Cameron Mathison Appears on Live with Regis & Kelly

Kelly Ripa has been all about rooting for Cameron Mathison because they are pals from her cheese-filled All My Children Days.  I can understand her wanting to support him, but today when he was on the show she went all out.  Dressed in her best slutty secretary attire, a red dress with no cleavage exposure but short enough that you could see her thong if she bent over, she treated him as if he were…a real star. She of course, managed to remind us that he spent his formative years with braces on his legs suffering from a rare degenerative joint disease called Legg-Pertheas.  Awww, poor, poor soap star.

Mathison was a virtual plug machine boasting about not only DWTS and All My Children, but the show he hosts on Soap Net called I Wanna To Be A Soap Star.  Soap Star conveniently airs on Thursdays at 11:00 PM, must be a real barn burner.  Anywho, Cameron was his usual egotistical self, feigning meekness while still moaning about his incredibly difficult schedule that nets him millions of dollars.  He also claimed that he, unlike other celebs on DWTS, is working hard not to lose weight, that he has to fight to keep weight on…as if I needed another reason to hate him.

Regis was actually pretty funny during the interview questioning Cameron about how close he and partner Edyta Sliwinska dance and how her body is always rubbing up on his.  Cameron, in an unusually truly funny moment, kept saying, “my wife is watching”, “my wife is watching” and even reminded us that Edyta’s husband is the ousted Josie Maran’s partner Alex Mazo.  The interview did not win my admiration.  Cameron always comes off a little fakey and annoying for me, but Live gave him two segments so someone (other than Kelly Ripa) must like him.
