My Predictions For DWTS

Now that I have had a few days to recover from the shock of Sabrina being voted off of Dancing With The Stars I figure I should work on some predictions for the coming weeks. I’m curious to see what my compatriot, Alyssa’s predictions are too. I think we should put a little wager on it, but that’s just me.
The Internet is certainly abuzz with chatter about Sabrina’s elimination. I’ve read that some people are boycotting the show because of Sabrina “Ms. Cheetah Girl” Bryan’s early exit. This to me is awfully silly. Isn’t the whole point of this type of reality competition not only about the best dancer but a popularity contest? Am I the only cat who realizes this? I have a little more faith in my fellow television viewers than that. I also have faith that the so-called boycotters will watch DWTS again, if they are interested enough to post on message boards about the show, they are going to keep watching. Not that I can’t understand the feeling, I distinctly recall vowing to never watch American Idol again if Chris Daughtrey didn’t win, but alas I sat through last years miserable season nonetheless. Who won that last season anyway, it was sooo boring and tedious that I have completely forgotten. That’s the breaks with reality shows sometimes, here today gone tomorrow right?
Oh well, onwards and upwards to this season’s predictions. I think that in the next couple of weeks we will lose the two old ladies and the soap sud. Jane Seymour and Marie Osmond, while they have my utmost admiration don’t really have the dancing chops to make it as the competition gets more difficult and more strenuous with two dances. I think Jane is a better dancer than Marie, at least in the slow stuff, but neither will make it to the finals.
I was severely chastised by my very best friend (or should I say former???) this weekend for my loathing of Cameron Mathison. She loves him and was appalled that he was in the bottom two. She, unfortunately does not have very good taste. I guess she thinks he is attractive, which might be a little bit true. However, he has really shown his limitations as a dancer lately. Also, the fact that he wound up in the bottom two last week means that his fans dialing fingers may be growing tired. Who can blame them? It’s like when you do something nice for someone and all they do is complain and complain and complain, you stop doing nice things right?
After those three exit we are left with Mel Brown, Jennie Garth, and someone else….hmm…who could that be..oh yeah, it’s my new boyfriend Helio Castroneves. I don’t know who is less famous Kelly Taylor or Scary Spice, but I know for sure that Helio is a shoo in for the finals. All is right with the world.
Mel B has been improving lately which is good news for her to stay in the finals. I think the Spice Girls think is starting to get a bit more play now, which helps her out also. Jennie Garth may be in danger of getting ousted because her game is getting a little static. The sweet, shy, dumb blonde thing can only take a girl so far you know? I would like just once to see a pre-dance clip of her being completely confident and comfortable with the dances. It would go a long way as far as her likability factor goes.
So for the finals, I predict Mel B. and Helio Castroneves. The winner, by a lap or two, will be Helio no doubt!! YAY!!!
