Dancing With The Stars: Results Wk. 6

Yo.  Sorry for the lateness of this post.  I am still concussed, so if I start rambling you’ll know why.  On second thought, you probably won’t notice!  I’m hoping Michael Flatley won’t put me into a catatonic state…but anything is possible.

Samantha Harris has the worst hair ever.  I think someone in wardrobe hates her.  I can’t say that I would blame them, she’s annoying.  Lots of recrapping.  Does anyone watch the results show only and not the actual episodes?  Do we really need all of this recrapping?  I think someone out there should start a letter writing campaign to get this show cut down to 1/2 an hour.  I only have so much time to kill you know.

Everyone loves Flatley.  Suck ups.

I’m still mad at Carrie for being mean to Cloris.  I hate that they showed her looking a little sad.  I love that Tom made fun of Carrie, I think he hates her as much as I do.  Sigh…I love Tom.

Oh please, they are doing that miserable group hip hop again.  Cody Linley is beat boxing, now that is really unnecessary.  I’m just going to close my eyes and enjoy the old school hip hop…those were the days.  It is almost mean that they put Susan Lucci next to Lacey Schwimmer, I’m ok with mean though.

First safe couples are Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer and Cody Linley and Julianne Hough.  I’m glad Cody is in (not that there was much doubt-but wouldn’t that have been a kick in the teeth!) I want to see him dance with Edyta “crazy legs” Sliwinska.  Those two could not be more mismatched.

Cute kids dancing.  I’m fast forwarding through this.  It makes my stomach upset and I’m already nauseated from the head trauma. I watched the judges, everyone loves them.  I think Carrie is off the wagon tonight.  Tom blames her behavior on caffeine, he is being such a gentleman to the drunk lady.  More kids, fast forward, their great.

Backstage Samantha interviews the kids.  Do you think they wonder how she got her job?  I know I do.  Craig and Samantha win, yay.

The Pussycat Dolls are performing.  I would rather drive rusty nails through my fingertips than watch this.  Missy Elliot joins them.  I know nothing about her.  The camera angles are making me dizzy.  Weird how I can feel dizzy in the middle of the day without any wine involved.  This is one of the worst performances I have ever seen.  Of course, they haven’t brought out creepy Michael Flatley yet, so I’m sure it will only come in second for this evening.

Samantha Harris interviews Edyta and Cody backstage.  Edyta looks like she could be his mother.  Not that she looks old, he’s just prepubescent.  Tom made a funny Julianne joke.  I think these shows should be more Tom and less second rate performances by singers who don’t really know how to sing.

Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson are safe.  Good, he’s growing on me.  Of course if the costumes for Kym keep up at the current rate, next week she’ll just be in a fig leaf and pasties.  I don’t think you can do that on network TV.

Time for the Lord of the Dance himself, Micheal Flatley.  I’ve never liked tap dancing.  I hate the sound of tapping more than any other sound, maybe that is why.  Technically I think he is clogging, but who really cares.  Is this whole thing a solo?  He’s a cross between Fred Astaire and Micheal Jackson in the “Smooth Criminal” video.  Yep, it’s all old school tonight kids.  Now he has added a fire trick.  Blah.

Montage time.  I don’t care.  Brooke Burke and Derek Hough are safe as are Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke.  That leaves Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas and Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani in the bottom.  It’s going to be Cloris, that blows.

Yep, I was right Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas are out tonight.  She takes it with her normal humor and makes sure the judges know there are no hard feelings.  Don’t worry Cloris I have enough for the both of us.  Lucci will be out next week, I’m sure of it.

Bridget, hope you are feeling better. I was sorry to see Cloris go, I really thought Susan should have gone AND Carrie.
Now, about tap dancing…it was not clogging. Michael Flatley is an awesome tap dancer. It is a very difficult way to dance. I love tap dancing and he makes it look so simple. He was telling a story with his taps and it was really great except for the unnecesssary fire.
Anyway, Let’s hope next week the fans kick off Carrie Ann. :)

    Hello Bridget!
Just a little nitpickimg (No, this is not C.A. in disguise..):
Your concussion (I hope you are feeling better!) must have beamed you back in time - At least one week - Since the title of your latest post says “Wk 5″
