Steve Guttenberg Appears on Jimmy Kimmel

Sadly, my favorite celeb, Steve Guttenberg “Kimmeled” on Tuesday night. Jimmy Kimmel said that the Gute’s enthusiasm was rewarded with a swift kick in the groin on April Fool’s Day. How I wish this was a joke! Kimmel has a theory, which I share, that Steve was voted off because people who like him assume that he is safe so they don’t call in to vote. I agree, so folks call, call, call-you never know who might be next.

Steve got all warm and fuzzy about how great DWTS is for the American people, yawn. I think he is putting maybe a little bit too much stock into a television show. But that’s actors for you they always think they are saving the world. When asked about his Man-go with Jonathan Robert, Steve said that he thought the producers asked him to do it because they knew that he was going home anyway, true that! Steve said all his pals from his Katrina relief volunteering emailed about how great the Man-go was, Jimmy commented that maybe they should have emailed to vote for him instead. He then said, “thanks for nothin’ Katrina!!”

Jimmy asked about the ringer Kristi Yamaguchi and Steve went on and on about how it is not a real competition, just a television show. I guess that is true, I never really thought of it that way. However, according to the Gute in a real ballroom competition the judges never give their comments to the dancers, they just walk around noting things on cards. DWTS is really just entertainment…hmmm. We’ll have to remember that when our least favorite dancer makes it to the finals.

They did some schtick about Steve Guttenberg going on a blind date with one of the producers of the show. I’m not sure if this was made up or not. It was not really that funny. After that they did the ceremonial burning of the dancing shoes. As with last week, this was still not funny. Farewell Steve, I’ll miss you!!
