…Manilow, Manilow, Manilow…I’m so excited. The only way Dancing could top this weeks show is if they reunited New Kids On The Block for one night of results. Anywho, it looks like ABC has chosen to take embarrassment and tragedy as their openers for the results show, Jane Seymour’s Mom’s death, Jennie Garth’s fall, and Marie Osmond’s fainting all made it into the opening montage…I guess if it bleeds it leads on ABC.
I thought the rehash of last night’s show was as boring as usual. The only funny note came from Sabrina Bryan complaining about the judges saying it was too powerful, she said, “this is the slowest we have danced” I don’t think she appreciates the difference between power and speed, probably because she is pre-pubescent.
Apparently, Jane Seymour is out with food poisoning. How funny will it be if she is not even there to get voted off?? I’m still holding out for the Soap dud, Cameron Mathison, to leave us this week…a girl can dream. Ugh, I can’t believe they are bringing back the group dance, it was hard enough to watch the first time. Who is Tony going to dance with since Dr. Quinn is puking somewhere backstage…who cares?
How can you not love Barry Manilow, seriously. I wish they would show less Cheryl and Louis and focus on the real star for this number. I’ve seen him live a couple of times, if you ever get the chance go, it is totally worth it and you might be the youngest person in the room, which is always nice. This dance is actually pretty fun to watch and Bergeron is right you would think the song, “And They Dance” was written for the show.
Who are the random audience members they got opinions from, not one interesting person in the bunch…not even interesting enough to make jokes about-very sad for me. First safe is Mel B and Maksim, with a perfect 30 yesterday that was expected. Next is Jane Seymour and Tony Dovoloni-how funny was it when Maksim pummeled Tony when they announced he was safe. I guess my shot at the really funny moment when Jane Seymour gets kicked off whilst she hurls in the back is over…sigh.
Now we get the explanation for the eagerly awaited(?) Bruno/Carrie dance off show. Drew Lachey is hosting, we’ll see if he can pull it off. The show, called Dance Wars looks a little bit random, but I bet seeing Queen Bruno get pissy with people will be worth the price of admission. The dance preview we see is good, very Broadway-esque. I’m not sure the TV audience will love it, remember that Grease casting show? No? Neither does anyone else…get my point?
Next up is my sweetie Barry Manilow singing one of my favorites “Mandy”…loved it, enough said.
The little montage where the celebs supposedly questioned the judges was fairly interesting. However, I would prefer they just made this show 1/2 an hour and skipped all of this garbage. They keep saying today’s elimination is surprising, if it is my new boyfriend Helio Castroneves I quit!
Next safe is tonight’s fantasy for me, Helio Castroneves WOO HOOO!! Aren’t you all so lucky that I will be back to blog again. Try to contain your excitement. DWTS has taken a note from Ryan Seacrest on American Idol and is making us wait until after the break to find out if Marie “I quit breathing and have allergies” Osmond is also safe, I doubt it.
Back from the break and they have stretched enough so that we can finally find out who is safe and who has to hang up their dancing shoes tonight. YAY MATHISON IS IN THE BOTTOM TWO…maybe dreams do come true after all. Jennie Garth and Derek are announced safe next as are Marie Osmond and Jonathan. Yep, that leaves Sabrina Bryan in the bottom two, I know I gasped in shock-but maybe the pre teens who watch the Cheetah Girls and actually know or care who she is can’t stay up late enough to vote. So my mouth is totally hanging open…I am really shocked that Sabrina and Mark are out. She’s really the only real dancer in the competition, it’s unbelievable. Just remember that this country voted out Chris Daughtry for Taylor Hicks on American Idol and we don’t even need to talk about the Commander in Chief…what do we know.
On the upside Mathison was in the bottom two so maybe I only have to put up with him one more week. Oh is that Manilow singing them out…sigh sigh sigh.

I would like to say I’m very glad that both Marie Osmond and her dancing partner Jonathan Roberts were saved to go onto the semi finals during last week’s results from Dancing With The Stars ” . I must admit I think both of them earned it to become the next ” Dancing With The Stars ” Champion no matter what it takes as long as all of her family and friends and especially fans who have been supporting Marie Osmond since the very beginning, she will become not only as an entertainer in this business but a diva icon who has dedicated herself to become the best there is at this point ! Way to go girlfriend ! My money or vote will be Marie Osmond !

Don’t you think that Marie is merely staying on the show b/c of going on Oprah, Lary King Live, etc.? This is a dancing competion and she clearly isn’t up to par with the other contestants (Mel B. and Helio). Don’t you feel that the best dancer/most improved dancer should win the competition? That certainly is not Marie Osmond.
