird for a Paso. For the most part this is great, they won by a landslide. Carrie and Bruno loved it. Len thought it was fantastic but that it was easier to do formations in a Paso than a Cha Cha Cha. Two 10’s and a 9 from Len. I feel bad for the Cha Cha Cha team.
I am positive we will see this Paso Doble again tomorrow. It was great, but honestly the teams weren’t fair…seriously the producers had to know that.

For the fans that actually watch the show - just a little reminder that the results show will be Wednesday night not Tuesday. Sorry, Bridget. You must have been sipping on your wine when they mentioned that. Of course, it is due to the Presidential Election that we have to wait an extra night. But on to my comments - I hope Susan Lucci goes home this week. She is wearing on my nerves like white on rice. On the good side, it was nice to see Tony’s boobs this week instead of hers. She doesn’t have a fluent bone in her body. My favorite was Brooke Burke & her partner. She will definitely go all the way. I agree with you, Bridget. (OMG, did I just say that???) The encore dance will most likely be the Paso Doble Team dance or maybe even Brooke and Boy Toy Hough. Oh, and in case I haven’t told you lately, I love your blog.
