We’re back Liiiive (said like Tom in his guy smiley voice) to see who is going home - although we know no one is b/c Misty May-Treanor has left us. That’s my thoughts though- we’ll see. We get recap city. I’ll only post backstage confessionals if there is anything good to post about. Tom referred to Lance and Lacey as rebels. haha! Lance said he’s covered in sparkles and called it “fairy fart” LMAO! That was hilarious! Cody referred to Julianne as the “most beautiful instrument he’s every played” and said he is working on his lines - Julianne told him to work harder - ouch! I didn’t notice, but Corky threw Cloris’ wig and hit Carrie Ann in the head. Bet Bridget loved that since she hated Carrie Ann and her hair last night. hehe! Of course we see Misty’s injury again because they have to milk it for all its worth.
We now get to see Misty and Maks’ routine. Maks is dedicating this to Misty and Edyta is filling in - she’s darling in her school girl outfit. Maks looks nerdy though. I assumed Misty would have looked nerdy too, but Edyta always has to sex it up for us. I LOVED IT and I missed Misty doing it for us. I’m sad all over again. I can’t imagine Misty dancing that dance so I hope she comes back and does her jive for us like she wanted to. Tom poked fun at Maks’ costume stating he couldn’t believe he is wearing his street clothes or something like that. Ok, more recaps and they try to change it up and give us scores like a leaderboard with confessionals mixed in. Ya know, trying to draw it out.
We are gonna get our first saved couples: Brooke Burke and Derek Hough (no surprise there) and Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas (YUCK!). We are now treated to the performance of Kool N The Gang. Neato! We have some people dancing - unknowns and the guy is short. Honestly I don’t like these unknown dancers - I’d rather see our professionals. My fiance is mesmerized right now b/c of the unknown beautiful girls dancing. He even said “DAMN!”. Kool n the Gang has still got it - I liked it.
Now a taped package of our stars talking about their biggest strength in the competition. Yawn - boring. More results now - Maurice and Cheryl are safe. We’re now backstage with the first 3 saved couples. Brooke pleads for more votes b/c they still need them and still need to work hard. I loved how Samantha tries to shut Cloris up. I bet Samantha dreads interviewing Cloris. Cheryl wants to represent for Misty since Maurice is the only Olympian left.
Now the Rockettes and I will probably be bored during this - I don’t like this kind of stuff. Yep just as I thought - booooring! I’m fast forwarding. Back from commercial and Jennifer Hudson is up singing - she’s an Oscar winner ya know for “DreamGirls.” Julianne and her bro, Derek are out dancing now and it looks awesome. I love those 2. Jennifer looks like her hair got stuck in a straightener for too long. Julianne is on the judges table dancing all sexy - I think Len and Bruno are gonna have a heart attack. Dang, Derek just did flips across the stage - they are tearing up the floor, man. Loved that outta them - not so much the music, but them, yes!
We are now watching a taped package of choreographers’ talking about how difficult it is to come up with dances. I bet Bridget is bored to tears. I do see Brian Friedman (I think that is how it is spelled) is on this taped package - He’s on “So You Think You Can Dance” - love how these shows cross over. I think Lacey opened the door for this - perhaps?
There’s a bermuda triangle on the floor - Derek was injured, Misty was injured and so was Susan in the same exact spot. Edyta said there’s been more ambulances this season than any other - hmmm..I thought last season had the most, but what do I know? We get to see injuries over and over again - get to see Jeff’s injury and his doctor’s appt. We see Tony carrying Susan after her ankle injury. Now we are seeing Derek on the floor - he apparently hit his head on the floor - he gets carted off in the ambulance. Hmmm…with all these ambulances perhaps this season did have the most.
Next 2 saved couples are: Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson as well as Toni Braxton and Alec Mazo. Samantha is backstage and is probably relieved that Cloris isn’t back there. Nothing newsworthy to report - bunch of filler crap. We’re back from commercial break and Tom reveals that no one is going home tonight - DUH!. Julianne looks confused. Karina looks relieved. Tom tells us the votes from tonight will be added to the votes for next week. Samantha says that one couple will have a mountain to climb b/c they will reveal the couple who would have been going home tonight. I guess Cloris was safe and not in last place - that sux! That means either Cody, Rocco, Lance, or Susan would have went home tonight. I’m guessing Rocco.
What is up with Carrie Ann’s hair tonight? - GROSS! - looks like it is matted to the front of her head. The judges gave the last 4 couples some critiques on what they need to do next week. I bet they aren’t listening b/c they are more concerned with who would have been going home tonight or maybe that is just me. I dunno.
Next saved couple is Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani. Cody Linley and Julianne Hough follow them as being safe. Who SHOULD have been going home tonight? Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff. They would have been eliminated, but since Misty withdrew, no one is going home. Rocco and Karina are gonna have to kick some major booty next week with the scores they got this week. Also Cloris having the lowest scores from the judges will also have to do some major damage to not be eliminated. C’mon guys - let’s get rid of Cloris. You know she is worse than Rocco. We want to see cutey pie, Rocco stay around a little bit longer - at least longer than Cloris - so STOP VOTING FOR CLORIS - I beg of you!
