THE FINALE!!!

Heart beating fast…sweaty palms…nervous stomach…and that’s just me, imagine how the dancers feel!! Here we are at the finale and the remaining celebs and dancers are in costumes from earlier in the season. Helio is in his Dick Tracy outfit, that was a pretty great dance as I recall. During the recap they show Marie crying backstage…who cares. Hopefully they won’t keep us in suspense long about who is eliminated first. Samantha Harris interviews the finalists backstage, Marie makes lame jokes about what she is going to miss, Mel B. says it is the crew, Helio said it was Julianne and got all cutesy and funny when Samantha interrupted him, I really hope he wins.

Celine Dion is going to perform “My Heart Will Go On” before they announce the first loser. I know she is cheesy, but I love Celine Dion, I’m going to sit back and enjoy this. Edyta is dancing with some guy I don’t recognize, Cheryl Burke joins them, I can’t tell who her partner is either. Karina “new nose” Smirnoff and Tony Dovoloni join them. It’s like a reunion. I guess that is Mark Ballas with Cheryl Burke. Celine Dion applauds the dancers, I read that she would like to be on the show, but I think she is way too big a star.

The first result is…YES, YES, YES!!! Marie Osmond is out, woohoo. They get a standing ovation because everyone is so glad that she is not going to win!!! I know Alyssa is jumping up and down right now. I have to admit, Marie was clever and funny during the exit interview, she referred to hers as a Cinderella story and called the judges the three step-sisters. It was cute. Jonathan said that Marie told him in the beginning that, “I want to win this and I am going to work hard to do it.” I knew she was like that. They do their big breakout Tango, with some added lifts. Ta ta, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

After the break, we take a trip back to the beginning of the show and see some highlights of all of the celebs. Of course, they show Jennie Garth’s fall again. I’m sure they could not resist. Josie Marin and Alec Mazo are back with a Foxtrot, please tell me we are not going to see everyone again…I can’t deal with any more Mark Cuban and Cameron Mathison dances. This dance was as boring as the first time.

Next they do a funny montage of the final three’s backstage antics. Helio and Julianne are by far the cutest. Yeah, we have to sit through all of these dances again, I’m going to need more wine. Albert Reed and Anne Trebunskya did a great job though, it’s funny to see how this show works out, like I said all about popularity and he is soo Albert who?

More montage of the performances, lots of funny zingers. Fun with the lift controversy. Now they welcome Wayne Newton & Cheryl Burke. Wayne will not be dancing, as previoulsy reported on this site, because of a heart condition. So instead, they do an interview which is a little boring, Cheryl looked uncomfortable, Mr Las Vegas was self deprecating and cute.

On to another montage of the friends and family of the celebs, almost all the Spices and some Indy car drivers. Even Helio’s sister, who is beautiful, apparently she explained to Helio what sequins were-he looks great in them. Floyd Mayweather and Karina Smirnoff are here to chat, I guess he is preparing for a fight so he won’t be dancing either, my guess is it is more ego keeping him from dancing than a sore ankle.

Next up to “dance” for us is Mark Cuban and Kym Johnson doing their foxtrot, ugh. They go to a montage about the week they did that dance, or something the time line confused me. I guess it was the week Marie fainted also the week of the Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas elimination shocker. The Cheetah Girl is then back to dance again, showing us all how fabulous she really is. They get a standing ovation that the fabulous Tom Bergeron lets go on for a while, love him.

Samantha then interviews Drew Lachey and Apolo Anton Ohno, it’s pretty boring. After the break Jane Seymour and Tony Dovoloni are back doing the Viennese Waltz, the musical arrangement and singer are miserable. On to yet another montage, this show should really only be an hour. Cameron Mathison and Edyta are back, I refuse to watch this. They’re gone, I’m back in time to see Mathison take of his shirt, admittedly funny. Tom can’t get control, everyone is hooting and hollering. Drew & Bruno start to take off their pants before they talk about Bruno & Carrie’s upcoming show, it was all really funny. I am totally looking forward to their new show, Dance War Bruno vs. Carrie Ann.

Next up are Derek Hough and Jennie Garth, cute but I am so bored with all of this that I can’t concentrate. Finally we are done seeing the losers dance. Samantha plugs DWTS’ People’s Choice Award nomination, vote for them!!

Celine Dion is back doing a song from her new album which they intersperse with clips of the season shown in fuzzy 70’s porn style. I guess it is supposed to make us all weepy. The montage was swell, but the song was AMAZING!! Then on to another montage about Mel B. and Helio Castroneves, what else is there to see and say???

Finally we get to see the celebs and their partners dance their last dance. Mel B. and Maksim are going to do the Mambo, which they got two 10′a and a 9 from the hater Carrie last time. They do a really fabulous job, so incredibly spunky! I hope they get all 10’s, I think they deserve it. Len calls it incredible, Bruno truly magnificent, let’s see if Carrie is still riding the old cotton pony. And she is not, she loved it, she squealed!! I think it’s a perfect score. yep, a perfect 30…stiff competition for my new boyfriend Helio Castroneves.

Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough are going to do their Quickstep again. Helio commentates with some race car driver lingo, so adorable. The dance is great. They kiss again for a long time, I’m totally jealous. The judges all love it, I think they also deserve a perfect score. Again with the perfect score!!

So it all comes down to the call in votes from last night. If only we knew who was in the bottom two. Tom kills some time by interviewing Josie Marin, Mark Cuban, Jane Seymour, and Jennie Garth-sort of. Tom Bergeron is great, have I mentioned that?

We are forced to sit through yet another montage before they announce the winner. This is a little out of control. Alright, here it is. The champions of Dancing With The Stars 2007 are HELIO CASTRONEVES AND JULIANNE HOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY, YAY, YAY!!! I’m ecstatic it was so worth waiting for, I love him, they totally deserve it! I feel a little sad for Mel B. and Maksim, but oh well. YAY HELIO!!! See you all next season!
